We are thrilled to present the Fall 2024 Edition of ART E$TATE Curated Magazine, which celebrates the fusion of artistic lifestyle, fashion design and fine arts
This summer, we had the privilege of attending two remarkable events, one of which took place on the breathtaking Big Island of Hawaii There, we covered the preview of Fashion Week Hawaii 2024 and were immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of local fashion brands, crafts, performances, and fine arts We aimed to capture this energy in our Fall Edition
Another spectacular event was the Reno Tahoe International Art Show 2024, held in Reno, Nevada, right after Burning Man This art show showcased a diverse range of artistic expressions fine arts, fashion, the film industry, music, and performances We were delighted to visit the featured gallery booth at the Reno Show, presented by Winn Slavin Fine Art (Beverly Hills, California), as well as their museum booth, “Surrealism Revisited,” which displayed works by Salvador Dalí and Sir Daniel Winn. We also had the opportunity to interview the gallery founders, Sir Daniel Winn and Randall J Slavin Their work has been a source of inspiration for us, and we are grateful for their unwavering support since the inception of our magazine
We are also excited to announce that ART E$TATE is evolving beyond a magazine; we are now also a gallery dedicated to discovering and nurturing new talent in the art market Our mission is to elevate gifted artists from around the world, ensuring their work is recognized and appreciated We aim to provide opportunities for emerging artists, regardless of where they are located
This year, we ’ re thrilled to announce our participation in one of the most prestigious art fairs during Art Basel Miami week Aqua Art Miami 2024, taking place from December 4-8 in Miami Beach, Florida This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the extraordinary works of the talented artists featured in our magazine, alongside the vibrant new voices we continue to discover.
But that's not all! We will also represent the United States at the Qatar International Art Festival 2024, from November 25-30, in the beautiful and cultural city of Doha, along with the participants from 65 countries
We are open to new participants, and welcome the artists working in painting, sculpture, photo art, digital art and fashion design, to join us at this amazing journey.
Finally, I would like to emphasize that we view the magazine business as another form of art, as storytelling encompasses writing, acting, directing, and painting I hope each story told by our talented contributors resonates with you, inspires you, and fills you with positive creative energy.
Last month, I was fortunate enough to attend one of the most intriguing and distinctive art events in the United States the Reno Tahoe International Art Show 2024, which took place from September 12th to 15th at the RenoSparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada.
I was amazed by the nearly 140,000 square feet of exhibition space filled with local and international galleries, inspiring works from emerging and blue-chip artists, and impressive large-scale sculptures, some of which had just arrived from Burning Man! But most of all, I was struck by the significant contribution to this remarkable art fair made by the Beverly Hillsbased gallery Winn Slavin Fine Art. Their two booths immersed every attendee in a beautiful world of true artistry and deep existential concepts.
I also had the unique opportunity to view one of the first screenings of the short film “Ectropy,” presented by Winn Slavin Fine Art during the fair.
The following interview took place in one of the gallery’s stunning booths, featuring its founders: internationally recognized bluechip artist, fine art curator, award-winning entrepreneur, and highly respected philanthropist Sir Daniel Winn, alongside American entrepreneur, fine art dealer, and philanthropist Randall J. Slavin. We discussed their contributions to the Reno Tahoe International Art Show, the specifics of art fairs and the art market in general, and the mission of Winn Slavin Fine Art.
Thank you for inviting me to this amazing event! Why did you decide to participate this year in the Reno Tahoe International Art Show? What is your feedback about this fair?
