New Zealand’s Marlborough region where Wai Hua Sauvignon Blanc is produced, has an outstanding international reputation as one of the world’s leading wine regions for Sauvignon Blanc production. There has been much global discourse on what makes this tiny region in one of the world’s smallest countries so unique for wine production, with the answer thought to lie in its climate, the knowledge and dedication of the winemakers and the proximity of the area to the Pacific Ocean. There is indeed a natural synergy between the soil of the Marlborough region and the weather patterns. Sunny days, low rainfall and ocean breezes are all in part responsible for the region’s unique Sauvignon Blanc style.
