is an internationally recognized blue-chip artist, fine-art curator, awarded entrepreneur, and highly respected philanthropist. In recognition of his direct support to humanitarian causes, having directly assisted in raising over two million dollars for non-profit aid in the United States and Asia, Winn was honored the prestigious title of “Sir” when knighted in 2018 under the Princely House of SchaumburgLippe-Nachod – one of only five recipients of the title in the history of the royal family. As a child refugee to the United States from Vietnam, Winn excelled in academics while at the same time supporting his younger sibling, allowing his parents to earn a living. He went on to study medicine; but during his study of reconstructive surgery at UCI medical school, he broke from family expectations and set out to pursue a life in the world of art.
He went on to work with a number of artists, elevating them to blue-chip museum caliber, in addition to developing his own artistic philosophy, "Existential Surrealism." Winn’s work has since been featured at esteemed exhibitions worldwide. Among many other distinctions, he is the Board Chairman of The Academy of Fine Art Foundation, CEO and curator of Masterpiece Publishing, Inc , and Founder of Winn Slavin Fine Art, one of the most prestigious art galleries in Beverly Hills. In 2019, the NEST Foundation in Hollywood also awarded Daniel Winn the “Philanthropic Artist of the Year.”
In this exclusive interview, we talked to Sir Daniel about his recent achievements in both the fine art and film industries.

Sir Daniel, you are very active in your creative life. What new achievements did last year bring to you as an artist and to your gallery, Winn Slavin Fine Art?
In 2023, there were many achievements The one that I am most proud of is the collaboration and endorsement on the part of JPMorgan Chase Bank, their Private Banking Division Chase is the largest bank in the world, and to have their endorsement is a substantial accomplishment They held a private event at our Beverly Hills gallery where I was asked to talk about my work and share my philosophy. In addition, was asked to advise their top clientele on how to collect art. It was a real honor to be recognized. Their acknowledgment of my work and their desire for their clients to take advantage of the opportunity of collecting my work is truly humbling.
That’s amazing! Let me ask about the Asian World Film Festival that took place in November of last year. What contribution did you make there as an artist?
We have been supporting the Asian World Film Festival for the last four years, raising funds and contributing in various capacities - and in 2024 I’m looking forward to collaborating with them for their 10-year anniversary of the festival. It’s been very informative to learn much of the film industry, and I am excited to merge my knowledge and experience in the fine arts with cinematic art
When I was visiting your “Indochine Impressions” exhibition last year, I was really impressed by the new pieces you created. Could you please tell us more about their concept?
The title of this series is “Ectropy,” which represents “chaos to order.” I’m working on the “Entropy” series as well, which represents “order to chaos” Respectively, they are the prequel and sequel to my film “Creation” There is a line in the “Creation” which says, “Creation begins where destruction ends” So, destruction is chaos, and creation is order The prequel to “Creation,” which is called “Ectropy: From Chaos to Order,” is based on a mathematical concept “Ectropy” serves as a visual overture, providing viewers with a glimpse into my artistic universe The film delves into the explosive genesis of the universe, using breathtaking visuals and metaphors to convey the birth of creativity from cosmic disorder. It was directed by Jordan Schulz, and written by Sсhulz and Andrew Crème. The last in the trilogy will be “Entropy,” which we’ll be shooting in 2025. These three shorts, this trilogy, “Ectropy,” “Creation,” and “Entropy,” form the basis of what will eventually be a feature-length film entitled “Creation,” which is set for release in 2026 These films constitute my way of expressing my artistic philosophy of Existential Surrealism And completely aside from the “Creation” films, we are working on a biopic about my life
Who will be acting as you in the biopic? Henry Golding?
Henry Golding is being considered But it really depends on the casting director I can’t say whom they will choose But I do know that they want a well-recognized actor
I’m so excited about this movie! I’d love to know more about your Existential Surrealism philosophy and what role energy plays in it.
I believe that energy is everything My viewpoint on this is that everything on Earth, as well as in the Universe, is composed of this pure energy. My philosophy of Existential Surrealism helps to answer questions like “What is the purpose of us being here?” and “What is the meaning of life?” Our energy here and now is part of our organic shell. But what happens when this shell eventually turns to dust? I believe that this pure energy, often referred to as the spirit or soul, is beyond our full comprehension I think the Universe is infinite Science can only explain the physical universe that we can see and feelI have expressed my philosophy of Existential Surrealism visually through the fine arts and now cinematic art
My Existential Surrealism Series is a metaphysical exploration which unfolds into three parts: Ectropy, Creation, and Entropy The trio also metaphorically represent the core stages of creation that delves into philosophy, religion, science, mathematics, and spirituality
Speaking of energy, how do you find the energy to do as much as you’re doing? What’s your secret?
