rvest Bank’s mortgage division has promoted Randy Magness to the position of regional mortgage loan manager. Magness has 11 years of industry experience, most recently serving as mortgage loan manager for Arvest in Fort Smith. In his new role, Magness is responsible for the ongoing development of sales and operational excellence for mortgage associates throughout Arvest’s four-state footprint. He will assist in recruiting efforts, conduct advanced sales training and work with local bank leadership on a variety of initiatives, among other duties. Magness will remain based in Fort Smith. “Randy really proved himself as a leader managing our team in Fort Smith and we look forward to him playing a larger role with this promotion,” said Shawn Karnes, executive director of mortgage sales and development for Arvest. “Randy understands how to help others succeed, which in turn, allows our associates to help more customers with their mortgage needs.” Arvest Bank has also promoted April Lafferty to the position of business banker II in Cabot. Lafferty has 14 years of industry experience and most recently served in a commercial lending-related role. In her new position, Lafferty will focus on small business lending, among other responsibilities, in Cabot and the surrounding areas. She earned an associate degree from Arkansas State University-Beebe and holds an American Bankers Association certificate in small business.

LAFFERTY HAS 14 YEARS OF INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE AND MOST RECENTLY SERVED IN A COMMERCIAL LENDING-RELATED ROLE. IN HER NEW POSITION, LAFFERTY WILL FOCUS ON SMALL BUSINESS LENDING, AMONG OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES, IN CABOT AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.

itizens Bank, headquartered in Batesville, has announced the promotion of Kathryn Pannell, who will be serving as senior vice president, director of treasury management. In this position, Pannell’s role will expand to include additional responsibilities. She will now manage the entire treasury management department, including both sales and servicing. Pannell reports to Anastasia Blaylock, Citizens Bank’s EVP, Chief Strategy Officer. “Simply put, Kathryn is a pro,” said Blaylock. “She has been an integral part of the success of treasury management at the bank and will no doubt lead the team to continued growth. Her knowledge of treasury and background in management make her the perfect fit for this position. I couldn’t be more excited to see her step into this role.” Pannell has been with Citizens Bank since 2019 and has quickly proven to be an integral addition to the team. “I have a true passion for treasury management and the solutions we offer our clients,” said Pannell. “I look forward to guiding our team as we continue to grow and add additional services. Through excellent customer service and management skills, we will be able to offer the most creative solutions for every challenge and opportunity that comes our way.”
