Fundal Fluorescein and Indocyanine Green Angiography Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA) is a special photographic test to examine the inner layers of the eye. The test will help your doctor to diagnose and monitor your eye condition. Procedures are as follows: 1. To instill eye drop to enlarge (dilate) the pupils. 2. To obtain baseline photos with a fundus camera, and to scan with an imaging machine before injection of a yellow dye (fluorescein sodium). 3. To insert a small removable plastic tube into a vein to allow injection of the dye by the medical doctor. 4. A series of scans will be taken over 10 to 20 minutes with the imaging machine to examine the blood flow and dye leakage in your eyes.

The entire procedure may take about 2 hours to complete. Please follow the instructions given by the staff.
