Australia and New Zealand celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday 14 May 2023. This is a chance to say thank you to mums near and far. We at ANZA would like to give a big shout out to all of our mum members who volunteer their time to our association. Whether it’s overseeing a group, volunteering at ANZA Action, or helping out with the Melbourne Cup, ANZA could not do it without you.
DID YOU KNOW? The Dragon Boat Festival will be celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar (Thursday 22 June 2023). This is when steamed rice dumplings with various fillings will traditionally be enjoyed, with exciting, noisy, colourful dragon boat races being a highlight of the annual festival, in memory of the poet Qu Yuan of the Warring States period in history. – Raelene Tan
