YOKOTA ITT TOUR POLICY

Yokota ITT tours are open to all SOFA status members/ DoD Card Holders, including active duty military, U.S. DoD civilians, retired military and their dependents. Sponsored guests of eligible customers may participate on ITT tours. Customers must be 18 or older to sign up for ITT tours. Participants 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Local National Employees and JASDF members may sign up for tours starting 7 days prior to the tour date on nonSOFA eligible tours.

Eligible customers are permitted to purchase up to ten tickets. For special tours, customers are permitted to purchase up to five tickets.

Please sign up for tours in person at the ITT office. Reservations over the phone or on Yokota FSS Travel Facebook Page are not accepted.

Please notify ITT staff of any special needs you or your family may have (e.g., wheelchair accessibility, physical or health disabilities, etc.)

Payment for the cost of the tour is due at the time of reservation. The ITT office accepts U.S. dollars, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and U.S. checks. Japanese yen is not accepted. Certain trips offer payment plans and will be indicated on the tour description.

Yokota ITT is not responsible for any accidents due to personal negligence or misconduct on tours. Yokota ITT is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings during tours.

Tour itineraries may change due to traffic and/or other uncontrollable circumstances. The itinerary may also change prior to departure. In the case of itinerary changes, the ITT office will notify passengers registered for the trip as soon as possible.

Please read the brochure’s tour descriptions thoroughly. There will be rest stops on all tours lasting over two hours. It is recommended that you bring enough yen to cover the cost of snacks and meals. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure time to allow yourself enough time to check in and find a seat. The bus will depart promptly on schedule.

Buses for all ITT tours depart from the parking lot between the Enlisted Club and building 2000. We ask that all passengers return to the same seat taken at the beginning of the tour and return to the bus on time as directed by the tour guide.

Parents must ensure their children are well behaved and do not disturb other passengers. Listening and/or watching videos, music, etc. is permitted with the use of headphones. Please refrain from talking on the phone while seated on the bus.

Yokota ITT will make every reasonable effort to accommodate group seating when requested. However, due to seating and ticket availability, this may not always be possible.

YOKOTA TOUR WAIT-LIST POLICY

A waiting list is available for tours that have reached maximum capacity. If there are any cancellations, ITT staff will contact those on the waiting list at most three times via phone. If there is no answer, ITT will move on to the next person on the list. Customers are responsible for making sure that the contact information provided is correct.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

All tour cancellations due to inclement weather will be determined by 4 p.m. the day before the scheduled tour.

Customers will be notified by 6 p.m. the day before.

For multi-day trips where inclement weather causes an overnight delay, customers will be responsible to pay the associated additional cost.

YOKOTA TOURS REFUND POLICY

• One-Day Tours

Refunds are provided for cancellations made four or more business days prior to the tour date. Cancellations made after four business days will not be refunded.

• Overnight Tours

Please see the tour brochure for the cancellation policy. In case of a TDY, TAD, exercise or recall, a written document (e.g., TDY orders or letter from squadron commander/first sergeant) must be presented prior to departure for a full refund. In the event that Yokota ITT has already purchased admission tickets, customers will have to pay for the ticket cost regardless of the reason for cancellation. Please have receipt ready at the time of refund. Refunds cannot be given 30 days after the event date.

ALCOHOL POLICY

Smoking and alcoholic beverages are not allowed on ITT Tour buses.

Please notify ITT staff of any special needs you or your family may have (e.g. wheel chair accessibility, physical or health disabilities, allergies, etc.)

Tour cost includes transportation and Kannon admission. Lunch will be at the Kawaba Dennen road side station. This tour involves a significant amount of walking.

Fukiware Waterfall, located in northern Gunma Prefecture, is celebrated as one of Japan’s 100 most beautiful waterfalls.

Spanning nearly 100 feet in width and forming a striking U-shape, water cascades dramatically from three directions. Though smaller in scale, it’s affectionately known by locals as the “Niagara Falls of Asia.”

Take a leisurely stroll along the riverside trail and soak in the breathtaking views of the waterfall and its lush natural surroundings—a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers alike. Next, visit the impressive Takasaki Byakue Kannon, or WhiteRobed Kannon, a towering statue of the Buddhist goddess of mercy. Standing 137 feet tall on the grounds of Jigan-in Temple in Takasaki, this serene figure houses nine interior levels connected by 146 steps. Along the way, you’ll encounter 20 statues of Buddhist deities. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the ninth level—around shoulder height—where you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of the city below and the surrounding mountains.

This tour includes bus transportation and admission to the German Village. Attractions are “Pay as you go”.

Enjoy the magical illumination of “Tokyo German Village,” It is voted as one of 3 greatest winter illumination in the Kanto region. This park is lit with over 2 million LED lights and the theme is different year after year. Built on a 650-meter island surrounded by 360º of water, Umihotaru is a highway service area that stands five levels

underwater tunnel in the world.

Mitsui Outlet Park in Kisarazu is a large outlet mall located on the Chiba side of Tokyo Bay. Here you’ll find select high quality products from famous manufacturers and brands both foreign and domestic at outlet prices. This outlet mall boasts the most stores in Japan at over 300 stores. Not only is it a great place to shop, but there are also plenty of rest spots, including a beautiful and natural garden terrace, lounges, and cafés.

