BANKER Q&A
FIVE VE minutes with...
Reggie Rose
Regional Community President Simmons Bank, Pine Bluff
Q. WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU’VE LEARNED OVER YOUR CAREER THAT YOU’VE CARRIED WITH YOU?
A.
We spend a lot of time talking about cultivating relationships and building our networks, etc. I like to take that a step farther, so I work very hard on cultivating and building relationships within our organization. Simmons Bank is full of talented individuals with a plethora of institutional and industry knowledge. I want to have incredibly strong relationships within the organization because those relationships and the
knowledge I glean from those individuals make me a better leader, a better banker and honestly a better person. One of our Cultural Cornerstones at Simmons Bank is “Better Together.” I believe in that.
Q. WHAT TRAIT DOES THE MODERN BANKER NEED TO HAVE TO BE SUCCESSFUL?
A.
Accessibility. No such thing as “bankers’ hours”. You must be willing and available whenever your customer needs you or the bank’s services.
“Communicate with your customers on a regular basis. It has never been easier to communicate than it is today. Phone calls should be returned and emails and texts should be replied to in a timely manner. If you are not being responsive to your customers, they will find a competitor of yours that is!”
