In the world of flat track racing, no venue carries the same magic and allure as the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds in Du Quoin, Ill. — the site of the 2025 Roof Systems AMA Flat Track Grand Championship.
The AMA Flat Track Grand Championship — which has been the premier amateur flat track event since the mid-1970s — is the only event where one can earn an AMA National No. 1 plate in amateur flat track racing, and hundreds of racers flock to the competition each year to test their mettle against the best of the best.
For one week, all eyes will be on the historic Du Quoin State Fairgrounds. With a variety of courses spread across the grounds, including a cushion half-mile, indoor short-track, an enhanced TT course and, of course, the legendary Magic Mile, the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds is the perfect venue to host the wide range of intense racing throughout the week. The fairgrounds
has a rich history dating back to the 1920s, and since the Magic Mile’s construction in 1946, several AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famers have claimed victory at the illustrious venue, including Ricky Graham, Scott Parker, Bubba Shobert and Chris Carr.
At the conclusion of the exciting amateur action, the pros will take to the Magic Mile on Saturday, July 6, for a round of the American Flat Track season. With the nation’s best flat trackers — including Dallas Daniels, Briar Bauman and Brandon Robinson, to name a few — competing in Du Quoin, it’ll be an event you won’t want to miss.
While the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds boasts a rich history in the world of flat track racing, the 2025 Roof Systems AMA Flat Track Grand Championship aims to find the sport’s stars of the future.
Whether you’re here to compete for AMA National No. 1 plates or to bask in the spirit of fierce competition, this program will help you stay informed about all the important happenings!
“I’m excited to watch the best up-and-coming riders in the country compete and to witness the future of our sport unfold right in front of us.”
—BRANDON ROBINSON
The near-endless flat track racing action at the Roof Systems AMA Flat Track Grand Championship serves to identify the next generation of flat track stars. However, one of the sport’s current biggest names will serve as the Grand Marshal for the weeklong event in Du Quoin. American Flat Track (AFT) contender Brandon Robinson will preside over the festivities throughout the outstanding week of fierce competition in Southern Illinois.
Since the start of his career, Robinson has been a consistent presence on the AFT SuperTwins podium, capturing 12 wins across the last six seasons in the series. Robinson has finished in the top three of the Grand National Championship six times.
“Brandon is an outstanding competitor and even better role model, and we can’t wait to have him serve as Grand Marshal at the AMA Flat Track Grand Championship this year,” AMA Track Manager Ken Saillant said. “We anticipate another stellar week of racing and are grateful to Brandon for his willingness to help us hold another great event in Du Quoin.”
Prior to his professional pursuits, Robinson was a regular competitor at the AMA Flat Track Grand Championship, where he built the necessary skills to become a professional.
“It’s incredible to see my journey in flat track come full circle — from racing as a competitor at the Amateur Nationals to now serving as the Grand Marshal. It’s truly an honor,” Robinson said. “I’m excited to watch the best up-and-coming riders in the country compete and to witness the future of our sport unfold right in front of us.”
Not only will Robinson be part of the festivities at the Roof Systems AMA Flat Track Grand Championship, but his talent will also be on display in Du Quoin. A round of the AFT season will be held on the famed Du Quoin Magic Mile track on Saturday, July 5.
