ARKANSAS STATE BANK DEPARTMENT PROMOTES 3, HIRES 4
The Arkansas State Bank Department has promoted three to Commissioned Bank Sr. Examiners and hired four new Bank Examiners.
Lance Black, Elliot Hartle, and Caleb Hamilton were promoted in August to their new roles.
Black earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Financial Economics from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2013, and a Juris Doctor Degree from University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law in 2016. Black has served the Arkansas State Bank Department in the Trust Examination Division since September 18, 2017.
Hartle earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from University of Central Arkansas in 2009. Hartle is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and has served the Arkansas State Bank Department in the Information Systems Examination Division since September 18, 2017.
Hamilton earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Services from Emporia State University in 2013, and a Master of Education from Rockhurst University in 2015. Hamilton has served the Arkansas State Bank Department at the Springdale Regional Office since November 16, 2020.
Shawn Smith, Paige Whitley, Tyler Lucas, and
Thomas Griggs were hired in late June as new bank examiners.
Smith earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Leadership, from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro in 2002. Smith has 18 years of work experience with the Arkansas Treasury. Smith will be working as a Commercial Examiner in the Little Rock office.
Whitley earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Spanish, from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in December 2021. Whitley has prior work experience at Southern Bancorp Bank. She will be working as a Commercial Examiner in the Little Rock office.
Lucas earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from University of Central Arkansas in Conway in 2018. He worked as a Teller/Senior Teller for Arvest Bank and worked at Bank OZK serving as an Assistant Branch Manager, Fraud Analyst and, as the VP Fraud Intelligence Manager. Lucas will be working as a Commercial Examiner in the Little Rock office.
Griggs earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Banking from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro in May 2022. Griggs has banking experience with Centennial Bank in Jonesboro and six years of military experience including serving as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Griggs will be working as a Commercial Examiner in the Jonesboro office.
Additionally, the Arkansas State Bank Department has hired Elizabeth Swaim as a Research Project Analyst. Swaim earned an Associates of Arts Degree in General Education from Arkansas State University Three Rivers in Malvern in 2007. She has prior work experience with both DHS and most recently with the Arkansas Insurance Department. Swaim will be working in the Administrative Division of the department’s Little Rock office.
