World Vision Newsletter for Corporate Partnerships October 2019

World Vision salutes PBA for being One for Children! World Vision awarded the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) with the One For Children plaque of appreciation for its massive support to World Vision’s program for children. In the season’s final conference, PBA partners with World Vision through the campaign “Last 2 Minutes” where the prestigious basketball association pledges to donate P100 for every point scored by participating teams during the final two minutes of each game. Proceeds will go to the children, families and communities assisted by World Vision. Last October 20, 2019 during the halftime break of the PBA Governors’ Cup 2019 where teams Magnolia Hotshots and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel played, World Vision Executive Director Rommel V. Fuerte and Resource Development Director Jun Godornes presented the One for Children plaque to PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial, SMC Sports Director and Governor of Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel Alfrancis Chua, Magnolia Hotshots Governor Rene Pardo, San Miguel Beermen Governor Robert Non, and Magnolia Hotshots player Marc Pingris, a long-time supporter for World Vision. “Nagpapasalamat kami, we feel privileged to be in partnership with PBA,” Godornes said. “We hope that you continue to support this campaign.”
