World Vision awards LBC Foundation Inc. with One for Children seal World Vision Development Foundation awarded the One For Children seal to LBC Foundation Inc. in a Project Salute Ceremony held last June 29, 2022. World Vision Resource Director Jun Godornes and Donor Care Manager Precious Hope Basco handed over the plaque to Area Manager of LBC Express NEMM Richard Gonato and Program Officer of LBC Foundation Melissa-Ann Macarubbo. For the past 10 years, LBC has exemplified their loyalty and generosity which started by supporting 150 children. During the first year of their sponsorship, they celebrated Christmas with their sponsored children from Malabon where they had given each child a school kit. They have also supported the organization through various campaigns, such as World Vision’s Run events and Coin Banks Project, Typhoon Maring Emergency Response, and Noche Buena, in the past years. Moreover, in an effort to support the Department of Education’s move to address challenges in meeting the demand for classrooms, LBC and Philam Foundation, through World Vision, donated 2 new classrooms to a school in Batangas in 2018. The rooms have ceiling fans, blackboards, plastic armchairs, a teacher’s table, separate comfort rooms for boys and girls, and an indoor hand washing basin. For the past 3 years, LBC has been kind to provide the organization logistic assistance in delivering school kits, laptops, and bikes, modules, and mobile libraries in Visayas regions. LBC, through the Child Sponsorship Program, has supported around 31 children in finishing high school. LBC is currently sponsoring 44 children so they may have access to education, health and nutrition, values formation and livelihood opportunities and economic development in the community. Project Salute is a program, where World Vision awards corporate donors and sponsors a token of appreciation for their overwhelming support and trust throughout the years. The plaque was made by Kit Gresos of Papelemento, a former sponsored child.