The idea of manifestation, positivity and faith, is nothing new. For me, it’s all the same. It has to do with who you are and how you are manifesting things to happen - how you channel this energy for yourself If you think about something enough, or if you pray enough, things really do happen You’ve probably heard abo where you want the yourself To be able yourself You need dreams to become a
You are an inspiration! And now for my last question, what plans do you have for the future of Winn Slavin Fine Art?
I am blessed to be one of the artists in our prestigious gallery on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills I had manifested this for years and am fortunate that this dream has become a reality I’d like for visitors from all over the world to enjoy the gallery’s art collection, including my artworks with the hope that I’m able to share my innermost visions with everyone.
Thank you so much for this inspiring conversation!

DARIA RUSAKOVA
is an American entrepreneur, fine art dealer, and philanthropist. As a premiere provider of international fine art, with galleries established in such locations as Shanghai, Vietnam, and Beverly Hills, Slavin is the proprietor of Winn Slavin Fine Art. Slavin’s entrance into the art world began in 1997 when he founded Masterpiece Publishing, the company’s purpose being to connect esteemed collectors with quality artwork while at the same protecting and enhancing the reputations of his artists.
He’s since become the director of the Academy of Fine Art Foundation, a non-profit formed to raise awareness and educate in the area of fine art and to promote philanthropic activities; the publisher of Art Confidential, a luxury lifestyle publication dedicated to the fine-art culture; and the CEO of WS Productions, for which he executive produced the cinematic short “Creation” and is currently in pre-production on its feature-length version.
PHOTO CREDIT: RAY KACHATORIANMr. Slavin, congratulations on the recent achievements of Winn Slavin Fine Art! Please tell us in a few words about your collaborations with the movie industry.
In 2020, Winn Slavin Fine Art began supporting the Asian World Film Festival in their efforts to recognize and acknowledge the work of young filmmakers overseas. In that collaboration, I realized the similarities between fine art and the cinematic arts. Although the medium is different, and the filmmaking process is much more collaborative, the goal is the same: to communicate something of significance
As a result of that realization, I began to explore the intersection of art and film, examining artists who use film as a medium, filmmakers who make arthouse films, and biopics about artists' lives
Film artworks (artworks created in the medium of film) aren't mainstream It's a niche field Most people outside the art world don't typically think of film artwork as art in the same vein as more traditional media of painting and sculpture
Arthouse films (films explicitly created as a form of art) are also a niche, appreciated primarily by cinephiles and others with an intense interest in film Biopics about artists are the most commercially successful, attracting big budgets and well-known actors. A list of the Top 15 Films about Famous Artists hosted on IMDb includes actors such as Salma Hayek, Ed Harris, Kirk Douglas, Anthony Hopkins, Charlton Heston, John Malkovich, Andy Garcia, Donald Sutherland, and many other well-known actors Predictably, all 15 of the listed films are about artists who died decades or centuries before the film was made
You just wrapped filming the "Ectropy" short film, which you executive produced Can you tell us a bit about it as well as the gallery's goal in this project?
"Ectropy: Chaos to Order" is the second short film I've executive produced It was directed by Jordan Schulz, and written by Schulz and Andrew Crème It's a prequel to "Creation," which was the first The final installment of the trilogy, "Entropy: Order to Chaos," is slated for 2025 as a sequel to "Creation"
All three films examine the "Existential Surrealism" [philosophy] of artist Sir Daniel Winn. The goal of the trilogy is to present rather esoteric concepts and philosophies in a form that will contribute to the viewer's understanding. In that respect, they really are Winn working in an alternate medium rather than an attempt to make films about Winn's artwork
How can the movie industry help to promote fine art?
Our efforts aren't as much on using film to promote fine art as exploring film as an alternate medium and expression of the artist's philosophy However, films, particularly biographical films about artists, can contribute to an artist's visibility and potentially the demand for the artist's work As an artist's work is exposed to a broader audience, the number of people attracted to it will increase, especially if the audience understands the artist's background and philosophy through that exposure
How can the film industry be influenced by contemporary art?
No art form exists in a vacuum All the arts simultaneously influence and are influenced by contemporary culture, which means they also influence each other Film, however, is the art form that most intersects with other art forms, including the fine arts, performance arts, and literary arts It's also the most popular art form, reaching more people As such, it can potentially expand the public understanding and appreciation of all the arts
Are you planning to do similar projects in the future?
