Julio es un mes de vacaciones de medio año en casi todos los países de nuestra región y por ello muchas familias elijen viajes de descanso en esta temporada y en Amaszonas hemos preparado algunas opciones para usted. Tendremos una mayor cantidad de espacios y frecuencias en la ruta Santa Cruz – Uyuni al haber dispuesto que nuestro nuevo avión DASH 8 cubra esta ruta, manteniendo también la ruta La Paz – Uyuni. Aumentamos un vuelo adicional a la conexión turística La Paz – Rurrenabaque – La Paz. Hacia Perú, reactivamos durante este mes nuestra ruta eminentemente turística La Paz – Cusco – La Paz, que se extenderá hasta el mes de agosto. PARQUE NACIONAL MADIDI

EL MÁS RICO DEL MUNDO MADIDI NATIONAL PARK: THE RICHEST IN THE WORLD Esta área protegida alberga la mayor cantidad de especies de aves, mamíferos, plantas y mariposas registradas en el mundo, y es la segunda en especies de anfibios y reptiles.

En el Parque Nacional Madidi, ubicado al norte de La Paz (Bolivia) sucedió la extraordinaria posibilidad de que un grupo de 30 científicos bolivianos pueda estudiar durante dos años y medio 15 sitios remotos, los resultados fueron sorprendentes ya que se añadieron a la lista de especies ya registradas en esta área protegida, 1.382 especies de plantas y animales, siendo 124 como nuevas candidatas para la ciencia, confirmando así que es el área protegida con mayor diversidad biológica del mundo. Figuras geométricas, antropomorfas, zoomorfas, de animales y peces e incluso un ser gigante que no parece ser un humano, son algunos de los aproximadamente 450 geoglifos (figuras construidas en laderas de cerros o planicies) que se encuentran distribuidos en un enorme área del desierto más árido del mundo. Más exactamente en la comuna de Pozo Almonte en la pampa del Tamarugal de la Región de Tarapacá - Chile, a 95 kilómetros de Iquique. La teoría más extendida y aceptada del origen de estos curiosos geoglifos es que son representaciones construidas por los pueblos prehispánicos, para marcar las rutas de intercambio de productos que existían antiguamente en el desierto, en los valles de la cordillera y en todo los Andes. TAJIBO TREE: NATURAL HERITAGE OF SANTA CRUZ Invierno y primavera son las estaciones para poder admirar a los tajibos en flor, sus colores rosado, amarillo y blanco adornan las avenidas y plazas de las ciudades del oriente de Bolivia. Esta especie pertenece a la familia Tabebuia que comprende alrededor de un centenar de árboles y crecen en la zona intertropical del continente, en países como Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Paraguay, México, Venezuela, entre otros. El tajibo en Santa Cruz de la Sierra comenzó a florecer de manera ornamental en los jardines de la avenida Cañoto, debido a un programa de arborización que encaró el naturalista Noel Kempff Mercado en la década de los ochenta. Actualmente se puede observar este precioso árbol adornando los paisajes en varias locaciones de la ciudad. Es así que, por su belleza y riqueza forestal, esta especie ha sido declarada como “Patrimonio Natural de Santa Cruz”, por lo que cada primero de septiembre se celebrará el Día Departamental del Tajibo. En ese sentido la Asamblea Departamental Legislativa realizará gestiones para promocionar y resaltar el uso ornamental del tajibo como símbolo de la región. La mayoría de estas mujeres viven en 69 de los países más pobres. Entre los objetivos está facilitar de información a estos grupos apuntando a la Cumbre sobre la Planificación Familiar a realizarse el año 2020.

