Dear AWA Singapore members and interested newcomers, Hello to everyone and welcome to the newcomers! As I write this, we are still in Phase 2 of post-Circuit Breaker reopening in Singapore. The future is uncertain in terms of travel and COVID-19, and I hope you and your families are well and safe. Deb Minnock President
I am honored to serve as President of such a wonderful organization this year. As you will see from this magazine and from our website, we have a lot of varied activities, and everyone can find a place within this 85-year-old organization to have fun, get acclimated and be comfortable, and have an enriched experience while living here as guests of this beautiful country, Singapore.
American Women’s Association is a sisterhood of women from around the world, who come together to enhance their Singapore experience through fulfilling, volunteer-run events and activities.” The AWA, as an organization, strives for the “best day,” and our amazing volunteers make this happen time and time again. As President of this wonderful organization, I want community service and inclusion to be important this year, given the seemingly chaotic world around us. Though we can only meet in low numbers for most activities at this juncture, we will do our best to offer virtual and real activities to help old-comers and newcomers alike to enjoy a fulfilled and meaningful life on the Red Dot. We will seek to offer larger attendance at events as soon as it is safe and we are able. Be well! Best regards,
