2025 Global Money Week

Global Money Week is an annual event aimed at raising awareness about responsible money management. It promotes financial education from an early age, particularly for children and adolescents, by developing skills for making sound financial decisions.

Global Money Week 2025 Theme

In 2025, Global Money Week will be celebrated from March 18 to March 24, under the theme: “Protect Your Money, Secure Your Future.”

This year’s theme focuses on safe money management and emphasizes the importance of adopting a responsible and informed approach to personal finances. It highlights the need to be aware of potential financial risks and to protect hard-earned money.

Common risks include financial fraud, phishing scams, online shopping scams, and data privacy threats such as identity theft. Young people are particularly vulnerable to these risks due to their limited financial literacy and experience.

Origins of Global Money Week

Global Money Week was established in 2012 by the International Network on Financial Education (INFE), a division of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The initiative aims to create a global awareness campaign focused on teaching children and young people essential financial concepts to help them develop skills for making informed financial decisions that impact their future.

It is supported by financial institutions, educational organizations, finance experts, and other companies, who work together to organize free digital educational activities. Since its inception, the campaign has reached over 53 million children and young people in 176 countries worldwide.

Money Management Tips

Here are some key recommendations for saving and using money efficiently:

• Create a savings plan: Set clear, realistic financial goals, such as education, buying a car or home, or taking a dream vacation.

• Make a detailed budget: Track your income and expenses monthly to manage your finances effectively.

• Set a savings target: Ideally, save 5-10% of your income each month based on your budget.

• Open a bank account: Choose a bank that offers financial products suited to your needs and goals.

• Avoid unnecessary expenses: Eliminate non-essential spending from your budget to maximize savings.

• Monitor your finances: Regularly review your expenses and bank account transactions to adjust your budget as needed.

How is Global Money Week Celebrated?

During Global Money Week, free financial education resources will be available for children, young people, and adults. Through interactive and engaging activities, participants will learn about money management, the importance of saving, and essential skills for financial success.

The event features fairs, workshops, conferences, podcasts, live broadcasts, and other events, all designed to promote financial literacy and responsible money habits.

This is how the Consulate of

Dominican Republic in Miami

celebrated its 181st Anniversary of Independence!

Miami, FL – The Consulate General of the Dominican Republic in Miami made history with an unforgettable celebration of Dominican Independence, marking a milestone in the Dominican Week Abroad initiative. The grand finale of this event was a spectacular Gala Dinner, led by Dr. Geanilda Vásquez, that ignited Dominican pride and emotion among attendees.

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

This historic celebration, held with the support of Grupo SID, saw the presence of high-level executives José Miguel Bonetti and Mariel López, as well as Celinés Toribio, Vice Minister for Dominican Communities Abroad and Director of INDEX, along with Richard Montilla from INDEX Miami. The evening took an emotional turn when, to the surprise and delight of the audience, Grammy-winning merengue artist Manny Cruz took the stage unexpectedly, leaving many guests in tears of joy.

Before the musical surprise, Geanilda Vásquez addressed the audience, emphasizing the government’s commitment to the diaspora and highlighting President Luis Abinader’s efforts in recognizing the contributions of Dominicans abroad.

“I am immensely happy to celebrate our Dominican identity with this vibrant diaspora in Miami, especially on the most significant national holiday—our Independence Day. This event holds even greater meaning as we commemorate it from foreign soil, thanks to the joint efforts of our consulate, the business sector, and government agencies,” Vásquez stated, visibly moved.

She also praised the Dominican community in Florida, recalling the efforts of the founding fathers of Dominican independence, as the country celebrated its 181st anniversary in February.

RECOGNIZING THE STRENGTH OF THE DIASPORA

Celinés Toribio, making her first public appearance with the Miami diaspora as Vice Minister of MIREX and Director of INDEX, reaffirmed her commitment to supporting Dominicans abroad through INDEX’s various programs.

