2 ︱M MAG

A Letter from the Editor Hello and welcome to the first issue of M Magazine! I first got this idea during Spring Break while on a trip with some of my closest friends. At the start of my junior year, I had found my passion for fashion, a career which I wish to pursue. During this trip, one of my best friends gave me the idea that I should act on this passion. Thus, the idea for a fashion magazine came about. Previously, I felt there were not enough opportunities for students like me to pursue fashion. I decided to create that opportunity with M Magazine! This first issue centers around all things fall: basic staple pieces for your closet, the trends we expect to see, how to accessorize, and more. I hope my love of all things fashion shines through within this magazine. Thank you to the amazing people who helped me publish this first issue of M Magazine!

All my love, Alyssa Diaz 3︱M Mag

28 ︱M MAG

City Life

Dressing for city life is supposed to reflect the busyness and fast-paced life of urban areas. For this fall, be sure to incorporate layering, saturated color, and knitwear into your wardrobe.

Who says you can only have one? Include several trends within your outfit to make it more complex. Double a sweater vest as both knitwear and a saturated color statement piece! 29︱M Mag

Preppy

Black top from Aspen Threads

Add a white button up to your outfits to elevate your look. Be sure to layer as well! 30 ︱M MAG

Dressing preppy is supposed to be a nod at the traditional way to dress, but with a twist of modernness. We think you should incorporate pieces from the 90’s, knitting, and matching sets into your closet.

The style of grunge is meant to be parallel to that of popular musicians in punk and rock bands. For this style, we believe you should incorporate layering and 90’s pieces, such as baggy denim, oversized flannels, slip dresses, and platform shoes.

Flannel & Boots from The Crowned Bird

Layer an oversized flannel over a slip dress and platforms to stay comfy and look cute! 31︱M Mag

This style is meant to allow one to look stylish, but be comfortable at the same time. For this style, we believe knitwear and matching sets would fit you best! Knit Tank & Sweater from Aspen Threads

Layer knitwear over baggy clothing, allowing you both comfort and style. Bring in fall colors to complement the season! 32 ︱M MAG

Skater and streetwear have recently gained popularity. This style is associated with loose, baggy clothing that is fashionable. This season, allow for layering, saturated color, and 90’s pieces to make their way into your outfits.

Don’t be scared to stick to one color. Add a pop of color in between and you’re good to go!
