Nestled along the Chao Phraya River on the Thonburi side of Bangkok, adjacent to King Rama VIII Memorial Park and below the iconic Rama VIII Bridge, SPATIAL CONTINUUM COMMUNITY CULTURAL &

CONTEMPORARY ART CENTER this Community Cultural and Contemporary Art Center serves as a dynamic hub for creativity, culture, and community. Designed to reflect the evolving nature of art and space, the architectural concept utilizes four square cubes, each rotated progressively from the first to the fourth, creating a striking interplay of form and function. The center is envisioned as a vibrant venue catering to diverse audiences, from local communities to international tourists. It accommodates a wide range of activities, including art and design exhibitions that showcase local and global talent, performances by artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, community-driven workshops and events fostering creativity, and screenings of independent and international films. This landmark project aspires to become a cultural beacon on Bangkok’s riverfront, celebrating tradition, modernity, and community in harmony.

Existing Community

This project aims to bring art and cultural center into the existing community, provide new places for residents' everyday activities, and connect the neighborhoods to the riverside region.

Artists & Performers Shops

The museum & cultural center settings allow artists and performers to showcase their performances and work fully in their designated spaces.

Owners, employees and staffs of museum shop, artwork stores, cafe’ and restaurants will also become the users of the park and the cultural community center.

Daily Visitors Students Tourists

The museum and cultural center is where students may come to study new things, and it will eventually become a learning center where students can obtain more experience, inspiration, and knowledge.

The CCCAC wi11 serve as a new city attraction and landmark for Thai and international visitors, elevating Thai people’s lifestyle and introducing traditional and modern Thai cultures to tourists.

SPATIAL CONTINUUM: A sequence, or progression of space varying by minute degrees

The progression of art, cultures and communities of Bangkokians and Thailand over the time potrayed by architectural form.

The most simple and basic embodiment of space, cubes accommodating programs are placed on the site.

Rotate the cubes by 15 degrees on the horizontal axis, creating a continuum shift in orientation.

Applying the same system to the vertical axis, forming a volumetric progression in both elevation and interior spaces.