The gala, held at the elegant EB Hotel, was hosted by renowned Dominican media personalities Luz García and Mariela Encarnación. The event brought together distinguished figures from the Dominican diaspora, including INDEX representative Soledad Cruz, who emphasized the collaborative efforts that made the celebration possible.

A STUNNING SURPRISE: MANNY CRUZ TAKES THE STAGE

One of the most unforgettable moments of the evening was when Manny Cruz, the Latin Grammy and Premio Lo Nuestro-winning merengue sensation, took the stage. The Miami-born Dominican artist captivated the audience, and emotions ran high when he kissed his mother, author Milagros Sánchez, as he performed one of his hits.

In recognition of his contributions to Dominican music, the Consulate honored Manny Cruz, along with merengue legend Aramis Camilo, for their artistic achievements and their role in promoting Dominican culture worldwide.

A STAR-STUDDED CELEBRATION

The event saw Dominican celebrities and influencers dancing to the electrifying rhythm of Manny Cruz and Aramis Camilo, including Amara La Negra, Lourdes Stephen, Robmariel Olea, Madellyn González from Univision, actress Wendy Regalado, and special guests such as Diario Las Américas director Ileana Lavastida and influencer Keiry Franco.

Before the spectacular dance party, the evening featured an exquisite dinner and a charity auction of an artwork depicting the Virgen de la Altagracia, which was won by Amara La Negra.

A CELEBRATION OF DOMINICAN IDENTITY

Dressed elegantly, with many wearing patriotic colors, attendees enjoyed iconic Dominican merengues performed by Manny Cruz and Aramis Camilo, who joined him on stage for an unforgettable closing performance.

In her final remarks, the Consul General expressed gratitude to Acroarte Florida, represented by José Rosario, as well as the entire consular and INDEX team, for organizing a flawless celebration. The night also featured the “Hora Loca”, a vibrant display of festive outfits and accessories in Dominican national colors.

A STRONG BUSINESS PRESENCE

Several prominent Dominican brands proudly sponsored the gala, including Crisol, Salami Estelar, Sky High Dominicana, Banreservas, Café Santo Domingo, Autoridad Portuaria, IDAC, and Miami Best Wheels, reinforcing the strong connection between the Dominican business sector and its diaspora.

The Dominican Independence Celebration in Miami was not just an event—it was a powerful testament to the pride, unity, and resilience of Dominicans abroad. A night filled with music, patriotism, and unforgettable moments, it set a new standard for honoring Dominican heritage in the diaspora.

The Future of Customer Engagement Is Here

AI Is Taking Over—Are You Ready?

The world is changing at an unprecedented pace. Artificial intelligence (AI) isn’t coming— it’s already here, revolutionizing industries and redefining how businesses operate. Whether you run a hotel, restaurant, law firm, medical clinic, or even a government agency, one thing remains constant: your customers expect fast, efficient, and seamless communication.

If your business still relies solely on human agents to handle calls, schedule appointments, qualify leads, and manage customer inquiries, you’re already behind. The reality is that AI-driven answering services like Chat Flow 360 are transforming customer interactions, ensuring that businesses not only survive but thrive in the AI era.

Why Chat Flow 360?

At Chat-Flow360.com, we provide cuttingedge AI answering services that don’t just handle calls—they prequalify clients, close pre-sales, schedule appointments, and provide real-time customer support. The best part? AI operates 24/7, never gets tired, never calls in sick, and never needs a coffee break.

It’s Not a Question of If—It’s a Question of When

By the end of this year, a massive percentage of businesses will have integrated AI into their teams. Those that fail to adapt will find themselves struggling to keep up. AI is no longer a futuristic concept—it’s a necessity for businesses that want to scale, improve efficiency, and boost customer satisfaction.

Industries Already Embracing AI

Some of the most competitive industries have already made the shift. Hotels use AI to handle bookings. Restaurants use it for reservations and order processing. Law firms use it to prequalify clients. Clinics rely on AI for appointment scheduling. Even government agencies have started implementing AI answering services. The writing is on the wall: AI isn’t replacing businesses—it’s making them smarter, faster, and more profitable.