In addition to the third short film in the "Creation" trilogy, we're in development on a feature-length movie encompassing and expanding on the story told in the trilogy I expect that project to begin production as early as 2026 I'm also developing a biopic, "Scarcity," about Sir Daniel Winn's life, with a very talented team of experienced film professionals Understanding Winn's journey from a child refugee during the war in Vietnam to his success as a contemporary artist and curator contributes to a deeper understanding of his artistic philosophy. It's an inspiring story full of hope and vision. That will likely begin production later this year or early next year, with a planned release in late 2025.
In what film festivals are you planning to participate with the short films?
The first short film, "Creation,” was officially selected to 15 film festivals and won four awards for best short film and best cinematography. I'm proud of those accolades, especially because it was an unscripted first effort and an experimental film shot guerilla style.
RANDALL J. SLAVIN PHOTO CREDIT: RAY KACHATORIAN"Ectropy" has been much more thought out, scripted, and planned We will submit the film strategically to festivals, including Oscar-qualifying ones
Are you planning to produce any full-length films?
I'm not a producer, but rather an executive producer The difference is that producers are the people who oversee and coordinate the business of making a film In contrast, executive producers are the people who bring the various talents together and arrange the financing Beyond the "Creation" feature-length film and the "Scarcity" biopic, I don't have any specific plans for future films I've got enough on my plate!
What characteristics are more important for you in the artwork, technique or the concept?
The message an artist communicates through his work is the most essential and important quality. The technical aspects of composition and technique are also important, but the drive and ability to convey a cohesive and significant message is the rarer skill
What artists are you featuring now in Winn Slavin Fine Art?
We have a stable of artists we've worked with for years, including Sir Daniel Winn, Jamie Pettis and Ira Reines, but we're also developing new talent, including Dinh Ngoc Thang and TNT
Can you tell us about any upcoming exhibitions and events the gallery is putting on?
Keeping to the topic of film, we'll be premiering "Ectropy" in several venues in November of this year, including a planned showing of both "Ectropy" and "Creation" for 600 invited guests at the Director's Guild of America theatre in Hollywood It will be preceded by a very exclusive VIP exhibition of Sir Daniel Winn's new Ectropy collection The collection was created during the short film's development and mirrors its message
Thank you very much for this conversation! INTERVIEW BY:
is the celebrity photographer, who has been living and working in Hollywood, California, for 37 years. His work was published in such magazines as Vogue Manhattan, Hollywood Reporter, Playboy, and many others. Peter shot famous actors as Robert de Niro, Drew Carey, Carre Otis, celebrities as Rihanna, Jackie Guerrido, Taylor Dayne, Mohamed Hadid, and supermodels as Cindy Crawford and Tyra Banks. He has been working with Playboy Talent Agency, and even discovered Holly Madison.
Peter Baratti is also an outstanding photo artist of our times with a unique concept of his work. His photo art was exhibited in the galleries of Los Angeles, and forms part of numerous private collections. Now Peter lives in Miami Beach, Florida, discovering new faces and keeping shooting the celebrities.
In this exclusive interview we talked about Peter’s career in Hollywood, his work with Playboy and Hugh Heffner, the statement of his photo art, and the standards of beauty.
Peter, I have been always wondering: How does it feel to be a Hollywood celebrity?
Well, it feels good to be recognized, to be in public eye, and to work with rich and famous And I think that every photographer dreams about working with movie stars, super models, or popular and famous people in general For me, it was not my goal, but living in Hollywood, as things happen, you meet people, cross paths with the celebrities, and once you are known for photographing one, they recommend you to others
Thank y photogr Hollywo manage
I was a NYC fashion photographer But I did’t want to remain just a studio photographer, and in New York you are basically in studio 24/7. I just wanted to work more outdoors, using the natural lights and different locations, not so much the backgrounds. So I moved to California. The funny thing is that I had a portfolio of a high fashion photographer - dark, NY style, and California was all about swimsuits, blond, sundrained and sexy models So I was having a really hard time there, lacking a job
As I told, if you managed to impress one celebrity, they would connect you to other celebrities You go from one to another, and then to another That’s how the steps work in Hollywood It is exactly who you know And once you know them, then you are starting getting know others. Your work becomes more published and your name gets around. There is always a risk in Hollywood to remain a headshots photographer, but since I had a high fashion background, my work was very diversefrom shooting head-shots to high fashion, to fashion, to Playboy types staff
Wow! That is a part in which I am really interested! Could you tell us about Hugh Hefner and his mansion?
