KEMPSHOTT JUNIOR SCHOOL Reporters: Abbie and Jessica Year 6

Time certainly flies when you’re having fun and we cannot believe half a term has gone by already! Year 3 have become sandwich makers using the professional knowledge of Warburtons. Year 4 pupils have visited Alice Holt to study the Vikings. Year 5 have enjoyed their swimming sessions and real progress has been made in the water with every child earning an award certifying their achievement and progress. Year 6 pupils have taken part in cycling proficiency. The Shakespeare cast of Year 6 are looking forward to performing ‘Twelfth Night’ at the Haymarket on 6th November. (Tickets can still be purchased if you wish to watch). In the world of technology Kempshott Junior School welcomed, once again, Harrap at the start of the term to provide e-safety training to all staff and pupils. Parents were also welcomed for an information session regarding safe use of technology for their child. Kempshott Junior School are pleased to announce that the charity of the year of which pupils and parents have chosen to support for the year is ‘The Pink Place’. A local charity within the Basingstoke community supporting women and men with cancer offering a place to chat, relax and receive complimentary therapies or hair dressing services free of charge. We all went to St Marks Church to celebrate the Harvest Festival and our parents gave us tins of food to give to the community.