Don’t Get Left Behind

The truth is, AI doesn’t wait for anyone. Businesses that fail to integrate AI answering services like Chat Flow 360 will lose customers to competitors who respond faster, engage better, and never miss a call.

If you’re serious about staying ahead, don’t wait until it’s too late. Visit Chat-Flow360.com and book a demo NOW. See firsthand how AI can transform your customer interactions, streamline operations, and help your business grow effortlessly.

Carlos Azuaje’s sculpture

“Origin”

by Carlos Azuaje A Profound Reflection on Creation and Existence

Currently on display at the Sculptures on the Lawn exhibit in front of the Orange County Administration Building, Carlos Azuaje’s Origin captivates visitors with its striking form and profound symbolism. The sculpture, a giant hand lifting a rock, explores the duality of creation—are we shaping the universe, or is it shaping us?

Inspired by Orlando’s history, Azuaje originally envisioned a hand holding an orange, symbolizing Florida’s origins. As the concept evolved, it took on a more universal meaning. The hand, painted as a star-filled cosmos, emerges from a rock, blurring the lines between the natural and the constructed. It holds another rock—perhaps a planet, an asteroid, or just stone—inviting viewers to contemplate existence, responsibility, and human impact on the world.

Technically, the sculpture masterfully combines epoxy cement over a metal structure, creating a balance between raw natural texture and precise geometric forms. The transition between these elements suggests evolution—how human intervention shapes the world around us.

Beyond its visual impact, Origin engages viewers on a philosophical level. It raises questions about creation, duality, and our role in the universe. The piece does not dictate meaning but invites interpretation: Are we holding up the universe, or is it holding us?

Origin is not just a sculpture—it is a conversation between art, poetry, and philosophy, leaving space for every viewer to find their own meaning.

Parenting Success FOR

As parents, we all want our children to be successful and live fulfilling lives. However, success doesn’t begin in adulthood—it starts from the moment a child is born. The foundation for success is built when parents are intentional in creating a culture that fosters excellence at home. This starts with establishing consistent routines that help children develop autonomy and responsibility as they grow, as well as give them a sense of security. It’s also important for parents to allow their children to face the consequences of their actions. Saving them from these consequences will only perpetuate immaturity.

Encouraging children to develop and cultivate their natural talents will help them become skilled at things they truly enjoy, giving them a sense of capability. Moreover, exposing them to enriching experiences can expand their dreams and shape their future aspirations. Alongside these practical steps, instilling faith and offering spiritual guidance provide them with a moral compass that will serve them throughout their lives.

By being intentional, supportive, consistent, and creating a faith-filled environment, parents can set their children on a path toward success—not just in their careers, but in becoming well-rounded, responsible, and self-motivated individuals.

TOWARDS ECOLOGICAL, BUSINESS, AND CORPORATE TOURISM

On December 29, 2024, the Ministry of Tourism and Punta Cana International Airport celebrated the arrival of the 11 millionth visitor, surpassing last year’s record of 10 million. This milestone positions the Dominican Republic as a leader in tourism relative to its population in the Americas.

While most visitors come for the beaches and cultural landmarks, reaching 20 million tourists will require diversifying into ecotourism, business tourism, and corporate tourism. Ecotourism boosts boutique hotels, rural stays, and local products, while business tourism attracts investors exploring opportunities in the country’s stable economy.

Existing ecotourism initiatives include Grupo Rizek’s “Cocoa Trail” and Rancho Don Rey near Los Haitises National Park. Mountain destinations like Constanza and Jarabacoa offer scenic landscapes, cool climates, and adventure experiences.

With leadership from the Ministry of Tourism and support from institutions like Unicaribe University, the country is preparing to expand business tourism in established hubs like Casa de Campo, Punta Cana, and Cap Cana, as well as emerging destinations like Pedernales. President Luis Abinader and Minister David Collado are committed to driving this new phase of tourism growth.