There was a talent agency at Playboy Agency run by friend of mine, that hired me to do the photos of the playmates after they became playmates Most of them, after they got a title of playmates, would be at the shows on TV, go to movies, singing, acting, etc. So the Playboy Talent Agency hired me to shoot the playmates after the fact That took my path towards Hugh Hefner, who became a very good friend of mine I sent a lot of models who were a Playboy material to Hugh
My friendship with him developed Then I discovered Holly Madison, who went to Playboy as a playmate, but never became a playmate - she became basically the star of Playboy, and eventually became Hugh Hefner’s living girlfriend. Since then our relationships with Hugh were a lot closer So, my association with Playboy was basically that.
theof a
whole Playboy empire Especially the Midsummer Night Party, which was the party that everybody wanted to be invited to, and it was definitely hard to get there. Celebrities were on the list, and Hugh would pick and choose who would be at the party, and who wouldn’t. My name was always in the guest list.
During our last conversation you mentioned, that Hollywood has changed a lot. What did you mean?
Yes, the movie industry and the culture of going to cinema halls has changed a lot after Covid, which affected Hollywood in general A lot of people from the industry have moved, mostly to Miami Beach, Florida After living in Los Angeles for 37 years, I felt that my personal life was stagnated. I was travelling a lot, trying to find the perfect place for living, and finally I chose Miami. The standard of living is great here, especially for a photographer. Miami has a good light, and you can be shooting way after sunset, which is impossible in Los Angeles
Besides, I think Miami will become a new destination for creative industries We have Art Basel here, Swim Week, F1, and music festivals Many celebrities, including Messi, Shakira and David Beckham, brought a lot attention to this city
True! And now we also have you in Miami, which is really cool! Let’s talk a little bit about the concept of your work. For me, as an art curator, you are doing not only photography, but art as well. I would define your work as photo art…
I am by trade a fashion photographer, but I don’t want to say that as my title, because I, myself, am not a fashion kind of guy.
I combine sensuality with innocence, with all kind of other things to tell a story When you look at my photos, they just don’t show you dark shadows, pissed-off looking models, or anything like that, as you see in Vogue or Elle My work is a little brighter, maybe it was an influence that California and working with actors made on me
I combine high fashion with sexy, with fun, so when you look at my photos, you can’t really say: Oh, that guy is a fashion photographer, or commercial photographer. I just photograph with desire, with passion. I shot Rihanna, and a lot of other celebrities. Actually, my main clientele is still in LA. So when they call, I’m on the plane to go back and work with them. And I’m also involved with other staff related to my photography I have judged modelling conventions and pageants
Of course! You are a photographer, and you have a perfect understanding of what beauty is… By the way, what are your beauty standards?
Well, the Eastern European women have become a perfect form of models. That Slavic look has captured the imagination of photographers around the world. In my opinion, their looks are just so unique, that sometimes I think they were just born to be models
Actually, a perfect model could appear in every part of the world The physical uniqueness is not everything - the personality, the inner world of a model is very important, too
Sure I think now the models are not like they were before, and the definition of a model is becoming more and more pop The women on your photos are looking classy and natural But nowadays there are too much plastic surgery and fakeness. Well, It’s my personal opinion… The question is: Would you prefer a natural beauty, or a woman with ideal but artificial appearance?
There is a very firm rule in fashion business, in magazine business The models that agencies approve to be real models, we are not talking about influencers or Internet models, have certain standards
If you magaz very s plasti very vivid and very apparent.
People who are looking for real models, they go to agencies But as the rates of those models are really high, these days people sometimes turn to Instagram
Right Peter, what are your future creative plans?
I have an upcoming project - a Fashion Week in Hawaii It is going to be a huge fashion event, and I will definitely come back with fresh tropical pictures
If an aspiring photographer who wants to make a career in Hollywood approaches you and asks for advice, what tips would you give them?
It is an interesting question, because people always expect to hear the answer to the question: What equipment to buy? What camera to buy? What lens to buy? But the equipment is not going to make you a photographer The basic way of becoming a photographer is how to see the light Because without the light there is no photo The light creates the shape, the final image
You don’t need eyes to see, you need vision. You don’t need your cameras to photograph, you need your brain first to see it, and then the camera it’s just a tool to record it So, if you can visualize it, you can photograph it No imagination - no result
That makes sense! You mentioned that your concept is storytelling. What is the most interesting story that you would like to share?
It’s not just a one story, it’s many stories Famous people that are actually in the movies, when they are coming to a photographer’s studio, they are almost powerless
It’s not something they do every day When they are in front of the movie camera, and when they have their lines ready, they know what they are doing When they are in front of a photo camera, they are almost taken out of their comfort zone They know they look good in movies, but now they have to look good on that one picture. So now they are really depend on a photographer, to make them look good. So, with those people you actually have a better report in a photo studio, than a camera man on a set with the actors. It is actually a very interesting dynamic that I noticed between famous actors and photographers And that puts a lot of pressure on you, because you have to prove your talent making those pictures The actors are not used to see themselves on the 3-dimensional photos, and it is hard for them to accept certain angles But when you see the smiles on their faces, you know that you got them, and it is the biggest compliment to get from somebody you admire
That’s really amazing! I think we don’t really know the personalities of the actors - we see them in the movies, and we are familiar with their characters But we still don’t know who they truly are It is a photographer who reveals their personalities
Right. And they are more themselves at the photographer’s studio than on a set.
