Introduction to the Accelerated Loss of Mains Change Programme Changes to the electricity network Distribution Code mean that those who own or operate electricity generators in the UK may have to make an important and mandatory change to their generation equipment. • • •

Electricity generators must be compliant with the new regulations by 1 September 2022. Funding is available via the Accelerated Loss of Mains Change Programme to help generator owners become compliant with the regulations. Generator owners must act fast – the deadline to apply for funding is 10 May 2022. By updating your equipment, you will be complying with mandatory regulations and futureproofing your power assets. Widespread compliance will make the electricity network more resilient and support the wider push to net zero.

Paul is the Programme Manager representing SSEN within the Accelerated Loss of Mains Change Programme (ALoMCP). As Chair of the Customer Support and Delivery Assurance Workgroups Paul is responsible for ensuring the ALoMCP supports its participants and delivers the system benefits intended.

SSEN is a Distribution Network Operator and Transmission Network Operator, their electricity distribution and transmission networks carry electricity to over 4.1 million homes and businesses across the north of the Central Belt of Scotland and also Central Southern England.
