As a Chartered Member of IOSH with 14 years’ consulting experience, Oliver has worked with a diverse portfolio of clients and has an intricate understanding of health and safety. Starting his career in the construction industry, he now oversees 15 consultants, offering an extra layer of technical expertise whilst remaining very much hands-on. Oliver works closely with some of Ellis Whittam’s largest clients, including a 700-employee leisure resort, and has an uncanny ability to be adopted into the organisation as a surrogate health and safety manager. His specialisms include behavioural and cultural change and building strategies to support internal competence.

Roy Wilders has been in the Safety & Health Industry since the mid 90’s and took up the role of Registered Safety Supplier Scheme Manager in early 2019. The Registered Safety Supplier Scheme seeks to improve the quality of PPE, Safety equipment and services as well as the capability of economic operators in the UK Occupational Health and Safety Market, whilst eliminating unsafe, non -compliant and illegal safety products and services, helping to keep people safe and healthy while they are at work. During Roy’s time with the BSIF so far, he has helped evolve the scheme to provide more specific audit capabilities outside of the PPE arena as well as managing testing and assessment of Non-Member PPE in the marketplace. Roy Wilders began his career with Arco progressing through various Sales and Management roles in the business. He has also held Management roles with Parker Merchanting and roles in Sales with PPE Manufacturers Microgard & Lakeland. During his time at Lakeland Roy took on responsibility for Product Development and CE Certification Management, which took him around the world to develop PPE solutions for multiple hazards. Roy also spent time with Berendsen (now Elis) as a Technical Product Manager, supporting the sales teams and end users with launderable protective clothing solutions.
