TEAM REPORT

Summer Highlights: A Season of Celebration and Change

Doesn’t it feel great when a plan comes together, especially if a team is involved? When all group members buy into the plan and ful ll their responsibilities, your ideas come to life and your goals are met. What satisfaction. Our ALL RISE Summer Road Trip was a whirlwind success! A

same school district where I taught for 33 years. It was a natural progression for her to rst join ALL RISE as a

volunteer and later become an integral part of our marketing team - leading our educational initiatives. I am thrilled, as her former teacher and President of the Foundation, to announce that Hien has been appointed Executive Director of the Aaron Judge ALL RISE Foundation. She will lead strategic initiatives, oversee operations and drive organizational growth. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Educational Inquiry. Along with her leadership skills, she is passionate about youth empowerment and brings a deep commitment to our team. I couldn’t be more proud to see her step into this new role, and I’m honored to continue mentoring and supporting her along the way.

The 9/9 for 99 online auction, in collaboration with YES Network, was a huge success. Bidding was lively for an incredible lineup of auction items — from New York Yankees stadium experiences and meet-and-greets with Aaron, to an exclusive YES Network Studio Tour, just to name a few! All funds raised will directly support ALL RISE programs and initiatives. Thank you to all who engaged with us in this fun and exciting auction. We're especially grateful to those who donated items and placed bids—your generosity will directly bene t the youth we serve and support the programs that help them thrive.

CHAMBERS Judge’s

We walk by faith, not by sight – 2 Corinthians 5:7

Moments that Matter

• Leadership Development • Character Development • Health & Well-being

I loved science as a student, even though it wasn’t always my strongest subject. When I struggled, my high school science teacher, Mr. Neugebauer, was always happy to help. If I had a question, he took the time to break the problem down until I truly understood. He went beyond just giving me information — he made a personal connection, and his enthusiasm ignited mine.

I also remember what it felt like as a teenager to get an autograph from Jonathan Sánchez, and how much that small moment meant. He not only signed a ball for me, but he spoke to me like he already knew me. Because of examples like his, when I meet a kid—whether through Make-A-Wish or while signing an autograph at the ballpark—I try to kneel down, look them in the eye, and make a genuine connection. I know those little moments will stay with someone.

On the baseball eld, my teammates and I get to know each other as people outside of the game. We have dinner with our families or catch a basketball game. That connection and understanding make us stronger teammates.

As ALL RISE continues to grow, I can see the power of personal connection in our work, too. Our book club doubled in size this summer. At our Pro-Camp, I worked with hundreds of young athletes to sharpen their baseball and softball skills. And when we award Mini-Grants multiple times each year, we don’t just send a check—we build partnerships, helping organizations to expand their networks and strengthen their impact. They become part of the ALL RISE family.

The ALL RISE team believes people will always remember how you made them feel. Take a moment to really listen—to your kids, your coworkers, your neighbors, or even someone you’ve just met. Give them your full attention for #Just5Minutes. I believe you will see just how powerful those small moments of care and connection can be.

It's a Big Deal to Follow Aaron's “Lead to Read”!

• Reading & Literacy • Education

We just closed the books on the 2025 ALL RISE Summer Book Club. Reading and Literacy is one of the seven ALL RISE Comprehensive Components – and students certainly came through with enthusiasm and commitment!

This year 662 students – K through 12th Grade – chose a book from our “book list” and submitted a report! This was an increase of more than 25% from 2024. All ages were encouraged to participate – even the young ones who needed help, like Theo, a second grader in NY. He read Contenders by Traci Sorell and reported, “I love baseball and admire Aaron Judge so much. He's my hero.” He tried reading the book independently and asked, “Will you ask Aaron Judge if it's okay for my mommy to help me read?”

Tristan, a 6th grader from New York spoke about his book choice, Hands by Torrey Maldonado. “The lesson I learned is focus on the positivity in your life and invest in your talent because doing this will only bene t you in the long run and reward you with a bright future.”

Once again, we had readers from the East Coast to the West Coast – 27 states actually – as well as Canada.

