Why Volunteer?

Volunteering with the AWA is a great way to meet new people, especially if you are new to Singapore. It strengthens your ties to the community and broadens your support network, exposing you to people with common interests, to community resources and to activities that are both fun and fulfilling. It truly can be a rewarding experience.

Volunteering at the AWA

As a volunteer-run organization, the AWA couldn’t function without members who generously give their time. They create fun activities and events for us all to enjoy, work in the office, host book groups, lead walks/runs, teach mahjong, oversee our social media channels, produce the AWA Magazine, and serve on the AWA Board.

Behind the scenes at the AWA Fashion Show Each year, our calendar is filled with at least six major events and over 30 different ongoing activities and outings. Each of these events is organized by a vast team of volunteers. It may come as no surprise that some of these ladies wear multiple hats. They may lead a walk and model in the Fashion Show, they might teach mahjong and lead a local tour, or they could be a member of the Board and oversee a community service organization. How to Volunteer

If you have been wondering how to get more involved, meet like-minded people or give back, I highly encourage you to volunteer with the AWA! We would love to have you join us at one of our Drop-in Coffees.
