The Medical Sciences Programme Our bespoke programme is designed for students wishing to study Medicine, Dentistry, Vet Med, Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences at university.
Students have weekly seminars at the college in which they are introduced to topics of current medical/scientific interest and discussions are held around the topics. Visiting professionals are also invited to give talks to students in person and through our Zoom portal. Work experience placements are a key feature of this programme and through our commercial partners and network of professional contacts we are able to secure relevant work experience
for students across a wide range of professions including veterinary medicine. The Medical Sciences Programme (MSP) is led by our Head of Science, Dr James Patterson, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, and he is assisted by other members of the Science and Psychology departments.
BMAT & UCAT Preparation The college runs in-house courses for UCAT and BMAT preparation, free to all Albemarle students.

The UCAT course focuses on test and revision strategies, identifying weaknesses in reasoning and decision analysis, as well as question practise. The BMAT course covers the full range of skills required for the test, including revision of core science and numeracy. For more information please see the MSP brochure on the website.