SIR DANIEL WINN: This is the third edition of the Reno Tahoe International Art Show. The first edition in 2022 was very small, and last year we were invited to exhibit for the first time. The reason we returned this year is that we feel there is a demographic here with disposable income Some of my top collectors are in Reno, and the investors for our Masterpiece Publishing Agency are actually from Reno as well They also own many casinos and wineries here
We wanted to come back at their request, but more importantly, we wanted to help establish Reno as a destination for art, as they seek to enhance the city's cultural diversity in music, design, film, and fine arts
When we approached the President of the Reno Art Show, he thought it would be a great idea to contribute our expertise from over 30 years in the art industry to their fair. Because we exhibited last year, they doubled their size this year as more exhibitors wanted to get involved. Additionally, we collaborated with the Shanghai Museum of Modern Art for our exhibition of “Surrealism Revisited” featuring the art of Salvador Dalí alongside my art including works originally exhibited at the museum in 2019
We also held a focus screening of our short film, "Ectropy," the premiere of which will take place in November in Beverly Hills I believe that Reno is a perfect location to merge cinematic art with fine art, creating a unique art fair that could potentially attract galleries and artists from all over the world in the future, making it an annual destination similar to Art Basel, Art Miami, or Frieze Art Fair Reno has great tourist attractions, restaurants, and hotels
RANDALL SLAVIN: As a gallerist, one of the things that impresses me most about the Reno Tahoe International Art Show is its true focus on the artists and exhibitors Too many shows have turned into events focused solely on selling tickets, regardless of whether the attendees are qualified buyers or even interested in art Many art fairs have become parties or social events, which is fine, but there is still a need for art fairs that prioritize art itself The Reno Tahoe International Art Show is a great example of this It isn’t just about partying or selling tickets; the promoters and organizers are genuinely focused on integrating fine art, film, music, and art in general into a single event that serves the Reno community
SIR DANIEL WINN: I’d like to add that over the last 30 years, I’ve participated in at least 50 international art fairs In my experience, the majority of them, if not all, are primarily focused on business and making money they aim for high attendance and often charge exhibitors a lot However, this show, in the last two years that we ’ ve exhibited, is about passion The organizers and promoters are truly passionate about fine art, music, performance, and film as well This matters a great deal to us, which is why we want to contribute to and support the Reno Tahoe International Art Show They align with our philosophy of caring for and being passionate about art It’s not just about money Sales will come if the promoters and organizers support the exhibitors and artists ensuring they have the best show and the best content and are doing everything possible for their success
The priority of the Reno Tahoe International Art Show is the gallery, the exhibitor, the artist, and their passion. To me, that surpasses every other art fair in the world.
I’m sure that with the continued support of Winn Slavin Fine Art, the Reno Tahoe International Art Show will become a new destination for artists, galleries, and collectors from all over the world. Visiting this art fair today, I noticed several important galleries and outstanding artists. However, your two booths are truly impressive. It seems that you have two different concepts here: the first dedicated to the aspiring artists you work with, while the second represents two masters Salvador Dalí and Sir Daniel Winn.
RANDALL SLAVIN: The show is really focused on creating something unique This year we are presenting “Surrealism Revisited,” which examines the contrast between Modern Surrealism as expressed by Salvador Dalí, and Contemporary Surrealism as expressed by Sir Daniel Winn We have been fortunate to bring in some very special and unique Dalí works, some of which have never been exhibited before, alongside these spectacular, massive oil paintings by Sir Daniel It’s a wonderful contrast and comparison This adds something beyond the commercial aspect to the fair; it brings a level of education, interest, and name recognition that helps promote the event
SIR DANIEL WINN: We wanted to bring our best experience to the Reno Show The organizers, along with the Shanghai Museum of Modern Art, sponsored this 3,000-square-foot space for an exhibition featuring Salvador Dalí alongside my work. Five years ago, the Shanghai Museum of Modern Art held an exhibition of Dalí’s and my work, which was phenomenally successful. After COVID, they wanted to have an additional show, so we presented the idea of collaborating with the Reno Tahoe International Art Show to the museum, and they were thrilled to participate Having this museum exhibition featuring both Dalí and myself elevates the quality of the show We curated it based on our experience, focusing on presentation and marketing Bringing in an original work by Dalí is incredibly rare, along with archival pieces from the Argillet Collection in Paris that have never been seen before
SIR DANIEL WINN: In addition, part of my collection exhibited at the Shanghai Museum of Modern Art has also been brought here, along with my latest collection, the Ectropy series, to create a spectacular impact. Everyone was extremely happy with what we ’ ve accomplished. It elevates the show significantly, and potentially next year it will attract even higher-caliber artists and galleries. We also brought our gallery, Winn Slavin Fine Art, from Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive, with a booth of about 1,200 square feet displaying our current red-chip and blue-chip artists By doing this, we set a high standard for other artists and galleries to see both the curated museum booth and our gallery booth so they can enhance their presentations for future shows at the Reno Tahoe International Art Show
Both of your booths look amazing! Today is the third day of the show Do you already have feedback on which artworks are captivating the audience the most? And what is selling well?
