WIRE COVER: SOUTH FLORIDA'S HOTTEST BACHELORS

BY THOMAS BARKER PHOTOS BY IMAGE1STMIAMI.COM How old are you and where are you from? I'm 28-years old and born on Sept. 3rd, 1982, which makes me a Virgo with Aries rising. I am originally from Cartagena, Colombia. My parents brought me over to Miami when I was two years old and I've lived here ever since. Where do you work and what do you do?

Where do you normally meet guys? For some odd reason, always in New York City. What would your ideal relationship look like? It would look somewhat like Seal and Heidi Klum’s relationship: fun, spicy, and spontaneous. Not take one another so serious and just enjoy life and each other.

I work for South Broward Research and I'm the lead Research Coordinator. I manage a research site, which conducts studies for new state of the art drugs that aren't out yet for different pharmaceutical companies. I've been in the research business for about eight years now and I love it. Seeing patients' health improve in a matter of months on a new drug is a very gratifying feeling, especially when they're coming in and don't have insurance and we're able to help them at no cost.

Describe your ideal guy.

When and how did you come out?

What is the most scandalous thing you've ever done on a date?

I came out at 16. My mom found a fake ID I had, which she found while doing the laundry because stupid me left it in the front pocket of my jeans. That same day she found a local gay magazine I had in my room and then she confronted me and asked me the big questions, “are you gay and is that guy in the ID your boyfriend?” I had no idea who that guy was in the ID. It was just some ID I'd found and was using to get in to clubs. Anyways, it was pretty rough the first couple of years for my mom to accept since I'm an only child. Eventually she came around and now we are best of friends and open with each other.

Going skinny dipping in my neighbor’s pool!

Describe your first kiss? Wet and sloppy! Not so hot. How would you describe a typical first date with you? Not sure if my first dates are so typical... I'm pretty outdoorsy, so I'd want to either go kayaking or bike riding along Key Biscayne and then dinner, possibly ending the night laying out under the stars just talking and sharing our stories and expressing what we want from the future. Now that I say that, it does sound kind of typical. It's all in perspective, I guess. What's the most romantic thing you've ever done for someone? Taken them to the beach on New Year’s Day to see the first sunrise of the year together.

My ideal guy is funny with a sarcastic sense of humor. He's smart and witty. He's strong and knows when to take control. He also has a unique sense of style and is very creative. He would be very humble and caring… the type of person that would give the shirt off his back to a homeless person so they can stay warm. He would probably be a mix of A-Rod looks and Anderson Cooper/Andy Cohen personalities.

Do you think it is okay to hook up with someone on the first date? Why or why not? Yes, its 2011 and old rules are meant to be broken. I think it's perfectly ok to hook up on a first date. If the night leads to that point, why not? I believe sex and chemistry are very important in having a relationship, so why not find out if you’re compatible in bed right off the bat. You can talk all you want with someone, but when push comes to shove, if they can’t get you aroused, you’re in trouble. Ultimately, only you can decide for yourself if sleeping with a guy on a first date is a good idea for you and what you want from him after the sex is over. Oh, and don’t be stupid. Use a condom. STDs can take the fun out of brunch the next morning. When it comes to sex, do you prefer soft and sweet or rough and hard? ROUGH AND HARD ALL THE WAY!!! Lights on or lights off? Lights off but candles lit. Do you think a one-night stand can turn into a relationship? No, at least not for me.

What's your idea Valentine's Day gift?

What's in the future for you?

Taking a trip to an exotic location so we can share new memories to last us a lifetime.

Traveling the world!!!