Peter, are you shooting only celebrities, or are you also looking for fresh faces?
I love fresh faces. One of my biggest interests is to find new faces It’s like I can put my stamp on it: I found this person, I discovered them Actually, a lot of models that I discovered have become supermodels

After graduating she began producing and acting in original Sci Fi short films.
These award-winning productions have received accolades such as the Leo Awards and some of the Top Tier Film Festivals throughout the world. This success led her to move to Los Angeles in 2018.
In 2019, Kiana developed an interest in pottery and sculpture. She has since showcased her work and sold over a dozen pieces

CHRIS: It started from pursuing my interests in filmmaking and effects many years ago in Vancouver, Canada I founded my own visual effects and animation studio which I ran for 9 years with a staff of 40 From there I got to experience working with some of the major studios, when eventually Dreamworks came calling I received an offer to move to LA to work with them directly. But outside of my day to day, I have always been heavily involved with my own independent filmmaking. The projects I had created got a lot of notoriety that helped catch the eye of Dreamworks and now Sony Pictures
KIANA: I had always been inspired by the work Chris was doing, so I was eager to help when he needed a producer and actress for his independent film projects But aside from that, I decided to pursue my own artistic endeavors in the realm of sculpture Whatever interesting, fun, creative thing that popped into my head, I had to make it, regardless of what others thought. But thankfully people really responded to my creations. I do my work at the LA based "BERMAN POTTERY STUDIO" which is the premiere ceramics studio in the city. The artists who work there are extremely accomplished and have been professionals for over 20 years Seeing how well they have embraced my work is very encouraging!
How did you know each other?
KIANA: We met at Ceili's Irish Pub, in Vancouver Canada, and since then we started our artistic and love journey together.
What prompted you to move to Hollywood, and to start out there?
CHRIS: When I was approached by Dreamworks, I had to put a lot of thought into whether or not I wanted to take this next step. This is because we were doing quite well in Vancouver at the time.
In 2023 Chris Browne created his legendary short film ‘Pleroma’a thriller about a corporation led by machines who turn on its human workers. The humans’ only hope is a discarded prototype built by an amateur.
CHRIS: I was head of one of Canada's largest production studios overseeing a staff of 500 artists So it was a lot to give up, a lot to risk leaving that all behind
KIANA: I knew that Dreamworks really appreciated not only what Chris could do running a studio but also the fact that they were so interested in his independent filmmaking They really wanted his cinematic eye most of all
CHRIS: Plus we wanted to take our independent film projects to the next level and LA is the place to do it.
It definitely is! We know that the short film of Chris, ‘Pleroma’, was very successful. What is its concept?
CHRIS: It is about a Robotics Corporation whose CEO is an artificial super intelligence. The human workers simply carry out its orders worshiping it like it's a god. When the machines turn on its human workers it's up to a discarded prototype robot to step up and save the day
What was Kiana’s contribution to ‘Pleroma’?
CHRIS: Kiana plays the starring role in the film
KIANA: Well the robot is the star, I was the supporting actress
CHRIS: You were the leading lady... and the producer, let's not forget.
KIANA: I haven't.
What awards did ‘Pleroma’ win?
CHRIS: It has won many awards in the international film festival market spanning North America and Europe, but most recently it won a LEO award (considered the Canadian Oscar's) for best Visual Effects
KIANA: Chris did all 200 visual effects shots himself from start to finish! And the competition for his LEO was against a production that had over 40 visual effects artists and two studios involved
CHRIS: Yes, and I also did all of the camera work and editing for the film in addition to the Visual Effects
KIANA: You must have had a very strong Producer backing you up to have handled all that!
CHRIS: The goal is to make the Feature Film adaptation of Pleroma with a major studio, as well as continue developing many other projects we have in the works! And of course keep creating great work for Sony Pictures!
KIANA: Keep making films with Chris, and creating beautiful sculptures that people can enjoy in their homes, galleries, and gardens!

‘This is an original form of digital art. The algorithm I used to create for these images is new, and produces a fresh and modern aesthetic.
All these photos were processed with a special application I designed and programmed. The technique used is called ASCII art, but with the help of new code libraries I took it to the next level. The resulting images are more pictorial than previous text art works.