UENO ZOO AND PARK

Ueno Park is Tokyo’s largest park and the oldest in Japan, known for its cultural landmarks, seasonal beauty, and wide-open spaces.

From November to early December, the trees turn brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red, creating a stunning autumn backdrop. In spring, the park is equally famous for its thousands of cherry blossom trees, making it one of Japan’s most celebrated flower-viewing spots.

Ueno Zoo, Japan’s oldest zoo, has expanded greatly over the years and continues to lead the way in animal care and conservation. For museum lovers, the park is home to several major institutions, including the Tokyo National Museum, National Science Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, and the National Museum of Western Art.

Please bring extra yen for lunch, snacks, and any museum admissions. And don’t forget your camera to capture the memories of this amazing trip!

Tokyo DisneySea, unique to Japan, is a one-of-a-kind Disney Park themed around the myths and legends of the sea. The park is divided into seven immersive “ports of call,” including Mediterranean Harbor, Mysterious Island, and Arabian Coast.

Guests can enjoy over 30 attractions, breathtaking stage shows, and spectacular harbor performances. Meet beloved Disney friends like Duffy, Mickey, and Minnie as you explore the magical waterfronts!

Tour cost includes bus transportation, herb garden admission and lunch buffet. You may want to bring a sweater or jacket because the weather may get chilly at the 5th station of Mt. Fuji.

*If the tour is unable to reach the 5th station, the tour will go to Oshino Village instead.

Marvel at the stunning beauty of Shiraito Falls, named for its delicate streams that resemble “white threads” cascading down the rock face.

Recognized as one of Japan’s top 100 waterfalls, this picturesque site offers a truly memorable view. Next, immerse yourself in the colors and scents of the Fuji Herb Garden, home to over 200 varieties of seasonal herbs and flowers—perfect for a relaxing stroll any time of year. Don’t forget to stop by the café or browse the gift shop for a unique souvenir.

You’ll also enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the Fuji Highland Resort Hotel, featuring a wide selection of Western, Italian, and Japanese dishes. Afterward, the tour continues up the Subaru Line to Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station, where you can take in breathtaking views of Japan’s most iconic volcano. Be sure to bring your camera—this is a day full of unforgettable scenery and experiences.

The Battles of Kawanakajima were a series of conflicts during Japan’s Sengoku period between Takeda Shingen of Kai Province and Uesugi Kenshin of Echigo Province, fought from 1553 to 1564 over control of the Kawanakajima plain. Ultimately, the battles were inconclusive, and neither Shingen nor Kenshin was able to establish control over the region. The Battles of Kawanakajima have become one of the most celebrated stories in Japanese military history, symbolizing chivalry and heroism, and have been depicted in epic literature, paintings, woodblock prints, and films. Today, Fuefuki City honors Shingen’s legacy with an annual festival featuring samurai parades with armored warriors, drum performances, and reenactments of scenes from the Battles of Kawanakajima.

Before the festival we’ll visit Mars Yamanashi Winery for free wine tasting and a tour of the facility.

The Dreadful Labyrinth-Jikyu General Hospital Haunted House requires an additional separate fee. Also required separate fees for Fujiyama Walk, Fujiyama Slider, Phantom Theater and any other designated by the park.

Kamukura is famous for the second tallest bronze Buddha statue in Japan and a number of other iconic temples, shrines, and many old artistic treasures. Kamakura lies at the neck of the Miura Peninsula on the shore of Sagami Bay. It shows the high degree of prosperity that was present during the 12th and 13th centuries when Kamakura was the seat of the Shogunate Government.

Enoshima Island attracts visitors with its winding pathways that lead to ancient temples, lush botanical gardens, museums, parks, scenic overlooks, and a modern lighthouse crowning the island. On clear days, you can enjoy the classic view of Mt. Fuji, often depicted in traditional Japanese art. The island is divided into a lively yacht harbor and a forested hill, the latter accessible only on foot or by escalator. Scattered across the island are several shrine buildings collectively known as Enoshima Shrine. Along the route to the Iwaya Caves—and down charming side streets—you’ll find a variety of restaurants and shops to explore.

Sunshine City, Tokyo’s original “city within a city,” centers around the 240-meter Sunshine 60 skyscraper. The complex offers shops, restaurants, entertainment, and the Sunshine Prince Hotel, plus attractions like a planetarium, museums, indoor theme parks, and the popular Sunshine Aquarium. Shops and restaurants are open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Sunshine Aquarium occupies the top three floors and features around 80 tanks with 37,000 creatures across 750 species. Highlights include the Sunshine Lagoon, the Jellyfish Tunnel, and the Sunshine Aqua Ring, where visitors can see sea lions, penguins, and other animals swimming overhead. The aquarium also houses rare marine life such as manta rays, sunfish, and deep-water spider crabs, as well as non-marine animals like anteaters, flamingos, iguanas, and a lemur. Additional attractions include shows, themed cafés, and gift shops.

NIKKO EDO WONDERLAND
