Dear Fellow Members,
It is an honor to write to you for the first time as your Club President. Following in the footsteps of Injay who served the previous term, I want to acknowledge and thank him for his contributions, as well as the Board and supervisors who have stepped down . While I may be new to this role, I’ve been a Member for nearly 45 years, and what has always stood out to me about the ACC, is the strong sense of service and community that defines our Club. I want to extend my sincere thanks to those who have recently stepped forward to serve on our Committees. Your energy and commitment are what keep the Club vibrant, forward-looking, and Memberfocused. Your collective contributions are the lifeblood of the Club.
As we reach the halfway point of the year, I’m pleased to share updates on some exciting developments. One of the most notable is the reopening of the newly refurbished Rendezvous— a key step in enhancing the Member experience. The space has been thoughtfully designed to adapt to your needs throughout the day. By day, it’s a comfortable setting for quiet work, casual meetings, or a coffee break. By evening, it transforms into a lively social venue—perfect for drinks with friends or enjoying Club events. It’s a modern yet welcoming space that reflects the dynamic lifestyle our Members value.
Looking ahead, our longer-term plans are also moving forward. We’re now focusing on further enhancements to the Lobby, Market, and Pro Shop—all being reimagined to better serve Member needs while preserving the Club’s heritage and character. These improvements will continue to elevate the everyday experience and ensure the Club remains a place we’re proud to call our second home.
With these future plans shared, it goes without saying that we always welcome Member feedback with the various updates, improvements, and innovations we implement to strive to make the ACC one of the premier clubs in Asia. Your comments to better improve the Member experience is a pivotal part of our success and we hope to see an increase in the interaction between Members and management.
Lastly, this time of year also brings mixed emotions. We bid farewell to long-standing Members who are relocating or returning home. Thank you for being part of our community, and we wish you all the very best. To those traveling to visit family and friends, enjoy your time away—we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Wherever your summer takes you, I encourage you to stay connected to the Club through our digital channels. Thank you for your continued support and for helping make our Club the special place it is.
Warm regards,
Dear Members,
As we move into the second half of the year, I’d like to begin with a brief update on Club business. We’ve already started working with our newly formed Committees agreeing clear goals and objectives for this term. Over the summer, Management will continue following up on these discussions so that when our Committee Members return, we can move smoothly into the next phase of planning and execution. Our focus remains on driving meaningful improvements while staying aligned with Member expectations and long-term Club priorities.
Now, on to the summer…
For those of you spending the summer in Taipei, the Club is ready to keep things lively, refreshing, and filled with great experiences. Whether you’re enjoying downtime with family, staying active, or just looking to unwind, we’ve planned a vibrant lineup of events to keep the energy high and the summer spirit alive.
Join us to celebrate Independence Day with our biggest poolside celebration of the year! This all-evening event brings together the best of summer fun—all-you-can-eat and drink, live DJ beats, inflatable pool rings, and an atmosphere buzzing with excitement. Family-friendly highlights include face painting, a balloon busker, a lucky draw featuring airline tickets, and our once-a-year fire dance performance—always a showstopper.
Rescheduled to give everyone a warm welcome back and one last splash of summer fun, this festive evening features beer booths pouring a variety of brands—we showcased 23 different types last year! Enjoy all-you-can-eat and drink, plus plenty of non-alcoholic options for all ages. With a live DJ and poolside vibes, it’s the perfect way to toast the end of the season.
We’ve got some great one-offs lined up this summer:
• July 20 – National Ice Cream Day Pop-Up: Cool treats for all ages.
• August 13 – National Prosecco Day: Light, bubbly, and perfect for toasting summer evenings.
• August 15 – Sensational Sake Dinner at Gyoson: A curated pairing experience.
• August 16 – Social Tennis Welcome Back Party: Fun matchups and reconnecting on court. Behind the scenes, we’re also working closely with the F&B Committee on new food experiences Club-wide—exploring new concepts to surprise and delight you, while keeping the Club favorites.
Finally, we’re thrilled to welcome you back to the newly refurbished Rendezvous. With its upgraded look and feel, it’s the perfect spot for small meetings, working on your laptop, enjoying a gourmet coffee, light bites, or evening drinks. The adjacent pool room has also been refreshed, now featuring a newly recovered pool table, an electronic dart board, and the ever-popular pinball machine—making it an even better space to relax, socialize, or challenge friends to a friendly match. Throughout July, enjoy our special-value French wine list and selected live music performances—the perfect way to unwind on a summer evening.
Thank you for being part of our wonderful community. Whether you’re here all summer or returning later, we look forward to seeing you around the Club.

Since its opening in 2007, the Rendezvous has been more than just a bar—it’s been the Club’s heart after hours. Whether catching the latest game on the big screen, unwinding with live music, or enjoying a glass of wine with friends, Members have long cherished the Rendezvous as a space to connect, relax, and celebrate. Now, nearly two decades later, this iconic venue is entering a bold new chapter.
Originally envisioned as a dedicated adult lounge, the Rendezvous was designed to offer Members a refined yet casual setting—complete with widescreen TVs, a flexible stage for live entertainment, and a thoughtfully relocated Wine Cellar as its focal point. Its mission was clear: provide a
welcoming space for adult men and women, separate from the family-oriented areas of the Club, and extend the life of the Club’s social hours late into the night. It quickly lived up to its name, becoming the go-to “rendezvous” spot for good drinks, light bites, and even lighter spirits.
But as our Members' needs have grown and evolved, so too must our spaces. This spring marks the beginning of a much-anticipated renovation of the Rendezvous and the adjoining Pool Room. The refurbishment, scheduled for completion by late June, has been carefully planned with Member feedback, committee input, and a vision to make the Rendezvous more versatile, inclusive, and stylishly modern.
One of the most significant changes is the relocation of the Bar to the current Wine Room. This architectural shift dramatically opens up the main floor, introducing comfortable seating zones on both sides of the new Bar Counter. Members can expect a variety of seating—from cozy nooks for quiet conversation to more open areas perfect for socializing and watching major sporting events on a brand-new LED Wall.
The refreshed Rendezvous has been thoughtfully designed to serve as a multifunctional space. By day, it will offer a serene co-working environment complete with flexible furniture and soft, sound-absorbing materials to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. As evening falls, the mood will shift seamlessly into a warm and relaxed bar and dining setting.
Special attention has also been paid to making the space more inviting for female Members'. Brighter lighting, modern finishes, and a softer color palette will replace the current darker, more masculine ambiance. Inspired by elegant yet casual venues
like the Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s Maduro Bar, the new Rendezvous will balance sophistication with approachability.
Technology gets a boost too: in addition to the LED wall, Members' can look forward to multiple LED TVs for regular game-watching and ten-line beer taps for improved service. For those who enjoy a personal touch, discreet liquor lockers will be available for Members' use. The Pool Room, as the center of recreation, will feature electronic darts as an additional upgrade. Though its layout and look may change, the spirit of the Rendezvous remains the same: a space designed for Members' to meet, unwind, and enjoy the simple pleasure of good company. Whether you’re coming in to get work done over coffee or raising a toast with friends, the new Rendezvous promises to feel both familiar and excitingly new. We can’t wait to welcome you back.
