Post-operative Care Tips To avoid potential problems, please follow below instructions. DO

Do apply the eye drops as prescribed by your surgeon.
•
Do wear the rigid plastic eye shield given to you over the operated eye when you sleep for at least the first week after surgery. This helps to prevent accidental injury to your eye during sleep.

Please leave the pad in place if you are instructed to start eye drops until reviewed by your doctor the next day.
DO NOT •
Avoid vigorous coughing or sneezing.
•
Avoid crowded/dusty places.
Do wipe off any discharge from your operated eye with either clean cotton ball moistened with cool boiled water or a clean piece of soft tissue paper.
•
Avoid carrying children who may accidentally hurt your operated eye.
•
Avoid sudden bending down of head.
Do use pair of sun-glasses if this makes your eye more comfortable, especially when outdoors.
•
Do not rub or injure your operated eye.
•
Do not allow water or soap to enter your operated eye during the first one month after surgery.
•
Do not swim during the first month after surgery.
Please wash your hair in salon to avoid water entering into your eye.
