Reported Larcenies SEPT. 18 » Kaiserslautern: One 35-inch flat-screen Hitachi TV.

9:18 a.m.: A drunken driving and major traffic accident with injuries was reported between Schönenberg-Kübelberg and Brücken. The accident was caused due to excessive speed for road conditions.

2:12 a.m.: An assault and disorderly conduct was reported on Ramstein.

5:21 p.m.: A fleeing the scene was reported on Landstuhl.

9:48 a.m.: A major traffic accident was reported in Weilerbach after a vehicle drove around a curve and struck a parked car. 1:05 p.m.: A major traffic accident with injuries was reported in Kaiserslautern. The accident was caused due to failure to yield right of way. 5:41 p.m.: A fleeing the scene and provoking speeches was reported in Kaiserslautern.

11:51 a.m.: A major traffic accident was reported in Kaiserslautern. The accident was caused due to failure to yield right of way. 2:25 p.m.: A drunken driving was reported at the shoppette on Landstuhl after security forces stopped a vehicle that failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.

12:09 a.m.: A domestic assault was reported in Otterberg.
3:36 p.m.: Damage to private property was reported in Erfenbach. Damage included a shattered windshield, scratched passenger’s side trunk and roof, and shattered passenger’s side mirror. 4:45 p.m.: Child endangerment and failure to obey a lawful order or regulation was reported at the commissary on Vogelweh after children were found left in a vehicle alone for about 15 minutes without adult supervision. 5:05 p.m.: A major traffic accident with injuries, drunken driving, and suicidal gestures was reported in Neunkirchen.

Operation Crime Stop

The 86th Security Forces Squadron has implemented the use of a telephone system dedicated to Operation Crime Stop. Operation Crime Stop is an essential element of crime prevention and is used for immediate and accurate reporting of imminent crime situations or criminal acts. The crucial difference between current telephonic systems to 489-STOP (489-7867) or 0631-5367867 is the option for the caller to remain anonymous. Base residents are encouraged to utilize 489-STOP to report crimes, suspicious activity, school crimes (bullying), domestic violence, threatening acts or behavior, possession of weapons, and/or the use or sale of illegal drugs. Closures
• The KMC Housing offices will close at 11:30 a.m. today for an office function. The offices will also be closed Wednesday for a German holiday and Oct. 8 for an American holiday. • The Azur outdoor and indoor pool, as well as the sauna, is closed until Saturday. • The 86th Munitions Squadron will be closed for a 100 percent inventory until Sunday. Retiree Appreciation Day
The annual Retiree Appreciation Day will take place Oct. 12 at the Ramstein Officers’ Club, Suite 2. The event will begin with posting of the colors at 9 a.m. A light breakfast and refreshments will be served from 8 to 8:50 a.m. on a first come, first served basis. Briefings will be given by representatives of the Air Force Retiree Council, pharmacy, Tricare, 86th Medical Group, 86th Force Support Squadron, mortuary affairs and Red Cross. Services will include eye pressure screenings, flu shots, legal assistance and more. There will be a raffle drawing with door prizes. The event is open to all KMC retirees from any branch of service.
