Useful apps in Denmark Here you find a list of useful apps that will hopefully make your everyday life in Denmark easier.

The list includes apps that can help you and give you information on things such as transport, music, health and much more.

Practical apps E-Boks

In Denmark, E-Boks is mandatory. E-Boks is the gateway to your mails from the public sector and private companies. When you have this app, it is easier for you to access and use E-Boks.

Nem-ID

NemID is a digital security solution that everyone needs to use to keep confidential and sensitive information secure. E.g. if you make a purchase online, you will have to approve and sign with NemID. You can either order a physical NemID-card or approve and sign with NemID using this app.

Betalingsservice

Betalingsservice (Payment service) helps you pay your bills automatically. This way, you avoid having to worry about late fees - your bills will be paid automatically on the time of your choice.

Dankort

Dankort is the Danish credit card. With this app you can register your Dankort and use the app to make purchases. If you have forgotten your Dankort at home, you can even use the app to make wireless transfers in a variety of stores.

MobilePay

MobilePay is a payment app. You can use it to make purchases in most stores, but it is also the go-topayment-solution between private persons. With this app you can quickly and safely transfer an amount to another MobilePay-user.

Mobilbank

Mobilbank is the online banking system for your phone. You will gain access to your Mobilbank when you receive a Danish bank account. Here you will get an overview of your bank accounts, and you can also use the app to make transfers.

Health apps Hjertestarter

Hjertestart (Heart start) is an app used to locate a defibrillator near you. In Denmark, more than 13,000 defibrillators are available to everyone, and this app allows you to find one near you. Through this app, you can also make emergency calls allowing an ambulance to hurry to your location.

Hjerteløber

With this app you can sign up to become a hjerteløber (“heart runner”). If you sign up, you will be contacted if a cardiac arrest occurs near you. By signing up you have volunteered to locate the nearest heart starter, get it to the location of the person suffering from cardiac arrest and practice CPR on him/her.

Min Læge

With this app, you can contact your own general practitioner (GP). In the app, you can get in touch with your doctor, manage your consultation appointments and the data registered on you by the doctor. You need NemID to be able to use the app.

Medicinkortet

Medicinkortet (“The Medicine Card”) is an app that allows you to manage the medicine that your general practitioner (GP) has prescribed for you using an online prescription. In the app, you get an overview of the medicine that your GP has registered. You also have access to your active prescriptions so you can see if you pick up your medicine at a pharmacy

Akuthjælp

Akuthjælp (Urgent help) is an app that provides you with a map of hospitals and emergency rooms in Denmark. Here you can get immediate help if you have sustained an injury or another urgent issue outside of your GP’s opening hours.

Find Behandler

Find behandler (Find treatment provider) is an app that gives you an overview of various practitioners, e.g. dentists, physiotherapists and psychologists. You can locate the practitioners, call them, and find directions for their locations.

MinSundhed.dk

Minsundhed.dk (MyHealth.dk) provides you with an overview of information regarding your health.

Through the app you can look at your patient journals and see the related notes registered in the Danish health system.

Transportation apps

Rejseplanen

The app Rejseplanen (Journey planner) gives you the opportunity to plan your next trip with public transport. In the app you can find information on your means of public transport and you get a full overview of your journey. You will also be informed of any delays that may occur

Rejsekort status

When travelling by public transport in Denmark, you can use a Rejsekort (Journey card), which allows you to pay for your travels. In the app, you can see how much money you have on your card and get help transferring more money to it.

Bus trafik (Fynbus – Sydtrafik)

Many buses in Denmark do not offer to let you buy a physical ticket. Instead you need an app to purchase tickets for bus transportation

DSB

When you travel by train you can buy your ticket or pendlerkort (commuter pass) using this app. In the app you can also find train arrivals/departures and get information on the current traffic situation.

Trafik Alarm

Trafik Alarm (Traffic Alert) gives you an overview of the Danish road system. The app will alert you about tailbacks, accidents and roadwork. This will make it possible for you to choose alternative routes when you are on the road.

GoMore

GoMore is a network of commuters who wish to help each other reduce your travel fees. In the appm you can either arrange carpooling yourself or become a passenger in the car of someone else.

DR TV

It is mandatory to pay license in Denmark if you either own a TV, radio, computer or smartphone. This is to ensure that we can watch TV without ads or political agendas. In this app, you can watch every program from DR around the clock. You can also watch live television.

DR Radio

Through this app you can listen to DR’s radio stations and podcasts around the clock.

DR Ramasjang

DR Ramsasjang (DR’s kids channel) has an app of fun, games and learning for children. Here, the children will meet the familiar characters from the channel.

Radio Play

Radio Play is an app including all Danish radio stations and podcasts. Find the radio station that suits you best.

Other apps DMI

DMI is your local weather forecast- from the current hour to the upcoming week. You can see the weather forecast for your current location, or you can choose an explicit town or area.

Politi

Find your local police station or tip the police if you have relevant information regarding a case.

Mobilvarsling

If traffic accidents occur near you, Beredskabsstyrelsen (Danish Emergency Management Agency) will notify you if you download this app.

Rejseklar

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs gives you advice and information before you go abroad.

Google Translate

Google OversÌt (Google Translate) is an app that gives you the opportunity to translate words and phrases from/to several different languages. – e.g. translate the meaning of Danish words, translate documents or even signs through your cell phone camera.

Ereolen

When you acquire a Sundhedskort (health card), you can rent books, movies, music and games at your local library. With this app, you can rent audio books and ebooks for free. This way you will always have a good book at hand.

OTHER

Other apps Too Good to go

Lately, the environment and sustainability have become two large topics in Denmark. To minimize the amount of food waste, a cooperation between various restaurants and shops has been established. With this app, you can buy what is left at the restaurants and shops at a discount just before closing.

eTilbudsavis

This app provides you with an overview of the weekly discounts from the Danish grocery stores. With this app you can also locate the grocery stores near you.

Fødevare

This app will alert you if any of foods from the supermarkets are called back in case of contamination, etc.

Nyhedskiosken

Nyhedskiosken (News kiosk) is an app that gives you free access to the local newspapers and magazines.

Follow what happens in your local area.

Aula

In the Danish schools, the parents will often receive information from teachers, headmaster, etc. through a website/app called Aula. If you download the app, you will always have the latest information from the school that your children are attending at hand.
