MICHEALS’ MEMOIRS June 2022 Update

Dear Friends and Family, It’s time to celebrate this summer as more language communities have received God’s Word. More languages today have access to the Bible than ever before and more work is going on with active translation projects than ever before. Location of those needing Bible translation

Reaching The Goal - Barb’s Work

Scriptures translated as of May 2022

Yet, with a worldwide effort ongoing really since the beginning of time, much work remains to be done. That means the church must still work until all have heard!

Scriptures yet to be translated as of May 2022

As we partner together with Wycliffe and other groups engaged in Bible translation work, this work can and will be done. However, it is good to know where the last remaining languages exist so they can be reached. Here is where they are: 1|Page

Each year we have updated you on our work and we hope you realize that the summer is the busiest time for Barb’s work with Wycliffe. That’s because the summer is when most college students do internships. Some are college required internships, but most are young people exploring the possibility of service with Wycliffe long term. This summer Barb is sending 12 interns out to a number of locations around the world. Some have already left and others will soon leave and while we can’t share the locations of where they are going, we can say this generation of young people are willing to go to some of the most difficult places of the world! So, please pray for them as they head out and for Barb as she has to make all travel arrangements, handle their finances and connect them to locations of service. In addition to Interns going out, three Interns are coming back from their Internships. That means cleaning up all the loose ends regarding finances and doing debriefs with each person. This work coupled with a dozen Volunteers also going out, some as long-term Volunteers has kept Barb hopping! Please also pray for Barb as she does the debriefs and has to keep track of each person once they go!

Family Visiting Us This summer, our son Isaac, his wife Suzanne and son are coming from Germany to stay with us for 3 weeks. Our daughter Rachel, her husband Chris and four children are also coming at the same time for a week. Our grandson Ryan Mishler is coming too for a few days during his college break.

We look forward to spending time with our children and their families. Isaac and his family and Rachel and her family and Ryan will all be staying with us in our house. Our daughter Jenny and her family live near us so it will be a crazy time, but one we will really enjoy. Please pray for us then! (L-R) Suzanne, Ambrose and Isaac Micheals

We have made staying connected to our family a priority, but we are not sure when the next time we will all be together at one time. We do hope we have an opportunity to visit our daughter Maria and her family in Germany sometime this next year as their second son will be graduating from high school.
