In a third party, independent clinical study, Balancing Cleansing Emulsion, demonstrated statistical significance in supporting a strengthened epidermal barrier to combat water loss for up to 8 hours.

*PROTOCOL: An independent clinical study of 21 subjects to assess trans-epidermal water loss after a single application of Balancing Cleansing Emulsion. Subjects represented females, ages 23-69. Study was conducted with a VapoMeter® instrument, which measures evaporation rate of water from skin. Lower evaporation rate values indicate a better skin barrier.

Microneedling Safety Study*

In a dermatologist-led, controlled microneedling safety study Balancing Cleansing Emulsion caused no irritation or sensitivity when used after 3 treatments, versus microneedling alone.

*PROTOCOL: A single center, controlled clinical study of 15 subjects to assess the safety of Balancing Cleansing Emulsion following 3 microneedling treatments performed over 57 days. Subjects represented females, ages 18-70, with Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV.

Post-Ablative Laser Tolerance**

In an independent clinical study, Balancing Cleansing Emulsion was proven gentle enough for use following a fractional CO2 laser treatment.

**PROTOCOL: A 28-day clinical study of 48 subjects to assess the tolerance of Balancing Cleansing Emulsion following a fractional CO2 resurfacing laser treatment. Subjects represented females, ages 20-63, with Fitzpatrick skin types I-III. Supported with the use of Soothing Ointment and Sunscreen + Primer SPF 30 during the study.