NEUROEDUCATION AND

Women’s Entrepreneurship

The Key to Growth and Equality

In a world that is constantly evolving, education stands as the driving force behind social and economic progress. For women, continuous learning and professional development have become essential tools for breaking barriers and fostering equality in the workplace and business world. In Latin American countries like the Dominican Republic, women have taken the lead in higher education, surpassing men in enrollment rates. According to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (MESCyT), 64% of university students in the Dominican Republic are women— a trend that is mirrored across the region. This educational shift has played a crucial role in expanding female participation in key economic sectors and entrepreneurship. However, the gender wage gap persists: in Latin America, women still earn an average of 17% less than men for the same roles, according to the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Neuroeducation: Learning as the Foundation for Entrepreneurship.

From a neuroscience perspective, learning is a fundamental process for human adaptation and evolution. Renowned neuroscientist Dr. Francisco Mora explains that the brain learns by forming connections and associations between experiences—a process that is significantly enhanced by emotion. According to Mora, "You can only truly learn what you love," emphasizing the critical role of passion and curiosity in education. Neuroeducation highlights the brain’s plasticity, meaning that learning is a lifelong process, constantly reshaping our knowledge and skills—an essential trait for entrepreneurs.

For women in business, this ability to adapt and embrace continuous learning becomes a major competitive advantage. Understanding the neuroscience of learning not only strengthens leadership and decision-making skills but also

enables female entrepreneurs to navigate rapidly changing markets more effectively. The emotional connection to learning fosters resilience, a crucial factor for those launching and sustaining a business in today’s dynamic environment.

Women, Entrepreneurship, and Education: A Cycle of Empowerment

The rise of female entrepreneurship in Latin America is directly linked to increased access to education and professional training. Women who invest in learning are not just opening doors for their own careers—they are also driving innovation and economic growth. However, structural barriers, such as the gender pay gap and unequal access to funding, continue to hinder progress.

Neuroeducation provides powerful tools to accelerate women’s empowerment. By understanding how the brain processes

learning and decision-making, women can refine their problem-solving abilities, strengthen emotional intelligence, and enhance their leadership skills. The challenge now is to integrate this knowledge into the business world, where education is recognized not just as a requirement but as a strategic advantage in building a more equitable society.

The future of women’s entrepreneurship in Latin America depends on education with a purpose—one that transforms, empowers, and creates opportunities. Because when a woman learns, she doesn’t just change her own life—she transforms entire communities.

G-LATINAS podcast

The First Podcast for Latina Women Entrepreneurs in Polk County

In this county, three women with unique stories and a common purpose joined forces to create G-Latinas Podcast, the first podcast for Latina women entrepreneurs in the region. This fresh and authentic space was born with the mission to share real stories, everyday anecdotes, and moments that inspire, connect, and bring smiles.

The story of G-Latinas Podcast is as special as its creators. Mariana Lev-singer, TV producer, and director of Atrévete Network, a community of Latina women she founded over three years ago—met Daniela Navarrete and Denisse Solís, two of the first members of the group, through this network. Over time, their connection grew, and during conversations about their lives, an idea emerged: “This could help so many women.” And that’s how G-Latinas Podcast was born.

“It all started as a casual chat between Daniela and me,” Mariana recalls. “We were talking about those impactful stories and thought, ‘Why not share them?’ Then we invited Denisse, and she jumped on board right away!”

Why “G-Latinas”?

The name reflects the essence of the podcast: lighthearted, fun, and adaptable to the shapes and colors of everyday life. It also has a playful word twist, inviting listeners to uncover a special meaning.

Business Success

The 5 C's of YOUR BLUEPRINT FOR GROWTH

Success in business isn’t luck—it’s strategy. Through years of experience, I’ve identified five key principles that set thriving businesses apart. These are the 5 Cs of Business Success: Believe, Create, Communicate, Connect, and Capitalize. Mastering these will take your business from survival mode to long-term success.

