World Vision awards the Embassy of Switzerland in the Philippines with One for Children Seal World Vision Development Foundation awarded the One For Children seal to The Embassy of Switzerland in the Philippines in a Project Salute ceremony held on March 8, 2022. World Vision National Director Rommel V. Fuerte and Resource Director Jun Godornes handed over the plaque, which in turn was received by Swiss Ambassador Alain Gaschen. The Embassy of Switzerland in the Philippines launched the Angels for Angels Campaign last Christmas, in partnership with SM Supermalls and SPARK Philippines. The campaign aims the furthering of women empowerment, livelihood, and nutrition, by working with various women communities around the country to produce sustainable Christmas ornaments. “We at World Vision are humbled by your support to our advocacies which revolve around upholding the best interests of all children,” shared Fuerte. “Such endeavors for children are made more meaningful and its impact made more significant with partners like you, and with projects like Angels for Angels – where kindness and generosity become contagious and its practice a never ending cycle”. Ambassador Gaschen expressed that Angels for Angels envisions to be a source of hope in these unclear times. “Solidarity has always been a Swiss value that we continue to embody, and we hope that this undertaking could serve as a bright light to those who need it.” The donation will be used to support World Vision’s health and nutrition initiatives, impacting the lives of 24,000 of our sponsored children. World Vision prioritizes programs that will help children and their families eat nutritious food, have access to clean water, enjoy quality health services, and are well-informed about infectious diseases like TB, HIV, and AIDS.


Bank of America employees participate in a virtual storytelling volunteer engagement activity Employee volunteers from Bank of America participated on a virtual storytelling volunteer engagement activity held last March 12, 2022. The activity is designed to gather the students, teachers, coordinators and donors for a oneday virtual storytelling, which aims to inspire students to make reading a daily habit or part of their every day’s lifestyle, to develop a culture or love for reading among students and to make reading an enjoyable experience for them. This program is initiated to support the ongoing project of CIS in partnership with World Vision and BOA “Project C.I.S. to Read (Competent and Innovative Reading Solutions) – a reading program under DepEd’s Brigada Pagbasa.

Willis Tower Watsons donates 100 laptops to World Vision-assisted communities Willis Tower Watsons donated 100 laptops that will contribute to the improvement and quality of teaching and encourage students’ education. Through their generous donation, it will benefit World Vision-assisted community, reading hubs, and partner schools in Manila, Malabon, and Cebu. During the turnover held on March 24, 2022, Willis Tower Watsons’ IT Project Manager Benjo Gonzalvo handed the donation over to World Vision, who in part, returned with gratitude for their excitement to uplift teachers and students.
