We’ll be planting a total of seven trees to commemorate Berthoud’s 42nd year as a Tree City USA. Refreshments will be available, and there will be drawings for prizes! To further celebrate our love of trees, elementary school children in grades 3-5 are encouraged to create an 8.5” x 11” poster highlighting the awesomeness of trees for the 7th annual Arbor Day Poster Contest. Entry forms can be picked up at Town Hall or at our elementary schools. One winner from each grade will win a Dwarf Alberta Spruce they can plant at home! Entries are due by April 22nd, and winners will be announced at Pioneer Park during the Arbor Day celebration. Visit Berthoud. org/Forestry for more information on the Arbor Day event, the poster contest, and Berthoud’s urban forest.

Berthoud’s Community Clean-Up Event: April 25 – May 10, 2025.
It’s almost time for Berthoud’s annual Community Clean-Up Event. Town of Berthoud residents are encouraged to stop by Town Hall any time after April 21 during regular business hours, Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, and pick up your landfill voucher. Then, go through your garage, basement, and closets, pile up the useless clutter, and haul it to the Larimer County landfill. With your voucher, the Town will cover the cost of dumping a truck with a trailer filled with most household items. However, tires, electronics, and appliances with freon will be subject to additional fees. (Residents must pay any extra fees at the main gate.) Visit www.Larimer.org/ solidwaste for complete information and restrictions, and visit Berthoud.org/ Cleanup or call (970) 532-2643 for details on the program.
Share your thoughts on Berthoud with us
The Town of Berthoud is assessing its brand, and we need your honest input. Visit Berthoud.org to participate in our online community perception study. This survey consists of questions focused on discovering how the community sees itself. It will also measure recommendations of Berthoud as a place to live, do business, and visit. The survey will be open for two weeks, and respondents can enter a drawing for a $25 gift card. The results of this survey, along with information gathered from a survey sent to neighboring communities, focus groups, and interviews, will be available to the public at the end of May. We hope you will take some time to fill it out and share your thoughts with us.
