American Motorcyclist, the Journal of the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), is honored to offer a very special edition for June. The issue features a For The Love of Moto theme, which highlights the sport of motocross in a bigger-than-life way.
It all starts with some serious motocross history in the form of two major features on the sport. The first is a 12-page piece on a 1968 Inter-AM event from Southern California featuring several European stars (Joe Robert, Roger DeCoster, etc.) along with a host of young Americans hoping to crack the top ten. The second is a feature on the first Superbowl of Motocross — which was also the very first Supercross race — held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in 1972. The photos in both pieces are spectacular, and many have never been seen before.
The rest of the issue is just as cool, and includes a host of smaller features on motocross machines and riders. So if you’re a motocross fan, you won’t want to miss this one!