One California student, Abhimanyu, an 11th grader, read Everything We Never Had by Randy Ribay. Abhimanyu shared, “I could

While I’m not quite as conscious, I do aim to remain clean and tidy, especially during a global pandemic, just as Enzo did. Furthermore, I have many friends but only one best friend in whom I con de when I have a deep secret or an embarrassing problem. Enzo’s character resonated with me the most throughout the book.”

Individualized ALL RISE Summer Book Club certi catessigned by Aaron – are sent to the school principal of participating students. We value the connection we have with these student readers, as well as the teachers and principals who lead and encourage them. Principals should expect to receive certi cates by the end of October. To the parents and guardians: if your child(ren) has not received the certi cate by November 7th, please check with their teacher, school secretary and principal before contacting us at programs@aaronjudgeALLRISEfoundation.org.

We thank Nancy Hackett, a valued member of the ALL RISE Family and retired educator, for reading all the reports submitted by the students. Also, we give a ‘shout out’ to Penguin Publishing Group for their suggestions on this year’s book selections. Plans are already being made for the 2026 Summer ALL RISE Book Club. Stay tuned!

empowerment. Joining EDsnaps gave me more than just technical knowledge; it gave me a community and con dence. It started this journey in 2020 during my senior year of high school, also the middle of COVID-19, so the program was held virtually. I was nervous, as my main interest was in technology, and I wasn’t sure if I’d connect with the broader STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) focus of the program. The minute I started, that uncertainty disappeared. Dr. Susanne Cappendijk (“Dr. C.”), the director and CEO of EDsnaps, made me feel welcomed and supported. We explored STEM, as well as leadership, communication, and creative thinking skills. A highlight was getting the chance to interview inspiring guest speakers—pushing me out of my comfort zone in the best way.

I was invited to return as a counselor—stepping into a leadership role. I had the amazing opportunity to design and lead my own workshops. Although public speaking was something that I avoided, I gained con dence and purpose by presenting what I created. After a few years as a counselor, I became the Assistant Director, and

incredibly proud of the leadership growth I’ve experienced that has shaped my journey. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is watching the students discover new passions in STEM. I’ve helped them build robots, conduct science experiments and attend eye-opening eld trips that sparked curiosity. Even more impactful is how this program empowers young women, encouraging them to step into male-dominated STEM elds with con dence. Just like the students, I continue to learn more every summer.

In early 2025, I joined the EDsnaps Board of Directors. EDsnaps helped me grow into a leader - and now I get to help others do the same. I’m passionate about our mission to transform STEM learners into STEM leaders and am excited to contribute to its future.

A Thanksgiving Family Tradition

• Health & Well-being • Community Involvement

“The Run and Walk Against Hunger, presented by the Aaron Judge ALL RISE Foundation, is one of my favorite family traditions. While it can be tough waking up early and going out in the cold, it is so rewarding. Every year, our family participates in the walk, with my husband often donning his turkey costume. Now that our kids have fallen in love with running, they participate in the 5K. I can’t keep up with them, but I continue to walk and cheer them on! When extended family comes to town, they also join in on the fun. The Run and Walk Against Hunger is a great way to spend time with them, while giving back to the community. So, rise and shine! Throw that turkey in the oven and join our family in supporting the Emergency Food Bank’s Run and Walk Against Hunger in Stockton on Thanksgiving Day.”

CLASSROOM LEADERSHIP

SEPT. 17

Leadership in the Classroom Brooklyn Gardner and Brian German Dunlop shared wisdom well beyond their years. The discussion opened with their de nitions of leadership, and both knocked it out of the park.

“Leadership doesn’t have to be big and loud. It lives in the small gestures, such as checking in on someone,” Brian told the audience, which included 14 classrooms of 5th- and 6th-grade students. Brooklyn added, “A leader takes people to places they can’t go alone.”

The wide-ranging conversation touched on the importance of empathy, listening to others, and nding community in new and unfamiliar surroundings. While Brian and Brooklyn may be young, the life lessons they shared were valuable for people of all ages.

Don’t miss our next Master Class on November 18th, when we’ll explore Leadership in the Digital World!