El camino Franciscano y de la Artesanía sigue las huellas de la Orden Franciscana que fundó pueblos abiertos y dejó a su paso valiosas obras de arte. El recorrido, que permite también conocer a los artesanos en sus propios pueblos, parte de Asunción y conduce a Ypané, Altos, Itá, Atyra, Yaguarón, Piribebuy, Tobatí, Caacupé, Luque, Valenzuela, Villarrica, Caazapá, Areguá, Itauguá y S. J. Nepomuceno. La rica tradición colonial en la que convergen las culturas guaraní e hispánica, ha permitido en el Paraguay el constante desarrollo de una gran diversidad de artesanías. Un escarabajo acuático recién descubierto lleva el nombre de Leonardo DiCaprio, no se trata de un hecho casual, resulta que este oscarizado actor norteamericano dirige la fundación Leonardo DiCaprio que se dedica, desde 1998, a proteger la diversidad, las especies autóctonas y los últimos lugares vírgenes del mundo, dando la batalla al cambio climático. Se trata de un escarabajo de agua, que según el diario digital ZooKeys, “es un tributo que marca el vigésimo aniversario de la Fundación Leonardo DiCaprio y sus esfuerzos en favor de la preservación de la biodiversidad”. El Grouvellinus leonardodicaprio fue descubierto en una catarata en la cuenca de Maliau (Malasia) durante una expedición organizada por una empresa dedicada a viajes de estudios científicos para personas sin ese tipo de formación, con el fin de encontrar especies desconocidas. A recently discovered aquatic beetle has been named after Leonardo DiCaprio. En esta oportunidad, nuevamente todos los actores de la comunidad aeronáutica boliviana se reunieron para planificar el destino de la aviación de cara al quinquenio 2020 – 2025. En esencia, la planificación se basó en los

cinco objetivos estratégicos en los que la Organización de Aviación Civil Internacional – OACI trabaja hace muchos años atrás, a saber: Seguridad Operacional, Navegación Aérea, Seguridad de la Aviación Civil, Desarrollo del Transporte Aéreo y Protección del Medio Ambiente. Durante tres días la comunidad aeronáutica sistemáticamente abordó cada uno de los objetivos estratégicos, identificando la problemática y planteando soluciones

Los consensos mínimos son los siguientes: en cuanto a la Seguridad Operacional se convino la necesidad del Estado de Implementar el Programa Estatal de Seguridad Operacional (SSP) y que este se armonice con los Sistemas de Gestión de la Seguridad Operacional (SMS) que los distintos operadores aéreos, aeroportuarios ya han implementado. Una buena noticia para la aviación en cuanto a navegación aérea, es la aprobación del nuevo plan de rutas, que incluyen rutas flexibles y por su puesto la consecución de la radarización del estado Plurinacional a través de 6 radares que coberturan casi todo el país. También, en materia de facilitación y transporte aéreo se llegaron a acuerdos importantes, tanto en la conveniencia de seguir adelante con el Centro de Distribución (Hub) a ser implementado en el aeropuerto de Viru Viru de la ciudad de Santa Cruz de la Sierra, como en cuanto a la flexibilización de la política aérea y migratoria boliviana. Esto implicara que el Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia suscribirá nuevos acuerdos bilaterales con otros países del mundo, como flexibilizara los ya existentes en algunos casos, esto sin duda repercutirá en el incrementó de posibilidades de mercado para los operadores nacionales e internacionales. Solo de manera ilustrativa, a la fecha el Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia tiene suscritos 18 acuerdos bilaterales y 2 multilaterales. Finalmente, el estado y los operadores ya han tomado acción sobre el tema de la protección del medio ambiente, y la reducción de la emanación de gases por parte de las aeronaves. Como referencia, en el contexto internacional la industria aeronáutica ha logrado importantes avances en la disminución significativa del consumo de combustible y las emisiones de CO2, habiendo logrado las aerolíneas de Latinoamerica y el Caribe disminuir en promedio 3,5% de las emisiones de CO2 cada año desde el 2011. En síntesis, existe un futuro para la Aviación Civil boliviana y su proyección en el próximo quinquenio, sin embargo, este camino solo es posible cuando los actores logran consensos mínimos, y por su puesto con una gran cantidad de trabajo de todos en las áreas que nos tocan. Sin esta fórmula, nada será posible.

Thrist Mckayne fue un personaje ficticio con varios poderes que duraban tres segundos, pero solo podía usar uno a la vez, esto lo convertía en una persona casi normal. Este ser fue creado por Rodrigo Abad cuando tenía ocho años y hoy es el nombre que da vida a una de las bandas más representativas del punk actual en Bolivia. Con un EP titulado Thrist Mckayne grabado en 2016, estos jóvenes demostraron de qué están hechos, toda vez que en menos de 20 minutos la velocidad y potencia de su sonido se mezclan con ritmos más melódicos, moviéndose entre el punk rock y el hardcore. De este trabajo se desprende el video clip “Mil Demonios” lanzando en 2017. Y recientemente publicaron el video “Combustible” que será parte de un single de dos canciones a lanzarse pronto. Conversamos con Ibi Younes de Thrist Mckayne, banda que ahora es en un gran referente del alicaído punk en tierras cruceñas.

