WELCOME
Welcome to the sixth edition of The Edit: Memphis Fashion Week Summer Edition. We’re so excited to share with you MFW ‘23, powered by Arrow Creative. Arrow provides a home for creative entrepreneurs to ensure that Memphis continues to be a city known for culture, creativity, and forwardthinking. It is an open resource for the community to feel engaged as lifelong arts enthusiasts. Having recently graduated from University of Memphis in Visual Merchandising and Exhibition Design, I know the importance of finding a creative community. I get to see first hand how Arrow inspires artists and customers alike.
As an organization that encourages local creative’s growth through business education, access to art equipment, retail opportunities, and studio spaces, we’re excited to bring to Memphis for the eleventh year, the Emerging Memphis Designer Project. This year’s shows will focus on our local talent that is blossoming in Memphis.
Over the past five months I’ve seen MFW’s emerging designer’s meet, discuss and plan with EMDP liaison Sonin Myatt. Their garments unfold from just an idea to a work of art. Their designs are unique and innovating. I look forward to seeing them come to life on the runway.
We want to thank our sponsors, designers, stylist, and models, without whom this event would not possible. We also want to thank YOU, our supporters who join us each year to celebrate fashion and the growth of the arts in our community.

Arrow Creative Memphis’ Creative Central
Arrow Creative, the parent non-profit of Memphis Fashion Week, is a resource for Memphis Creatives to create, shop, and learn. Located in the Cooper Young Historic District, one of the original creative districts in Memphis, Arrow is the premier source of creative entrepreneur enrichment, arts education, and art immersion for the entire community. We seek to make art accessible in order to inspire the creative spirit in all Memphians.
Arrow spun out of the momentum of Memphis Fashion Week and the Memphis Fashion Design Network, but we’re more than just fashion. Arrow is a multi-medium arts organization dedicated to promoting creativity of all kinds. The organization brings together Memphis designers, makers, photographers, fine artists, and creative entrepreneurs to form a one-roof creative district in the heart of Memphis.
“This kind of shared art making space makes so much sense. It’s something that Memphis needs.” says Arrow studio artist, Douglass Repetto of Mildly Happy. “To
have equipment that is setup and ready to go, to have people I can ask questions is really transformative as an artist. Finding Arrow has just been wonderful.”
Many makers in Memphis find themselves without the resources and space they need to create. Since the opening Arrow staff has worked to make the space a place for artists to grow as solo entrepreneurs in Memphis. Arrow provides to the art enthusiast as well as the creative entrepreneur, equipment, classes, work space, gallery exhibitions, creative studios, and a retail area to create a thriving center where art and business merge.
Since opening our forever home in September 2021, Arrow has filled our studios with designers, makers and artists, hosted summer camps for over 300 students, and provided over 80 artist a place to earn revenue as a creative business in the marketplace store.
