Robinsons Supermarket turns over donation to World Vision Robinsons Supermarket has been a partner of World Vision for more than a decade now. On February 5, Robinsons Supermarket Corporation together with its 2020 CSR partners, turned over their donation to World Vision. We are humbled to work alongside Robinsons Supermarket especially during the challenging time we had last year. They are committed to building a culture of generosity and kindness among their employees and business partners.

Bank of America and Mckinsey & Co. provide learning materials to children in Manila and Malabon As part of their continuing effort to support the schooling of children affected by the pandemic, Bank of America and McKinsey & Co. (Philippines), through World Vision, provided over 8,000 educational books to more than 2,000 children in Manila and Malabon. These are supplementary reading materials that encourage the children to read and improve their functional literacy. Last January, both companies donated printing materials to partner-schools in Manila and Malabon; while in November 2020, they provided hygiene kits which contain washable cloth face masks, alcohol, and soap.


Globe Platinum completes #ForFutureHeroes bag distribution

On February 4, Globe Platinum completes its distribution of school bags and printed materials in BASECO, Manila. A total of 1,662 school kits, initially pledged by Globe Platinum, were distributed over three events. As part of observing the health and safety protocols, only the parents and guardians received the bags on behalf of the Grade 5 students. The donation supplements the Abutin Na10 campaign of the Department of Education and World Vision which helped fund the printing of self-learning materials, supporting children’s distance learning and homeschooling modalities.

Coca-Cola Foundation and World Vision culminate the Trash to Treasure Project

On February 26, World Vision and Coca-Cola Foundation celebrated the closure of Trash to Treasure Project in Cebu, through an online culminating activity. Dr. Nimfa Bongo, School Division Superintendent of DepEd Mandaue City; Mr. Reum Sepeñe, Senior Education Program Specialist of DepEd Cebu City; Ms. Cecile Alcantara, President of Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc.; Mr. Jun Godornes, Resource Development Director of World Vision; and representatives from the participating school graced the event. Trash to Treasure was a one-year school-based solid waste management project that aimed to establish solid waste collection and recycling systems in Metro Cebu schools.