Thrist Mckayne was a fictional character with several powers that would only last for three seconds, but he could only use one power at a time; this made him an almost normal person. Rodrigo Abad created this character when he was eight years old and today it is the name that gives life to one of the most representative bands of current punk in Bolivia. With an EP titled Thrist Mckayne recorded in 2016, these young people demonstrated what they are made of; in less than 20 minutes the speed and power of their sound mixes with more melodic rhythms, moving between punk rock and hardcore. Based on that album, a video, "Mil demonios" was released in 2017. Recently, they published the video "Combustible" that will be part of the single disc of two songs to be released soon. We talked with Ibi Younes of Thrist Mckayne, a band that is now a great reference point for followers of punk in Santa Cruz.

- ¿Cómo y cuándo se formó la banda? - Thrist Mckayne surge de un fuerte lazo de amistad y química musical, fue una idea que arrastramos desde el 2014. Ya en 2015 iniciamos la grabación del EP para un año más tarde lanzar el primer corte “Volver”. Nuestro debut en vivo fue en el festival “Tímpano Intimo” en 2016. - ¿Cómo ha sido la recepción del público? Nuestros dos videos producidos por Blauh.com fueron número uno en los rankings de radios y televisión, también tuvimos una mención en la revista “Bang” colocando nuestro EP entre los 10 mejores álbumes nacionales lanzando en 2016. - ¿Cómo consideran que se encuentra la movida musical alternativa en el país? - Por parte de las bandas es interesante, hay propuestas de todo tipo y los medios de producción son cada vez más independientes. La gente aprendió a producir por sus propias manos: discos, videos y material promocional. Por el contrario, en muchos casos los eventos aún no están a un nivel internacional. Vivimos en un país donde es casi inexistente la tarea de productores y demás labores de esta industria. - ¿Lanzarán algún material de larga duración? - Dudo que saquemos un LP, podría pasar pero hoy no lo vemos necesario en una sociedad que avanza rápido y todo lo quiere rápido. Nos parece mejor sacar Ep o singles. - Poseen una excelente técnica musical para el estilo que tocan. - La performance y técnica musical la tenemos por metas que nos ponemos. No aceptamos excusas y tendencias de gente que pertenece a movimientos punk o rock underground, que por ser “subterráneos” o “calle” tenemos que hacer música precaria y mal ejecutada. Tenemos gustos de las escuelas mas viejas de punk y hardcore, con sonidos agresivos y desprolijos. Si bien conservamos la actitud e influencia, intentamos hacer algo más nuestro y evolucionado.

- How and when was the band formed? - Thrist Mckayne grew out of a strong bond of friendship and musical chemistry; it was an idea starting back in 2014. In 2015 we started recording our EP, and a year later we released the first single, "Volver." Our live debut was at the "Tímpano Intimo" festival in 2016. To date, how have you been received by the public? Our two videos produced by Blauh.com have held the number one position in radio and television program rankings. We also had a mention in the magazine "Bang" placing our EP among the 10 best national albums of 2016. - How would you describe the current state of the alternative musical scene in the country? - The bands are interesting; there are albums of all types and the production is more independent. People have learned to produce albums, videos and promotional material on their own. However, the events are not at the international level yet. We live in a country where tasks for producers and others in the industry are almost non-existent. - Are you going to release any long-play material? - I doubt we make an LP, because today things are moving so quickly and society demands everything fast, so it seems better to put out EPs or singles. - You have excellent technique for the style you play. - The performance and musical technique we’ve reached is because of the goals we’ve set for ourselves. We do not accept excuses or the tendencies of people who belong to punk movements or underground rock that says that because they are "underground" or "street" that it is ok to make poorly executed music. We have the style of the oldest punk and hardcore schools, with aggressive and messy sounds. While we maintain the attitude and influence, we try to do something more our own and evolved. 61

Kushner también anunció que saldrá a la venta un nuevo lote de cuadernos con fotografías y mensajes en favor de los perros, los fondos a recaudar servirán para continuar con las esterilizaciones. LOS PASAJES A AMASCUOTAS Se trata del primer servicio directo ofrecido por una aerolínea en el mercado boliviano para compra de pasajes en cuotas. Amaszonas Línea Aérea, como lo hizo con el primer programa de viajero frecuente, presenta el primer programa para compra de pasajes en cuotas llamado AmasCuotas. La modalidad de obtención es muy sencilla y está dirigido a todos los pasajeros que busquen viajar a los destinos tanto nacionales como internacionales de Amaszonas y que pagaran por los mismos en cuotas de 6 hasta 18 meses. El servicio puede ser solicitado en cualquiera de las oficinas comerciales de Amaszonas en Bolivia y comprende los siguientes destinos: Santa Cruz, La Paz, Cochabamba, Sucre, Trinidad, Rurrenabaque, Uyuni, Riberalta, Iquique, Cusco y Asunción. Para obtener AmasCuotas se sigue un procedimiento parecido, aunque más sencillo, al de obtención de un crédito bancario.