I forgot a long time ago that I am a programmer who learnt how to make art, or an artist who learnt how to code. In a way, I do exactly what many other artists do - copy from reality. But I designed my own brush: I created the process to express myself.
This allows me to address, from an interdisciplinary perspective that includes literature and photography, the intersection between imitation and representation. In essence, I explore sensorial perception in a game of seduction and distances, in which the spectator should step away to recover the closeness to the images.

Music and painting are connected When I paint, I often listen to music It tends to depict my flow, color schemes, and paint strokes. It’s all very spontaneous and freeing In addition, when I hear music, I see color Color is a huge representation of my work in that it portrays my feelings and emotions. I feel and sense it, and it effortlessly flows through me enabling me to create on a very pure and raw level It is my truth Everything makes sense when I connect music and painting.
My creations for this upcoming exhibition will all still remain in my style of abstract realism using mixed media on canvas. Within this, my viewers will continue to see numerous layers of texture giving my work somewhat of a sculpture like feel. In this, the viewer will see a sense of certain chaos turned to beauty. There will be numerous portraits of various music legends in this style along with portraits of nameless women that will ultimately depict myself. The show will be called “Perspective,” which launches July 20th at Winn Slavin Fine Art”

Peter Polyak’s journey into the world of fine art began at the age of 12, with his initial forays into classical art studies and graphic design. This early immersion laid the groundwork for what would become a dynamic and evolving career in art. His early talent and passion for art were apparent, setting the stage for further studies and professional achievements.
In college, Peter's focus shifted to fine art painting, where he had the privilege of learning from Laszlo Patay, a revered Hungarian figurative mural master Patay's mentorship was instrumental in shaping Peter's artistic direction Recognizing Peter's potential, Patay invited him to contribute to painting new seccos in three different churches - a significant and rare opportunity for a young artist. This experience not only honed Peter's technical skills but also deepened his appreciation for large-scale mural work and classical techniques.
During his college years, another pivotal figure in Peter's artistic development was the Italian master painter Matteo Massagrande. Their encounters were enlightening and transformative Massagrande's willingness to answer Peter's questions and guide him during the summer art camps in Hajos, Hungary, provided Peter with invaluable insights and techniques These sessions with Massagrande allowed Peter to refine his craft and broaden his artistic horizons.
Peter's growing reputation led to several prestigious exhibitions in Budapest, organized by Lula Szasz, the widow of the internationally acclaimed HungarianAmerican artist Endre Szasz These exhibitions were crucial in establishing Peter’s prominence in the Hungarian art scene and further afield.
In 2007, seeking new challenges and inspirations, Peter relocated to Florida It was here that he encountered Dru Blair, an extraordinary photorealist airbrush master Peter attended various workshops at Blair's school, where his exceptional talent quickly became evident. Blair was so impressed by Peter's skills that he invited him to teach at the school occasionally - a significant endorsement of Peter's mastery and innovative approach. Despite having many of his questions answered through these experiences, Peter continued to explore and evolve his artistic practice
His studies in photorealism and airbrush painting enriched his technique, enabling him to blend various tools and methods in a way that felt intuitively right for each painting. This approach allowed him to create works that are not only technically proficient but also deeply expressive and unique
Peter Polyak's artistic journey is a testament to the power of mentorship, continual learning, and the courage to innovate. His work today reflects a blend of classical training and contemporary techniques, creating a distinctive style that captivates and inspires
As a fine art painter, his canvases are narratives of his growth, his mentors, and his relentless pursuit of artistic excellence. Peter’s story is a reminder that the path to mastery in art is ever-evolving, enriched by the wisdom of mentors and the artist’s own creative exploration.

It’s funny, in this world
You knock once in the door And the answer you heard Was always a “No”…
But you’ve learnt - it’s okay And you now say “Hello”
As you know - it’s condition That opens the door.

Maquiamelo - the renowned Colombian artist delves into the kawaii trend and successfully captures the essence of this Asian movement
At the beginning of the millennium, Maquiamelo surprised the Latin contemporary art scene with his subcultural sculptures of shrunken heads and pop culture icons During the pandemic, he embarked on an artistic reinvention inspired by the growing phenomenon of anime and manga in the West. His constant consumption and exposure to media and platforms with these styles led him to explore kawaii - a trend that started as a simple aesthetic in post-war Japan and eventually transcended into other subcultural spheres of major cities, later becoming a part of Japanese culture and identity.
Within this framework, Maquiamelo connects with the cuteness and innocence that are the core characteristics of this movement. He brings to life characters with expressive eyes and whimsical looks or hairstyles that, once again as in his origins with the shrunken heads seem to allude to various urban tribes.