SIR DANIEL WINN: At Winn Slavin Fine Art, we mostly feature red-chip artists, and there has been a lot of intrigue and interest Many collectors who purchased from us last year returned to buy more pieces
We also brought in some new artists this year At our booth "Surrealism Revisited," we ’ ve sold quite a bit of my work I believe we ’ ve sold at least six sculptures, as well as a Dalí etching In fact, we ’ ve sold far more than we anticipated I’m glad to see that there are works of interest, and there are art collectors in Reno looking to acquire pieces for their homes
RANDALL SLAVIN: Winn Slavin Fine Art primarily represents contemporary living artists, and we brought ten of those artists to the Reno Tahoe International Art Show this year This is a supplemental addition to the museum feature We really wanted the artists at the Reno Show to feel encouraged and to understand that it is possible to excel in the art business and create works that resonate with people.
It is a very beautiful mission Sir Daniel, can you tell us more about your Ectropy series? I saw some of your pieces that I have never seen before
SIR DANIEL WINN: The collection I’ve created was inspired by Dalí’s surrealism My style is Existential Surrealism, and this collection also ties in with the short film "Ectropy: Chaos to Order"
SIR DANIEL WINN: The film depicts Mother Nature being inspired by an artist an entity that created a Garden of Eden My collection features many elements of nature: organic forms, flowers, fruits, and trees, as these are part of Mother Nature’s story in "Ectropy," which brings chaos to life According to the Big Bang theory, through chaos comes order, beauty, and life My collection of paintings and sculptures reflects this idea It’s because of chaos that we now have beautiful order an organic Garden of Eden filled with flowers and beauty That beauty arises from chaos The same concept applies to my sculptures The beauty of my pieces in bronze is perfected and ordered through chaos, created and shaped from chaotic material into figurative beauty
What are your future plans for Winn Slavin Fine Art after the Reno Tahoe International Art Show?
SIR DANIEL WINN: The future plans for Winn Slavin Fine Art are quite full Later this year, we are premiering the movie "Ectropy" in November In addition to that, 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War As a VietnameseAmerican and a refugee who came to the US in 1975, I am releasing my memoir next year There is also a movie script based on my life that is in development and will be produced in a few years However, in 2025, we didn’t want to miss this opportunity, so we are planning to create a short film based on the memoir Winn Slavin Fine Art is going to enhance the 2025 anniversary with "Indochine Impressions," which will feature VietnameseAmerican artists and share with the world what has happened in the last 50 years since the end of the war
This exhibition will showcase art that has arisen from that period
Next year, we plan to engage the world with a selection of Indochine artworks in honor of the 50th anniversary of the end of the war
RANDALL SLAVIN: The concept behind the "Indochine Impressions" exhibition is really interesting France controlled Vietnam for about a hundred years, up until around 1952-1954
During that time, Paris was the center of the art world, and those traditions, particularly Impressionism and Surrealism, were brought to Vietnam After the war, nearly 50 years ago, this influence ceased The artistic community in Vietnam developed these concepts in a completely different way than the rest of the world, which was isolated from them It’s fascinating to see how Vietnamese artists adapted those concepts and styles. It’s a really interesting exhibition. We already showcased it at the gallery last year, and we look forward to bringing it to the Reno Tahoe International Art Show next year.
