TEAM MEMBER AFS INDIA STAFF

“Culture is a flower that blossoms from the soil of our humanity.” – Daisaku Ikeda

In the heart of the vibrant world of intercultural exchange, I embarked on a transformative journey as an Administrative and Program Support at AFS India. Over the course of four enriching months, I had the privilege of contributing to a cause that transcends borders, fostering global understanding and creating meaningful connections.

My role as a program support allowed me to be at the epicenter of diverse intercultural initiatives. From orchestrating participant orientations that set the stage for transformative experiences to coordinating logistics for culturally immersive events, each day presented a new opportunity to weave the tapestry of cultural exchange

In the spirit of intercultural exchange, collaboration extended beyond the confines of the sponsored department. I worked seamlessly with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, realizing that the strength of our collective efforts lay in the richness of our perspectives. Together, we navigated the intricate web of cross-functional initiatives, contributing to the holistic success of our organization.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my role was being a bridge between participants and the transformative experiences awaiting them. Addressing inquiries, ensuring participant satisfaction, and contributing to the development of support strategies were not just tasks; they were threads in the fabric of fostering global friendships.

As I reflect on my four months at AFS India, I am reminded that the impact of intercultural exchange extends far beyond the duration of a program. It is a lifelong journey of learning, understanding, and connecting with the world. My time as an admin and program support professional has not only been a career milestone but a personal odyssey into the power of cultural exchange to shape perspectives and create a more interconnected global community

In the end, it's not just about the programs; it's about the people, the stories, and the shared moments that transcend borders and leave an indelible mark on the heart.
