Put your beauty needs in the best of hands by becoming a client at European Aesthetic & Permanent Makeup Center.

Erika Tutoni is the owner and sole employee of the business and brings 15 years of experience to the table. She’s a master esthetician and instructor and one of the few master permanent makeup artists in Virginia. “Just this year, I was honored to be the recipient of the Best of Loudoun award for permanent makeup,” shared Tutoni.

The award is well deserved as Tutoni has traveled the world to train with the best artists to share knowledge and care for her clients. “I have trained in Estonia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Hungary and the Netherlands, all of which have long-standing histories of beauty industry excellence,” said Tutoni.

The training she’s received is extensive, covering any service one is interested in pursuing.

“The work that I provide has a natural look that is designed to the individual client,” Tutoni said. “We work together as a team to design and achieve a look that is the best fit for their features and lifestyle.”

She’s specialized in eyebrow permanent makeup on hair stroke technique, ombre technique, micro-blading, digital micro-blading, soft top technique, soft powder eyebrow, micro-shading, lip blush, lip liner, lipstick look, lip gloss look, eyeliner, classic eyeliner, shaded eyeliner, eyelash enhancement tattoo, medical tattooing, areola reconstruction, scar camouflage, vitiligo camouflage, stretch mark camouflage and old permanent makeup removal and correction.

For the past few years, Tutoni has frequently corrected unwanted permanent makeup and micro-blading that clients have received elsewhere. She wants anyone considering one of the beauty procedures to do their research on the artist before committing to the service as “corrections are a lengthy and expensive process.”

When a client schedules with Tutoni, they’ll always receive an individualized plan along with a post-procedural treatment regimen. “It is very important to me that my clients do not feel rushed at any stage and that they understand the permanent makeup process and are thrilled with the results,” she said. “From initial contact, it is my pleasure to discuss the types of services that I provide. Most importantly, I want to assure the client that my business and the service that they would receive will not feel like a factory and they are not just a number.” Each customer receives a free in-person consultation “because the bond between artist and client should be as pronounced as the permanent makeup that they are putting on their beautiful face,” she explained. “On purpose, I am my own employee because I stand by my work and reputation and my clients get all of my attention.”

During their consult, prospective clients and Tutoni discuss everything in detail in terms of skin care. “Like in permanent makeup, I seek a way to achieve desired results. Whether this is over the course of a few treatments or a longterm plan, the key once again is the relationship of trust between the client and me,” she said.

Much of Tutoni’s business is word of mouth and repeat clients. “I receive referrals from area-based plastic surgeons and medical spas for medical tattooing. This type of service can only be performed by master permanent makeup artists.”

Get To Know Erika Tutoni

Tutoni was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, in 1976. “During my early years under communist governance, I was exposed to the harsh realities of a world behind the iron curtain where freedoms that I hold so dear today were just a dream,” she shared. “I was forced to march with a red armband while singing songs about the glory of the Soviet Union. It wasn’t until the fall of the Soviet Union that I began to realize the dramatic shift of the world around me.”

In particular, she saw the explosion of the beauty industry in Budapest and the growing attention to skin care and permanent makeup for well-off Hungarians. “It was during that period of time that truly sparked my interest in the field, and it’s when it became my life’s passion,” she said.

Tutoni has lived in Loudoun County since moving here from Hungary in 2007. She feels fortunate to call this wonderful country her home. “I have truly embraced the American dream while becoming a U.S. citizen and opening my own business.”

Erika enjoys what free time she does have as a wife and mom of two beautiful girls. She’s often chauffeuring them between sports and school activities.
