Hempstead Town Councilman Dennis Dunne, Sr., Councilman Chris Carini and Town Clerk Kate Murray presented a commemorative sign to the Bellmore-Merrick Girls Bowling Team on being named the 2021 Nassau County Champions. Town officials visited Calhoun High School on April 21, 2021 to congratulate the bowling champs, including Beth Delles, Kylie Persampire, Lauren Demarco, Caitlin Snoddy, Shannon Lisie and Marissa Anselom. Also attending were coach Keri Cinelli, Assistant Principal Mark Melkonian and Principal Nicole Hollings.
