1911: Time of Trip
Le premier chronophage breveté par Heuer était initialement conçu pour des avions ou des automobiles. Le modèle Time of Trip dispose de grandes aiguilles au centre du cadran, indiquant l’heure sur un diamètre de 11 cm, et sa taille convient à une installation sur n’importe quel type de tableaux de bord. Le plus petit jeu d’aiguilles réglé sur la position 12 heures indiquait la durée du voyage, ne dépassant pas 12 heures. En permettant aux pilotes de suivre et de mesurer la durée de leurs voyages, « Time of Trip » est devenu une légende technologique.
The first chronograph patented by Heuer was originally designed for aircrafts and automobiles. The Time of Trip model features large hands at the centre of the dial, indicating time on an 11-cm diameter, allowing the size to be suitable for installation on all types of dashboards. The smaller set of hands set on the 12 o’clock position indicated the duration of the trip, not exceeding 12 hours. The “Time of Trip” became a technological legend, allowing pilots to monitor and measure the duration of their trips.
