WIP, Inventory and Order Position is updated daily allowing the planners to plan with up to date data and react to changes in supply and demand quickly with an accurate operational plan Strategic planning is made possible with a three year horizon considering known and forecasted demand and detailed planning allowing for the identification and implementation of objective investment opportunities where they are needed.

Jonathan Ogg is a Senior Consultant at sofco who specialises in working with Food and Consumer Packaged Goods, Specialist Retail and General Manufacturing customers. His role is mainly working in the Pre-Sales Environment, but he has also spent a significant amount of time on Project Delivery with customers such as Liz Earle, Signet Jewelers and Scapa. Prior to joining sofco in Jonathan worked for over 7 years in a similar roles for Supply Chain Planning and ERP vendors and before that spent 17 years working in industry in different roles in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.

Key to their brand is ensuring availability for their most in-demand products. Working with Zencargo, SLG were able to take control of origin operations to manage costs and drive more revenue.

Challenge SLG struggled with managing their supply chain reactively. Working with a range of disconnected systems, they were unable to get the visibility they needed on upcoming shipments. This left their supply chain team rushing to organise shipments as they became ready, resulting in inefficient load fill and high workloads in peak period.

Solution Working with Zencargo, SLG moved all their purchase orders and suppliers onto Zencargo’s cloud platform. This created accountability across the supply chain, as well as the visibility to plan loads in advance. In addition, Zencargo’s operations team worked with SLG to manage purchase orders from placing all the way to their DC.

Results With advanced visibility, SLG were able to plan orders and loads strategically, improving container fill rates and enabling them to secure capacity in advance at better rates. For their retail customers, they were able to provide advanced visibility to improve customer experience and product availability even in peak season.