SOMOS AEROLÍNEA OFICIAL DE LOS INGENIEROS DE LA PAZ Amaszonas Línea Aérea de Bolivia firmó un acuerdo con la Sociedad de Ingenieros de Bolivia (SIB)– Regional La Paz, con el objetivo de convertirse en la transportadora oficial de los ingenieros de La Paz. Este acuerdo que fue presentado en la oficina central de la SIB y ante varios afiliados, beneficiará a unos 20 mil ingenieros que por razones de trabajo precisan trasladarse entre las ciudades de Bolivia. Los ingenieros se beneficiarán con un descuento en pasajes y algunos beneficios en cuanto a atención, tanto para destinos nacionales como internacionales de Amaszonas. 96

AMASZONAS AMPLÍA SERVICIO DE CONTACT CENTER El nuevo servicio del contact center de Amaszonas como grupo de aerolíneas inició su nueva modalidad de atención en días pasados y tiene el objetivo de ofrecer un servicio adecuado a las exigencias de los clientes. Entre los servicios que se destacan: se amplió el horario de atención a 24 horas para todos los países en los que opera Amaszonas, la atención será tanto en inglés como en español, además de complementar con información comercial acorde a las exigencias de pasajeros y todos los que llaman al call center.

SEMINARIO DE SEGURIDAD EN AERONAVEGABILIDAD El interés y la participación de los Estados presentes ha sido un factor clave para poder reunir a un grupo de reconocidos expertos quienes compartieron sus experiencias. El fin último fue lograr beneficios directos y tangibles para los pasajeros y explotadores aéreos. En Santa Cruz de la Sierra, la Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia llevó a cabo el "Sexto Seminario Anual de Seguridad en Aeronavegabilidad" en fechas 5 al 7 de junio de 2018, con la participación de 58 asistentes de diferentes países como Estados Unidos de Norte América, Aruba, Chile, Trinidad y Tobago, Brasil, Cuba, Uruguay, Jamaica, Paraguay y República Dominicana. El Seminario tuvo como objetivo final la consolidación del espíritu y la actitud tanto de especialistas como de inspectores de aeronavegabilidad a nivel mundial, así como incentivar el trabajo de investigación; abordó los aspectos requeridos para el cumplimiento de los SARPS (Normas y Métodos Recomendados) por la Organización de Aviación Civil Internacional (OACI). Los temas importantes que se abordaron para nuestro país fueron la Vigilancia de la Seguridad Operacional basada en Riesgos para Aeronavegabilidad, Operación y Certificación de Drones, Cómo Mantener la Categoría I de la Administración Federal de Aviación (FAA), Certificación de Organizaciones de Mantenimiento Aprobadas Nacionales y Extranjeras 98

(OMAs) y Requisitos para la emisión de una autorización previa de Importación de Aeronaves a Bolivia, Maletín de Vuelo Electrónico (EFB) y Cómo verificar Certificados de Aeronavegabilidad de Exportación (CAE). El interés y la participación de los Estados presentes ha sido un factor clave para poder reunir a un grupo de reconocidos expertos quienes compartieron sus experiencias. El fin último fue lograr beneficios directos y tangibles para los pasajeros y explotadores aéreos. El convenio de Chicago estipula que todo Estado tiene soberanía plena y exclusiva en el espacio aéreo situado sobre su territorio. No obstante, al adherirse al convenio los Estados aceptan ciertos principios y acuerdos a fin de que la aviación pueda desarrollarse de manera segura y ordenada. Finalmente, la DGAC asume el compromiso como Estado para la realización de este importante evento Internacional en el año 2017 y es con la gestión del Director Ejecutivo Gral. Fza. Aé. Celier Aparicio Arispe Rosas que se plasma este suceso de acuerdo a la programación coordinada con la Administración Federal de Aviación (FAA), producto del cual se obtuvo un excelente resultado.
