OTHER SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES AND PROJECTS 1. Attend State Young Farmers and Ranchers Leadership Conference. 2. Participate in Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement Award, Excellence in Agriculture Award and Discussion Meet. 3. Attend district or area training meetings (program kickoff, policy development, promotion, etc.). 4. Attend Officers’ and Leaders’ Conference. 5. Attend State Farm Bureau Annual Convention. 6. Sponsor, assist and participate in farm-city exchanges and other projects with urban groups. 7. Sponsor, assist or participate in Ag-in-the-Classroom activities in your county schools. 8. Write news articles for the local newspaper on Farm Bureau activities. 9. Serve on a Commodity Division Action Committee. 10. Assist in the promotion of agricultural commodities within the county, including such special promotion activities as Sew with Cotton, Miss Arkansas Rice, Dairy Recipe Contest, Egg, Pork or Beef Promotion. 11. Sponsor educational tours, farm tours or visits to outstanding farms in your county for local school students. 12. Encourage high school students to attend National Leadership Forum and Farm Bureau Teen Challenge Week. 13. Establish and sponsor a county per-acre yield contest for 4-H and FFA students in rice, cotton, soybeans, wheat, hay, etc., or give a gain ability award for poultry and beef. 14. Sponsor 4-H and FFA cookout contests in the county. 15. Sponsor 4-H, FFA and Farm Bureau acquaintance and orientation programs. 16. Sponsor county or district market forum programs. Assistance with Market Master is available. 17. Sponsor safety programs in high schools and at local civic club meetings. 18. Volunteer to serve on the county Legislative Committee.
