Desktop Ergonomics Tips for Computer Users Setting Up  Keep the top of the screen slightly below eye level and the screen parallel to your view angle.  Maintain good upright posture with your neck in neutral position and your lower back supported.  Keep shoulders relaxed with your elbows close to your sides.  Do not slouch or rest your weight on the armrest.

 Take brief breaks at least once in an hour to stretch and move the whole body. Points to Consider Lighting  Keep work surfaces well lit. Use lamps if necessary.  Position the monitor to avoid glare. Other accessories  Foot rest  Document holder

 Keep elbows about parallel to the floor.

 Keep wrist and fingers in mid-position and minimise movements from side to side and up & down.

Work Pace  Rotate between tasks to break up time spent on computer.

 Keep your keyboard and mouse at close reach.

 Take frequent breaks to move your joints and stretch.