Thank you very much for such an amazing conversation! Our magazine, and I personally, are very inspired by everything you are doing
is a distinguished European artist and sculptor, renowned for her innovative approach in the art world, particularly through her concept of "Art With Intention" and her unique artistic technique known as "Missionary Symbolic Graphics." In the inaugural issue of ART E$TATE Magazine, we conducted an extensive interview with this intriguing artist, delving into the essence of Quantum Art and its impact on human lives.
Over the past two years, Anastasia’s art has evolved significantly. Her projects have grown in scale and gained international acclaim, touching the lives of an increasing number of people each day. We had the opportunity to connect with Anastasia shortly after her return from the Monaco Art Fair, where she made a notable impact, to discuss the new projects she has been working on over the last few months.
Anastasia, what does the term "Quantum Art" mean?
It is grounded in the latest advancements in physical cosmology and discoveries in quantum mechanics of elementary particles
This art form represents a philosophical and scientific understanding of the universe, the cosmos, and the energetic essence of humanity, all as expressed by the artist on canvas
Sounds interesting! But what is your personal contribution as an artist to this new art direction?
As a Corresponding Member of the Quantum Art Academy in Milan (IAMAQ), I propose a different perspective on Quantum Art its practical application Specifically, I focus on Quantum Art that the viewer can engage with directly We are all familiar with the phenomenon of quantum entanglement, where the quantum state of two or more objects becomes interdependent
This principle underpins a new style in contemporary art that I have developed, called “Missionary Symbolic Graphics.”
In my work, specific symbols, color combinations, digital codes, and intentions are embedded into the paintings. These elements influence the viewer’s consciousness and subconscious through quantum interactions, shaping the necessary quantum fields, which in turn contribute to the creation of the desired reality.
Approximately 90% of the information for a sighted person is perceived through the visual system. This information is then processed by the brain, triggering a series of biochemical processes that impact our body on a physical level Neurobiologist Semir Zeki, who established an institute for neuroaesthetics, studied how visual images affect humans He demonstrated that when a viewer looks at a painting, they can interpret the artist’s intention behind the canvas Beyond the brain and physiological structures, information also reaches the subconscious and unconscious mind, where it operates on different levels This process activates theta and delta waves in our brain, which then consolidate and shape our reality. By incorporating these principles into my art, I create paintings that send clear signals to the brain, consciousness, and unconscious mind about which processes to undertake and which direction to follow
Sounds intriguing, but how can we combine paintings, quantum physics, and wish fulfillment?
To ensure that our desires are realized and our reality aligns with our wishes, there is a "magic pill" that many have been searching for. This "pill" is called "Quantum Coherence"
Yes, let’s talk about your new art project “Fulfilment. Quantum Coherence”. Could you tell us about its main concept?
In "Fulfilment. Quantum Coherence," my goal is to create a state where the viewer exists simultaneously in the present moment and the desired future. The core idea of the project is to create an environment for the viewer where they are fully immersed in the moment a moment where their energy is most concentrated. This state helps in visualizing and shaping the future through the mind and quantum interactions Quantum coherence allows us to influence reality through these processes. What elements did you use to create this environment?
The project incorporates a range of elements such as dimensions, symbols, colors, and numerical codes These elements help establish a unique atmosphere where the viewer can become an active creator of their own reality
For instance, the symbol of water, a color that triggers the energy of abundance, and fish, which symbolize wealth and fertility, merge on the canvas to form a symbol of new beginnings and the realization of goals I drew inspiration from monumental art and create abstractions that act as keys to unlocking the world of quantum coherence
Moving on to you another new project - “Eternal Values," what is the main idea behind this one?
"Eternal Values" features sculptures, each representing enduring and immutable values The aim of the project is to highlight, preserve, and communicate ideals that are fundamental to world culture and society. I use materials like brass, clay, and acrylic to create unique forms and textures. Symbols such as fish, corals, and water have powerful energy and remind us of core human values
How do you work with symbolism and textures in those pieces?
