TEAM REPORT

SPRING 2025

Baseball, Books and Lifelong Learning Just as a building needs a strong, solid foundation, we have built the ALL RISE Foundation on a strong Mission “to inspire children and youth to become responsible citizens by engaging them in activities that encourage them to reach unlimited possibilities”. Backing up this Mission, we live by comprehensive components that guide us as we make decisions on our initiatives and programs. Note that in many of the stories in our Team Report, you will see a ‘baseball mit’, along with the comprehensive component that aligns with that story. This combination has solidified the strength and purpose of all that we do as we continue to grow and engage with our youth. When new opportunities come to us, a simple review of our mission and these comprehensive components remind us to pause, reflect where the opportunity fits, and make good, quality decisions. Reading and Literacy, one of our comprehensive components, has become an area where we continue to grow and are committed to developing life-long learners through inspiring programs that resonate with students. One inspiring program is the ALL RISE Summer Book Club, set to begin June 3rd. The Book Club was launched in the summer of 2023 with approximately 150 readers and tripled in size in 2024! The 2025 Summer Book Club begins in June, and we ask you to share this great summer activity with the students in your family and circle of friends. We need your help to reach our goal of 600 readers! Books have been selected for the various grade levels, and details can be found on page 3. The majority of our programs and initiatives are held in three regions, San Joaquin County, California, where Aaron grew up; Fresno County, California where Aaron attended college, and Bronx, New York, home of your beloved Yankees. We recently hosted virtual author visits at schools in both California and New York. These virtual author visits are not only educational but encouraging for the students. We look forward to recognizing and celebrating students at the next Bronx Education All-Star Day (BEAD) at Yankee Stadium, and hosting the Aaron Judge ALL RISE ProCamp in the Bronx this summer. Aaron Judge ALL RISE Foundation Day was celebrated at a

Fresno State Bulldog baseball game in April. Past Mini-Grant recipients from this region were invited to enjoy an afternoon of baseball while meeting and connecting with each other and the Foundation board members and team members. We will host a similar event with the Stockton Ports on Saturday, July 26th for San Joaquin region recipients. Details of past, and upcoming events can be found on pages 3 and 4. Through all the planning of events and initiatives, we are certainly grateful to all who support and encourage us. The ALL RISE Executive Board has laid out the direction, and our Marketing Team works hard to keep you informed and involved. To learn more, follow us on all social media platforms and visit us at AaronJudgeALLRISEfoundation.org. We encourage you to find areas where you can engage with us, and together we can encourage youth to reach unlimited possibilities.

Judge’s CHAMBERS We walk by faith, not by sight – 2 Corinthians 5:7

Early Lessons About Leadership • Leadership Development • Character Development • Health & Well-being

I can remember lying on the living room floor reading books about the Berenstain Bears when I was just old enough to sound out words. Each book was a new adventure that gave me practice at independent reading and provided a lesson about how to treat people. I still remember the subtle reminders about how to be a good friend, why it was important to do your chores, and even a few lessons about leadership. Mama, Papa and Sister Bear became friends. Later, once I was in school, my mom would make a point of coming into my classroom each year to read The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, to our class. She also gifted each student a small apple ornament to take home. I beamed with pride watching my mom share a story with my classmates, knowing they would take home their ornaments and tell their parents about the book and the lesson of unconditional love. As my dedication to baseball grew, I started exploring mental conditioning books and non-fiction, some that I still read today. In the Minor Leagues, Mind Gym by Gary Mack, helped me improve my thought process at the plate. Not only do I continue to find joy in reading, I believe it makes me a better friend, teammate, leader, and now father. The ALL RISE Mission to help youth reach their unlimited possibilities begins with the gift of reading. As our Book Club gears up for its third year, we are looking to triple our reach with our carefully curated grade-level book lists that allow parents to read to their little ones and older students to find fiction or nonfiction books that inspire them to read for fun. As we head into summer, I hope you will continue to cheer on the Yankees, but I also hope you will share our book lists with the youth in your lives. With your help, we can ensure that children everywhere improve their literacy and fulfill their dreams like I have.

Students at Davis School are excited about their own copy of When the Stars are Scattered!

Students Inspired by Authors Students at Davis Elementary school in Stockton virtually welcomed into their classroom published authors Omar Mohamed and Victoria Jamieson, who presented When the Stars are Scattered. This inspiring book tells a powerful story of resilience, hope and courage. Author Matt de la Pena read his book – Last Stop on Market Street – to three schools in New York, and one class Elk Grove, California. Kindness, empathy, gratitude and finding joy in unexpected places were found in the pages of Matt’s award-winning book. In addition to the inspiration the students received, the ALL RISE Foundation sent each student home with their own copy of the book shared during their virtual author visit. We are thankful to Matt, Omar and Victoria for inspiring our future leaders! The smiles that say “Thank you”

RISING UP

Congratulations to our February ’25 Mini-Grant Recipients ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF STOCKTON SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

is a 52-year member- and volunteer-driven organization that is highly motivated to reach their community through their philanthropic programs. Last year, they provided new clothing to 856 underprivileged and unhoused children from 101 schools. The ALL RISE Mini-Grant will allow Assistance League to broaden their program to provide for more children. Through this program, each child receives a pair of jeans; hoodie sweatshirt; t-shirts; underwear and socks. In addition, children receive a packet of personal hygiene items, a packet of school supplies and gift cards. These essentials help fill a tremendous need for the children of our community.

ACTS FOUNDATION FRESNO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

provides food, housing and education to under-served individuals in the Central Valley. The ALL RISE Mini-Grant will support the expansion of the mentorship program to accommodate the growing number of youths participating in their programs. These mentors work closely with six-eight youth each, providing individualized support and guidance during classes that include educational workshops and activities aimed at enhancing academic skills and knowledge. These workshops cover study skills, time management, homework help and career exploration, giving students the necessary tools and resources to excel.

JUST WRITE COMMUNITY PROJECT BRONX COUNTY, NEW YORK

uses the power of writing to uplift youth, community members and families. Their program, Write Now! is designed to train young creatives to be authors. Students participate in writing workshops and team building activities where they learn about community and expression, strengthen their writing skills and expand their vocabulary. The ALL RISE Mini-Grant will allow youth and mentors to convene for teambuilding and writing workshops, and purchase games, creative supplies and writing materials to make the sessions more interactive and engaging.

All funds donated for the Aaron Judge ALL RISE Mini-Grant Program go directly to children and youth programs in San Joaquin County, California; Fresno County, California; and Bronx County, New York, that support ongoing citizenship and education development.
