Sport & Leisure Activities

Students benefit from a wide range of sports and leisure activities ranging from football to rock-climbing, most of which take place at a local sports centre close to the college in Marylebone.

Popular sporting activities include football, tennis, volleyball, basketball, netball, badminton, as well as martial arts, dance aerobics and yoga.

The college’s student council is instrumental in providing suggestions for sporting activities; these are arranged outside of the weekly main sporting afternoon and include horse-riding, golf and athletics.

Although sport is not compulsory, it is certainly encouraged to help students keep fit and healthy, but also for their mental wellbeing.

Music Club

Now in its third year the music club continues to grow in strength, attracting students who play a wide range of instruments, ranging from violin to bass guitar. The club is led by music teacher Aleksander Vasilkov, who allows students to express their musicality and explore different musical genres.

Film & Photography Club

The Film Club offers students the opportunity to watch films across many different genres and languages, and to engage in making short films and animations with the help of our Media Department. Students keen on improving their photography technique are also able to participate in our highly successful Street Photography sessions, led by a variety of professionals including Eric Kim.

College Magazine

The production of the student magazine Faraday is overseen by the student council, and students are encouraged to contribute articles, photos, puzzles and of course jokes, each year. Student Council

Each year the student body elects representatives from across the year groups at the college to voice their opinions on a wide range of issues. The student council also organise events and parties throughout the year including the highly popular Summer Ball. The reps run the common room tuck shop with all profits going to the charity of their choice.

Music Club Cultural Trip

The college has an annual week long Cultural Trip in the Spring term, generally to a European Capital or City. All students are eligible to take part and they are accompanied by a group of teaching staff. Activities planned for the week include bike tours, pizza and gelato making (Italy), tango lessons (Spain), visits to historical sites and leisure activities.
