World Vision Newsletter for Corporate Partnerships November 2020

World Vision celebrates partnerships with corporations, donors and sponsors On November 25, 2020, World Vision paid tribute to its corporate partners, donors and sponsors with “World Vision AS ONE,” an online event that celebrates the impact of collaboration on the lives of children and their families and communities in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosted by World Vision Resource Development Director Jun Godornes and World Vision Ambassador Gretchen Ho, the event showcased the results and accomplishments of World Vision partnerships while also providing a roadmap for future plans and commitments. “Through partnerships we have made great difference in the lives of thousands of children, families for the better. This is something we want to celebrate with you all,” said Godornes. “Just as the sudden turn of events has affected our personal lives, it has definitely affected the way we do business. In World Vision, the COVID-19 pandemic has also affected how we implement our programs and activities in our communities. Our focus may have shifted to what is more relevant and what is needed but our commitment to our children and communities stays the same,” explained Vanessa Retuerma, World Vision’s Director for Strategy Management, Impact and Learning. During the event, World Vision also presented different opportunities to help. These included “Chosen,” a child sponsorship campaign in which children are empowered to choose their own sponsors, Abutin Na10, World Vision and the Department of Education’s fundraising project to support the Philippines’ learning continuity plan, “Noche Buena,” World Vision’s annual Christmas drive for children, and “Songs of Joy,” an upcoming online Christmas concert. “On behalf of World Vision Development Foundation, please allow me to extend our sincerest gratitude to you for walking with us in this ministry for the most vulnerable children,” said Sergio Edeza, a member of WVDF’s Board of Trustees. “As one, let us look forward to the future with hope and with your partnership and continued support, we pray that the Lord will multiply the harvest to the same manner we pray that the Lord multiply partners and donors to share our vision for the future.”
