20 20 REPORT: ASOUSA CONNECT 2.0 DIGITAL STRATEGY

REPORT: ASOUSA CONNECT 2.0 DIGITAL STRATEGY The ASOUSA CONNECT Digital Strategy is a virtual meeting - space where alumni of the different programs sponsored by the United States Embassy in Colombia, shared experiences, knowledge and talents through virtual participation following the strategy ASOUSA CONNECT previously implemented, with the intention of reconnecting and positioning ASOUSA as the interaction channels for all Alumni in Colombia. This proposal had 4 approaches to energize the network and promote the participation of

APPROACH NO.1 VIRTUAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP FAIR The virtual entrepreneurship fair, was an open invitation to entrepreneurs of the ASOUSA network. They shared their initiatives and projects with the aim of promoting and boosting their economies through the ASOUSA platform. The alumni interested interacted through a Facebook live session with the audience and showed their entrepreneurship initiatives. At the end, a virtual certificate of appreciation and

APPROACH NO.2 TALENT SHOWCASE A talent contest was an excellent excuse to interact with alumni network. The contest was conducted during the thanksgiving meeting agreed with Rachel Wilson the alumni coordinator, having a winner. the alumni had the opportunity to participate and share their artistic and cultural gifts through 1-minute videos or photo that were presented during the meeting. The participants of the thanksgiving voted and chose one winner who was Yosa Trillos, alumni from Bucaramanga. She

branded ASOUSA (a jaacket, personalized agenda and a bagpack) initially the prize was planned for one
month
of
an
english
advance
course
with
the
binational
center
but
the
winner
won
the
participation for the CCIP and she was not going to be in the city, that is why with Rachel Wilson agreed to deliver the item mentioned before. the winner will get her prize at the end of december 2020.
APPROACH NO. 3 FACEBOOK LIVE TALKS Outstanding alumni in various topics and diverse programs were invited to share interesting information about

Guatemala and Argentina participated in this talk that took place as a Facebook live session. These sessions lasted about 40 to 60 minutes. The objective was to reach guests from various programs, and regions. Each alumni was connected from their homes using a zoom pro account, which was linked to ASOUSA's Facebook live channel. The aim is to boost the association's Facebook account and invite other alumni in Colombia and abroad to share their knowledge through this international networks of Global Exchange Network GEN. A virtual certificate of appreciation and participation in this space was sent.

One
important connections to highlight was the fact that after Francisco Abad participation in the session he invited to Youth Colombian Leaders foundation to nominate 7 entrepreneurs to the Global Change Maker boot camp 2020, where 4 alumni (3 AWE and 1 MLK) participated in this training promoted by CODEIS. APPROACH NO. 4 I AM ASOUSA AND YOU? With Promotional material (200 T-shirts, 200 caps) sent through the Binational Centers to reach out some alumni and cheer them to participate and sharing their experiences in the U.S programs in I AM ASOUSA videos with the intention to recognize and invite alumni to maintain a close relationship with ASOUSA events and the promotion of the different programs in Colombia and keep the connection with the association. 42 alumni participated in the videos. The binational centers from Armenia and Cali

Following the intention to connect and keep all the ASOUSA network updated with the exchange programs sponsor by the U.S Department of State and from the International Echange Alumni, we got according to Facebook a fan badges for keeping active, sharing their videos and post in the ASOUSA Facebook page.
