Kara Manza, Roaming Texas - Kara Manza has an immense love for all things Western and historical maps.

Having made Texas her home state for the past 18 years, she decided to pay homage to it by creating a captivating mixed media masterpiece called “Roaming Texas.” This art piece features five vintage Texas maps and a stunning depiction of a herd of longhorns, painted meticulously with acrylic. Eric Paxton, Flavor - (Saporis Multum Adventus Laminum Procol). In September 2017, two Category 5 Hurricanes, Irma & Maria, struck the U.S. Virgin Islands. In St. Croix we experienced profound wind speeds that had a catastrophic effect on buildings, infrastructure & mental health. I was inspired by the resilience of a community coming together to aid each other in a time of crisis. I was also inspired by the mounds of storm debris that was piled up along every road. I could see how these pieces of fractured homes had a story. A roof that once sheltered a family was now a pile of destruction. I began repurposing these materials as surfaces for my paintings. Bevil Templeton-Smith, Columna Reborn - My photographs are of crystals of various chemicals photographed in polarised light on my 50 year old microscope. I make and photograph many hundreds of microscope slides.

Columna was created and photographed in October 2022, but it was mixed in with other slides and lost. The original photograph was the centrepiece of my exhibition in London in March. I have searched for the slide since, but was not able to find it - assuming that I had accidentally cleaned and recycled it - until September 2023 when I surprised myself by running across it unexpectedly. Jolyane Abel, Emergence - I explore the temporality of the various layers applied to the support where my action is deposited in different rhythms: slow or fast. The superimposition of cooperating phenomena and the subsequent addition or elimination of their effects. The tension of the interference of different rhythms among the elements of the canvases.