In my works, I carve words into the surfaces of the objects, resembling messages found on fossils. These symbols and inscriptions make my pieces unique and meaningful, as they convey important messages across time The sculptures become time capsules that preserve these messages and pass them from generation to generation, reminding us of what is truly important to humanity
That’s really impressive! How does your art impact viewers’ lives?
I hope my work serves as a powerful tool for transformation and growth It creates emotional and energetic vibrations that inspire and motivate viewers, helping them tap into their potential and achieve well-being Through my art, I aim to assist people in reaching their goals and finding success and prosperity ARTWORK BY
How do you combine art and science in your creation?
"Fulfilment" is a blend of art and science I continue exploring Quantum Art, neuroaesthetics, and symbolism By using fish as an archetypal symbol of prosperity and focusing on color psychology, I create works that facilitate a dialogue between art and science. Textured paste, acrylics, and spray paints are used to create counterreliefs and various textures, reflecting the ancient world and its harmony.

In addition to her modeling achievements, Amina-Mo’nique is actively pursuing a career in acting. In this exclusive interview, she shares her candid experiences of the challenges and triumphs she has encountered on her creative journey.
That sounds like a very unique and rich background. Could you tell us about the challenges you faced growing up?
From the age of five, I endured severe domestic violence Every night before falling asleep, I would pray for the Universe to let me not wake up Despite this, my dream of becoming a Hollywood director and screenwriter kept me going I believed that this goal would eventually help me escape the pain and lead me to Hollywood, walking the red carpet with an Oscar in hand.
That’s incredibly intense. How did your experiences shape your ambitions?
At the age of nine, I started a "horror diary," where I recorded my pain and struggles after long hours of abuse, often escaping to the cornfield in our large garden Films became my motivation; I saw myself as a director and would constantly ask, "How would I have filmed this scene?" I didn’t just watch movies; I studied them from a directorial perspective
When did you decide to pursue your dream of moving to Los Angeles?
At twelve, I told my mother that I would soon move to Los Angeles to make films about our harsh lives I envisioned myself in the lead roles, even though I hadn’t considered becoming an actress I believed that no one else could convey the pain I had experienced Being in films wasn’t just a dream; it was a necessity However, things didn’t go as planned during my childhood
Amina-Mo’nique, thank you so much for joining us today Your story is incredibly inspiring, and I’m sure it will motivate many of our readers. Let’s start from the beginning. Can you tell us a bit about your early life and background?
I was born and raised in the aul (village) of Kosh-Khabl in the North Caucasus, with Cherkessk as our capital This means I am of Cherkess descent, and Circassian is my native language
How did you eventually make the transition to pursuing your dreams?
I managed to leave home and move to Moscow at seventeen. In the city, I felt insecure, constrained, and intimidated, with my strong Cherkess accent. Those twelve years of abuse had stripped me of my sense of self.

The harsh upbringing and punishment made me live in fear, even in Moscow, far from the abuser. It took me a long time to cope with my trauma.
That must have been incredibly challenging. How did you discover your path in modeling and acting?
In 2011, after three years of searching, I stumbled upon an online ad for Fresh Models School, which promised to "remove your fears" and teach you to be confident in front of cameras.
The key phrase was "remove fears," so I urgently needed to go there. I borrowed money and, with no prior knowledge of fashion, acting, or dancing, I joined the modeling school Little did I know that my first acting class would determine my future career
What was your experience like in that acting class?
During our first acting class, we were asked to introduce ourselves and explain why we were there. As I was waiting for my turn, I experienced every stage of fear. When it finally was my turn, I was immediately interrupted by the instructor, who mockingly said, “And with such an accent, you want to be an actress? No one will work with you!” That humiliation in front of the group motivated me to become a model and actress
How did you progress from there?