‘SOLSTICE’ OIL & COLLAGE ON CANVAS REPRESENTED BY COLOUR SENSES PROJECT @COLOURSENSES PROJECT
This time, however, one could say they belong to the streets of Tokyo, where androgyny and styles like post-punk and glam rock dominate kawaii culture This is evident in the large-format canvases he creates, featuring characters with elongated necks but without bodies, mouths, or noses. In them, spectators are challenged to connect with them solely through their eyes. Thanks to the collage technique, book covers and clippings with diverse symbols and signs, viewers find a vehicle to relate to their own personal story or elements of pop culture. In this sense, each character is distinguished from the other by careful details and symbolism, capturing the attention of admirers, art enthusiasts and connoisseurs.

A guest curator and a writer for the ART E$TATE Magazine, Irina Bogatikova has already displayed on our pages her experimental and innovative curatorial project ‘Material Vibe’, a review of the Art Basel Miami 2023, and today she talks about her collaboration with bluechip artist, AMOUR-1.
IRINA BOGATIKOVA is the Gallerist, Art Curator, Collector, Art Critic and Producer, Founder of the ART Q Club
AMOUR-1 (Artak Muradyan) - is a prominent sculptor and painter with the highest level of skill, a powerful temperamental character, a keen eye and a unique author's technique in the style of Neo-Expressionism.
As a sculptor, he molds and sculpts on canvas. Each of his works is a talentedly created performance, complex dramaturgy and an unconventional move
AMOUR-1 received an academic education at the St Petersburg Academy of Arts named after Repin and graduated from the Spanish Royal Academy His works were exhibited at Louvre, Art Basel Hong Kong, ArtExpo New York They also were displayed at a tour exhibition with the masterpieces by world-famous artists: Roy Lichtenstein, Wassily Kandinsky, Nick Veasey, Andy Warhol, Picasso, etc.
AMOUR-1 is a constant participant of the international art auctions. His works have a high investment potential and are displayed in the galleries of the U.S., Europe, UAE and Japan. According to the Bingyol’s Auction House, the predicted growth in prices for his works is 15% per year.
AMOUR-1 made his first plaster sculpture at the age of seven Even then, he began to see objects and people in volume, he only needed to learn how to recreate this volume
AMOUR-1 experiments and invents his own, thick, pastose style - melted relief forms in it are the border between reality and abstraction. Historical buildings become magical "boxes", old Italian "caskets" from the museums of Venice... Beauty is embodied powerfully and sincerely - it is not the form itself that delights, but its aesthetic "symphonic" variation, sonorous and musical, dynamic in its architectural image. In modern Neo-Expressionism, the variations (distortions) of lines and shapes, colors and textures are used to enhance expression Everything in the image can be varied Abstract fragments can also be included to reveal the image Neo-Expressionism by the artist AMOUR-1 is distinguished by a brutal, aggressive manner of execution.
“My paintings are a wild nightclub of colors, where the colors live a full life: having fun, kissing, communicating, hugging, dancing, loving each other.”
Each piece by AMOUR-1 has an idea, dramaturgy, and internal tension of the painting. The viewer immediately feels this expression and idea and is instantly drawn into the experience of living feelings and emotions
As the artist says himself: “If you stand in front of a work, and an art critic tries to explain something to you, it is not art. You don’t need instructions for art. A masterpiece is when you don’t need to explain anything. A work of art should drive you into ecstasy, fear, experience new sensations, delight and excite your imagination.”
“The idea itself, the concept of the painting, dictates the way of its depiction. Because copying the classics is boring, and copying yourself all the time is stupid.
My element is color, a keen perception of colors. I have always paid special attention to the surface of the paintings, so that they are rich and saturated in their pictorial texture
My work rests on two pillars: temperamental, juicy, colorbearing painting and the Russian school of drawing, with strict academic traditions I hope that this alloy will be precious and will outlive myself ” AMOUR-1
“ART IS EXPERIENCE” - THAT’S HOW I TALK ABOUT ART.
Talking about the work by AMOUR-1, it is always a vivid and deep experience.
I’ll let you in on a secret: AMOUR-1 and I are currently preparing a project in which the viewer will have to go through an extreme experience. The tension, the contrast between the technique and the meaning of what is painted will be maximum: the highest pictorial skill and a disgusting, terrible meaning.
“Not for the faint of heart” - I think we’ll make such a warning at the entrance to the exhibit!
