TEAM REPORT

“Oh, What a Night”!

Our inaugural New York Gala brought a diverse group of supporters together to show their love for Aaron and his ALL RISE Foundation. The “All-Star Evening” was held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City on Friday, November 18. More than 450 guests, including sponsors, professional athletes, All-Stars, leaders in the sports industry, friends, and family enjoyed a beautiful evening of signature cocktails and desserts, ne dining, and a silent auction including signed sports memorabilia from Aaron and other professional athletes. A live auction included several experiences with Aaron, as well as the favorite “Hey Aaron, can we have a catch?” offering four children the opportunity to play catch and have lunch with Aaron. “Save it for the Judge”, moderated by Suzyn Waldman and Meredith Marakovits, gave guests a chance to ask Aaron a question about his career, Yankees experiences, and his journey to 62 and MVP. ALL RISE awards included a tribute to Harold Theurer, author of “Hey Dad, Let’s Have a Catch”, a Mom’s Choice Award winner, which is the foundation for the ALL RISE Just5Minutes campaign to stress the importance spending time with children. #Just5Minutes! Several other awards were presented. See those honored on our website, www.aaronjudgeallrisefoundation.org/awards3

We are excited to be expanding our programs and collaborations into the New York region as we strive to make a real difference for the kids who need it the most.

We walk by faith, not by sight – 2 Corinthians 5:7

Crossing Home!

As a kid playing baseball, I learned pretty quickly how great it was to cross home plate. Everyone got so excited and cheered for you when you crossed home. That feeling might be one of the things that makes a kid fall in love with baseball; that moment when teammates give you high ves, and coaches and parents jump and cheer. Linden, CA has always been my home and is still the place I can retreat to during holidays. A place where family and friends gather, and I can feel surrounded by those that I care about. When I come to Linden, I cross home.

Linden is also the place where I grew up, went to school, built friendships, attended leadership camps, played sports and met my wife, so it only made sense that as we started to create the ALL RISE Foundation, we looked to build it here in my home community. We saw a lot of ways that our foundation can help youth in my hometown.

Because of the great support of my family and friends, we were quickly able to extend our reach to the rst place I lived outside of Linden, my college town of Fresno. At Fresno State, my baseball dreams grew, and the cheers got louder as I crossed home plate. I developed lasting friendships, and the community has rallied around ALL RISE, extending our family to a larger part of California.

2022 brought some special trips across home plate for me. The kinds of runs that as a kid one dreams of. With Covid restrictions seemingly in the past, fans were back in the stands cheering for the Yankees, and my family was able to join me at the ballpark again. It also meant that this was the year that we were able to introduce ALL RISE and the work we had been doing in California to New York City.

When I walked into Cipriani on November 18th, I was quickly reminded of those feelings of home, surrounded by family and friends. While I may not have known everyone’s name in the room, I could see they had gathered as part of the ALL RISE team to support the mission to inspire youth to reach unlimited possibilities. While ALL RISE had been scoring runs since we launched in 2019, this trip across the plate capped off a magical season. The evening put us in a great position to continue to grow our outreach in what turns out will be my new home for a long time. Our family has grown, the friendships are stronger, and the kids in Linden, Fresno and New York City will be the winners. I hope you will continue to support ALL RISE as we continue to round the bases and stay tuned for what other dreams, we make come true.

Thank you to our

On Tuesday, January 24th, Aaron and guest, Anthony Rizzo shared their experiences with mentorship, communication with teammates and decisionmaking with fans and classes grades 2- 9. Some of the takeaways included sharing your goals with teammates, so that you create some accountability; asking others on your team for their opinions, and then listening to your inner-voice to make a nal decision; and lastly be honest with others and with yourself.

The new imagined ‘Master Classes’ come with vocabulary and post-event discussion questions, to get the young people thinking about how they can be leaders. The video will become part of our Leadership Library. Coming this year will be short, mini-lessons, using clips from videos to provide teachers with another tool for teaching Social Emotional Learning. Won’t you join us in one of our future classes to see how we are nding more ways to inspire youth to reach their unlimited potential?

#ALLRISE2HELP - January 2023 Winners

We are celebrating the January #ALLRISE2Help powerband winners. This initiative began in 2021, in partnership with #ICANHELP, a non-pro t organization focused on creating positive change and support in the digital space for youth. According to the Pew Research Center, 59% of U.S. teens have been bullied or harassed online, and over 90% believe it's a major problem for people their age. Research has also shown that cyberbullying impacts a student’s ability to learn and feel safe while at school, something we also know from our experience in education.

As part of the ALL RISE mission to create initiatives that encourage and inspire youth to become responsible citizens, this program aims to support

youth making social media a safe place for others. The powerband recipients are nominated by their peers for creating a positive environment on social media. Each month, those chosen receive a letter from Aaron and a powerband to remind them about making good choices online. They are also recognized on our social media channels.

Our January 2023 class was not only the biggest so far with 12 recipients, it took us internationally to a young woman in India, Melchi Mizpah Michael, who is being the change in her network. Other recipients this month include: Mike Bellina, Lexi Burkey, Justin Choi, Matthew Crowe, Jack Lewis, Frank Luna, Anne Petraro, Ava Shasha, Mihika Prabhu, John Trojnar, Sarah Velez. #ALLRISEforYouth #ALLRISE2Help

For our third consecutive year, we were proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 2022 Run & Walk Against Hunger Run & Walk benefiting the Emergency Food