My breakthrough in the modeling industry came with an unusual modeling competition where we had to perform up to ten different fashion poses and walks I was nervous about appearing in lingerie in front of many strangers My inspiration for preparing for this competition was the famous model Coco Rocha, who, despite being only a year older, had achieved so much Although I didn’t win first place, I received a photo shoot prize from renowned Moscow photographer Natalia Danina, which propelled my career forward.
That’s a significant achievement. How did your career continue from there?
During the competition, another talented photographer, Irina Neklyudova, whose work is used worldwide in modeling agencies, offered me a photo shoot This led to a job in the UK and appearances in three different magazines My career took off with daily castings, approvals, shoots, and shows both in Russia and abroad.
COLLECTION:
In 2017, I competed in a beauty pageant in Sicily, Italy, and was crowned Miss Mad Mood. The competition coincided with Milan Fashion Week, and I moved there to continue my fashion career
What were some of the highlights of your modeling career?
I worked on shoots and shows in ten countries, culminating in a magazine cover shoot in Monte Carlo Alongside my modeling career, I remained focused on my acting aspirations In 2015, I graduated from the Doors To Hollywood Acting Academy (DTHAA), where I studied under renowned professionals like Ned Bellamy, Al Sapienza, Steven Seagal, Ivana Chubbuck, and Paul Brown
How did your acting career evolve from there?
From 2015 to 2020, I acted in Russian films and series with well-known directors and actors, but my goal was always Hollywood After the pandemic, in 2023, I enrolled in a Russian acting school, the Kazbek Meretukov Actors’ Training Center, where I took a masterclass with producer Peter Valentino and completed an acting course called "Potential" by talented Russian-Hollywood acting coach Vasily Laoshi, based on leading global techniques (Lee Strasberg, Michael Chekhov, Meisner). Now, I am focused on landing leading roles!

“I love transforming the shape of the tank into something completely other-worldly and the look on people’s faces when they say, “That was a propane tank?!? ” I call my art form Orimetaru, like origami but instead of folding paper it’s folding metal. The tank is my square sheet of paper and it’s all I get to work with. I do little to no welding on my pieces It’s all drawn, cut by hand with a plasma cutter and bent into its new form It’s like drawing with a lightning pen I think my favorite is large scale outdoor scenes, wild alien plants and creatures you might run into on planet Pandora The Legendary Arms series is more about empowering the individual From creatures to universal elements to personal spiritual heraldry, I compose these things into a one of a kind power symbol that you can wear on your forearm and wield. It’s fashion and art that can protect its own value, and yours.”

is one of the largest art fairs in the region, held annually in Doha. As one of the richest and most prosperous countries in the world, Qatar offers exceptional opportunities for exhibiting and selling art. Each fall, art collectors, investors, heads of embassies, and notable figures from the fashion and art industries gather to attend the festival.
The Qa Festiva opport and sel g , g, promoting creativity on an international scale, and experiencing diverse cultures.
We had the exclusive opportunity to speak with Rashmi Agarwal, the Head and Founder of the festival, whose hard work and determination have inspired us for many years.
Rashmi, as the Founder and Head of the Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF), what inspired you to launch this remarkable project?
Thank you for the kind words! The inspiration behind QIAF stems from my lifelong passion for art and a deep desire to create a platform that fosters cultural exchange and promotes artists from around the globe. Qatar's unique position at the crossroads of diverse cultures made it an ideal location for such a festival. I envisioned QIAF as a vibrant space where various artistic expressions could converge, enabling meaningful dialogue between artists and audiences while celebrating creativity in all its forms Ultimately, my goal was to elevate Qatar's status in the global art scene, providing local artists with invaluable exposure and opportunities to connect with their international peers Through this festival, we aim to build a community, inspire future generations, and highlight the transformative power of art in bridging cultural divides
Can you describe the core concept behind QIAF?
The Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF) serves as a significant cultural event that celebrates and promotes artistic expression on an international scale The core concept revolves around bringing together artists, art lovers, and cultural enthusiasts from various backgrounds to engage in a diverse range of artistic activities, including visual arts, performances, fashion, conferences, workshops, and exhibitions Key elements of QIAF include:
Cultural Exchange: The festival provides a platform for artists from different countries to showcase their work, facilitating cross-cultural dialogue and understanding
Artistic Innovation: QIAF encourages experimentation and innovation in the arts, often featuring contemporary works that challenge traditional boundaries and engage with current global themes
Community Engagement: The festival aims to involve local communities by providing opportunities for participation, education, and interaction with artists and artworks
Support for Artists: We offer resources and support, including funding, mentorship, and exhibition opportunities, helping to foster talent and creativity
Overall, QIAF emphasizes the importance of art in enhancing cultural understanding, inspiring creativity, and building connections within the global art community
Why did you decide to focus on promoting both art and fashion?
Promoting both art and fashion at QIAF is a strategic choice that highlights the interconnectedness of these two creative fields. Here are several reasons why this dual focus is beneficial:
Cultural Expression: Both art and fashion serve as powerful forms of cultural expression By showcasing them together, the festival offers a more holistic view of contemporary Qatari and international culture
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Combining art and fashion encourages collaboration between artists and designers, leading to innovative projects and installations that enrich both disciplines.
Audience Engagement: Many attendees have interests that span both art and fashion. A festival that includes both can attract a broader audience and increase engagement among those who appreciate creative expression in multiple forms
Economic Development: Promoting both sectors can stimulate local economies, boosting the visibility of Qatari artists and designers and potentially leading to new opportunities and businesses
Global Perspective: Fashion is a global phenomenon, and incorporating it into the festival creates a platform for dialogue among international participants, fostering a deeper understanding of different cultural aesthetics
Innovative Programming: The integration of art and fashion can lead to unique programming, such as fashion shows within art exhibitions, creating memorable experiences that stand out
By focusing on both domains, QIAF enhances its impact, celebrates diversity, and fosters a deeper appreciation for creative expression in all its forms
When did you first discover your passion for art and culture?
I first discovered my passion for art and culture as a child, around age six, on a rainy afternoon while exploring my grandmother's attic I stumbled upon an old, dust-covered book filled with vivid illustrations and stories from distant lands Each page transported me into a kaleidoscope of colors, textures, and emotions, igniting a spark within me that felt both exhilarating and comforting I was captivated by the intricate dance of brushstrokes and the soulful expressions of sculpted figures That moment became a turning point in my life, awakening my understanding of how art reflects our humanity and shapes our shared experiences From then on, I immersed myself in the vibrant world of art, where each piece became a window into different cultures, histories, and dreams, inspiring my desire to create and connect through artistic expression
In addition to QIAF, what other cultural projects are you involved in?
Currently, I am engaged in several exciting projects. One major initiative is a Space Science Program in collaboration with globally renowned scientists, focusing on exchange programs and hands-on experiences for both youth and elders. Additionally, I’m involved in a project centered around the oil and gas industry, which explores the intersection of art and energy, alongside various dynamic youth events.

THE PAGEANT WITH A NEW CONCEPT
Miami
Beauty Queen
THE FOUNDERS OF MIAMI BEAUTY QUEEN PAGEANTSVETLANA TSYB AND ANNA SUSHCHENKO WITH THEIR TITLEHOLDERS
This summer, ART E$TATE had the privilege of covering one of Miami's most fashionable events the Supermodel Miami 2024 beauty contest, held on July 21st at Villa Azur. As someone with multiple beauty titles, I understand the dynamic and creative nature of this industry, along with its unique charm and artistic flair That’s why we ’ re excited to welcome the founders of Miami Beauty Queen and the contest organizers, Svetlana Tsyb and Anna Sushchenko, for this conversation
Ladies, could you tell us a bit about the concept behind your pageant? What inspired you to organize it, and why in Miami?