IRINA BOGATIKOVAConcerning our collaboration, I am proud to represent a topclass Painter-Sculptor. As in any partnership, not only professional qualities are important, but also human ones. Reliability is crucial, especially in the creative environment, where it is a big rarity. A high degree of empathy, intelligence, courage, ambition, huge professional and human experience, dedication to the work of his life - all of those makes me respect and appreciate this person very much.
Artist AMOUR-1 can do everything: create paintings in any style (from Hyperrealism of the highest skill to bright dramatic Expressionism, going beyond the plane of the canvas with powerful brushstrokes, influxes, reliefs), refined emotional, incredibly aesthetic graphics, sculpture of small and large forms of bronze, marble, granite, any material, stained glass and frescoes.
There is nothing impossible in art for this Painter-Sculptor. He is not just a master immersed in his profession, but a virtuoso of the highest degree.
"I am Art" - this is how AMOUR-1 describes himself.
A person who is able to create so vividly, deeply experiencing plots, dramaturgy and bringing it to canvas with maximum expression and professionalism is a rarity. This is a great contribution to the art industry.
There are many directions in modern art. As an art critic and visionary, I study and analyze all types of art. I like conceptual art with its sometimes shocking ideas, as well as experimental projects. I am a “hunter” for new ideas, and I create new concepts myself.
But fine art, les beaux arts - Her Majesty Painting, executed with skill and virtuosity, will always delight and attract the viewer. And if we add to this skill an idea, internal tension, bright emotional performance, personal charisma of the artist, then we will get the masterpieces of contemporary art.

‘MOULIN ROUGE’ A FRAGMENT OF THE WORK BY AMOUR-1
Dressing is a special kind of art. It is difficult to imagine a modern wardrobe of a young beauty without such an element as a dress. The dresses designed by the ELSA FAIRY DRESSES brand are a whole new story of a girl's flourishing into an adult young woman: the dresses grow and change the design together with their fans.
The philosophy of the brand - Dressing In Happiness. If you want to create an exclusive outfit, or choose a ready-made bright dress for a special occasion - the ELSA FAIRY DRESSES range will definitely help.
The history of brand began relatively recently, in 2015, but each year of development is like a transition through several levels.
In 2015, the future chief designer and author of the brand Iryna Mykytiuk began to study the trends of children's special occasion and formal wear fashion.
Representing the Chernivtsi region of Ukraine, it was almost impossible to achieve this. After three years of cooperation with other companies and feeling the lack of development, Iryna Mykytiuk decided to create her own brand and registered the trademark ELSA FAIRY DRESSES, realizing her personal vision for children fashion.
The mission of ELSA FAIRY DRESSES is to embody happiness by creating a world of enchanting princesses and magical fairies. Each dress is a unique couture piece, crafted as wearable art.
Today, the ELSA FAIRY DRESSES brand offers three distinct lines of special occasion dresses for girls:
1.The Kids Couture collection is refreshed every 6 months, featuring luxurious dresses designed for fashion shows, pageants, and contests.
Each dress is tailored to the customer's individual measurements, incorporating unique designs and original concepts blending materials, colors, and textures.
2.The First Communion & Baptism collection presents a classic range ideal for significant events such as first communions or baptisms, including flower girl dresses suitable for any wedding style.
3. The Matching Dresses "Mommy & Me" collection is a rare and special line designed for birthday parties and photoshoots, offering coordinated outfits for mothers and daughters.
The official birthday of the ELSA FAIRY DRESSES brand is March 10, 2019, marked by the debut of its first 20 couture dresses at the Art Pier Area in Kyiv, Ukraine. Since then, the brand has actively participated in numerous fashion shows and received nominations for various awards.
Highlights include presenting the 2019 Collection at MP Fashion Week in Lviv and showcasing at Junior Fashion Week in Kyiv later that year. The brand continued to gain recognition with the presentation of its 2020 Collection at the Ukrainian Fashion Industry Awards in Kyiv, where it was nominated for Breakthrough of the Year
International acclaim followed with presentations at the International Tbilisi Kids Fashion Week in Georgia and the Ukrainian Fashion Kids festival in Kyiv in 2020. In 2021, ELSA FAIRY DRESSES featured prominently at Odessa Fashion Week.
Noteworthy achievements also include participating in Milan Fashion Week 2020 with their HAUTE COUTURE dress collection and serving as the face of the PR campaign for the 15th Anniversary Fashion Week in Odessa. The brand's excellence was further recognized by nominations for the National Prize 2020 by the All-Ukrainian Association of the Fashion Industry, specifically in the category of "Brand of the Year - Children's Clothing." ELSA FAIRY DRESSES received the prestigious Breakthrough of the Year Award for "Brand of the Year - Children's Clothing" in Ukraine in December 2020, solidifying its position as a leader in the industry.