1. BELIEVE

The Foundation of Success

Every great business starts with an unshakable belief in its mission. If you don’t have confidence in your vision, no one else will. Your belief fuels persistence, and persistence turns ideas into reality.

2. CREATE

Turning Vision into Action

Ideas alone don’t build businesses—execution does. Create solutions that solve real problems, structure efficient systems, and innovate continuously. Success belongs to those who act.

3. COMMUNICATE

Make Your Brand Stand Out

A great product means nothing if no one knows about it. Your brand isn’t just a logo; it’s your message. Craft a compelling story, market strategically, and ensure your audience understands your value.

4. CONNECT

Build Relationships That Drive Success

Business thrives on trust and relationships. Whether with clients, partners, or mentors, meaningful connections open doors to new opportunities and growth.

5. CAPITALIZE

Convert Effort into Profit

A business without a financial strategy is just an expensive hobby. Price your offerings wisely, optimize costs, and ensure your business is not just growing but thriving sustainably.

A New Era of Leadership at HAPBWA

SWEARING-IN CEREMONY FOR THE NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS

ORLANDO CITY HALL HOSTS A NIGHT OF UNITY AND INNOVATION FOR WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS

In a ceremony filled with inspiration, unity, and a shared vision for the future, the Hispanoamericana Association of Women Entrepreneurs (HAPBWA) celebrated the swearing-in of its new board of directors at Orlando City Hall. This prestigious event marked the beginning of a new chapter under the leadership of Jackie Barboza, an outstanding Peruvian entrepreneur, who takes the helm as the organization’s new President.

In her powerful inaugural speech, Barboza emphasized unity and business innovation as the guiding principles of her leadership. She expressed her commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration, and driving economic growth within the Hispanic business community.

A STRONG TEAM FOR A STRONGER FUTURE

Supporting Barboza in this transformative journey is an exceptional team of dedicated professionals, each bringing their expertise and passion to HAPBWA’s mission:

Fabrina Laprea, an outstanding entrepreneur in the health sector, assumes the role of Vice President.

Linsy Diprieto takes charge of Development, focusing on expansion and impact.

Beatriz Andrekovich steps in as Secretary, ensuring smooth operations.

Aixa takes on the role of Treasurer, managing financial strategies.

Jeanette, as Director of Membership, will enhance community engagement.

Mayra La Paz, as Director of Public Relations and Communication, will lead outreach initiatives.

A COMMUNITY UNITED IN SUPPORT

The event gathered an array of political and community leaders, along with representatives from the HAPBYse Foundation, all coming together to endorse and celebrate this new leadership team. Judge Gisela Laurent, a distinguished figure of Dominican heritage, had the honor of officiating the swearing-in, adding a touch of prestige to the occasion.

RECOGNIZING LEADERSHIP AND LEGACY

The ceremony also served as a moment of gratitude and recognition. Matty Frías, the outgoing president and a highly respected leader, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the members for their unwavering support. She highlighted the extraordinary achievements of her tenure and paid tribute to the founding leaders of HAPBWA, including Gladys Casteleiro, Adolfina Mejía, and Ivan, whose vision laid the foundation for the organization’s success.

Additionally, a special recognition was awarded to Luis Martinez, the Hispanic Affairs representative of Orlando’s Mayor, for his continuous support and strong alliance with HAPBWA. This acknowledgment underscores the importance of partnerships in fostering professional women’s growth and success.

A FUTURE BUILT ON EXCELLENCE AND COLLABORATION

With 27 years of impact and empowerment, HAPBWA continues to stand as a pillar of strength for Hispanic women entrepreneurs. The newly appointed board is set to drive forward initiatives that will enhance opportunities, promote business excellence, and strengthen the network of professional women in Orlando and beyond.

The evening concluded with a blessing from Dr. Diana Mejía, symbolizing a prosperous journey ahead.

As HAPBWA embarks on this exciting new era, one thing is clear—the spirit of leadership, unity, and innovation will continue to thrive, shaping a brighter future for women entrepreneurs everywhere.