Svetlana: We have been organizing beauty pageants for many years and have extensive experience with both regional and large international contests
Originally from Ukraine, we organized numerous events there, with "Supermodel of Ukraine" being one of the most popular. Additionally, we have co-organized international pageants in Turkey, Dubai, and Egypt
Currently, we are the official representatives for the contests "Mrs Europe," "Mrs Universe," and "Woman of the Universe," allowing us to send contestants to these prestigious international events, which rank among the Top 8 beauty contests in the world When we arrived in the United States, our first thought was to hold a beauty pageant here We began searching for partners and sponsors, and once we secured them, we started organizing the contests
I take it this isn’t the first beauty pageant you ’ ve organized?
Anna: Yes, this is the third pageant we are hosting in Miami. The first and main event was Miami Beauty Queen, which took place in May this year. This is the flagship of our pageants, and our Instagram page is also called @miamibeautyqueen
Anna: The second contest was called Miss Bikini, and we held it during Miami Swim Week. For this third contest, Daria, you were invited and had the chance to see everything for yourself!
Yes, and it was very interesting! How are the winners of the competition determined at your pageant?
Anna: You know, I have a favorite saying: "I do not envy the judges!" Every time I look at the contestants, especially in the Mrs. category, it feels like a beautiful flower garden, and I realize how difficult it will be for our jury to choose the winners!
Svetlana: Exactly! We prepare our contestants thoroughly for the competition by holding master classes on runway techniques, photo posing, psychology, acting, fittings, and rehearsals For each contest, we invite top makeup artists and stylists to ensure our contestants look their best that evening!
So, how do you choose the most beautiful?
Svetlana: Having been present at the jury voting many times, I’ve come to understand that beauty is subjective For each judge, the winner may differ
We have only professional judges titled beauties or individuals well-versed in beauty standards and experienced in judging competitions. However, every vote can spark a debate, and it’s rare for the winner to be chosen unanimously.
Anna: I believe that often the winner isn't just the most physically beautiful contestant but rather the one who exudes self-confidence, grace, and poise It's about good presentation, showcasing acting and choreography skills, and connecting with the jury through a smile, or a wink!
Thank you for sharing! I have one more question how do the contestants interact during the preparation period? I imagine everyone has heard about the idea of "sabotaging" competitors.
Anna: To be honest, Daria, we have a very warm and supportive atmosphere during the preparation for the contests! Many girls continue to communicate and become friends even after the competitions, and we really encourage this positive camaraderie I’d rather not focus on the notion of "sabotage"
That’s great to hear! Is there a continuation after your beauty contests? What happens once the contest is over?
SVETLANA TSYB, CO-FOUNDER
MIAMI BEAUTY QUEEN
Svetlana: There’s a term called "pageant career," which refers to girls who travel to various beauty contests Typically, after one contest, a contestant receives an invitation to compete at a higher level moving from local to regional, then national, and eventually international!
Have your contestants moved on to national or international contests?
Anna: Yes, absolutely! Our participant Valeria Krepel competed in Mrs Globe Official in Palm Springs Maria Yatchenko-Matyukha, Elina Lyubimova, and Lilia Chernodarova represented Florida and California at the international Ms World 2024 competition And our biggest achievement is Tatiana Didenko, who became Miss World USA after participating in her very first Miami Beauty Queen contest! We are incredibly proud of her; it’s a significant success and a remarkable breakthrough, especially considering we ’ ve only been organizing beauty pageants for four months!
What upcoming beauty contests should we expect? Are you working on anything new?
Anna: Yes, I’ll share a little bit, though it’s still confidential information We are planning an international pageant in November and are currently looking at dates for the Beauty Queen USA National pageant, so stay tuned for announcements!
Additionally, we are in the process of preparing a beauty pageant in collaboration with the famous Black Tape Project.
It sounds like you have a lot of exciting plans ahead! I wish you all the creative success and hope your winners will represent Miami at both national and international pageants!
