An afternoon of fun for all

Over 200 Willowsford community residents attended Stroll Willowsford’s second annual “Fall Family Field Party” on Saturday, Nov. 5, 3-5 p.m. Families walked, drove or brought their golf carts over to The Greens, off Grassland Grove, and set up blankets and chairs with their neighbors and friends.

It was an unseasonably warm November afternoon, and Willowsford families made the most of it. There was something for everyone with One Family Brewing’s generous donation of their 1946 Chevy Tap Truck with unlimited beverages to New Orleans-style SnoBalls with nonalcoholic and alcoholic selections, graciously provided by Campbell’s Lawn & Irrigation.
The kids were kept active by The St. James FC Virginia staff with an obstacle course moonbounce and were entertained with face painting and glitter tattoos by Hilt Face Painting. Pop Notch Designs donated a beautiful Fall Photo Corner, and Darlene’s Photography stayed busy snapping special family photos. Zell’s Kitchen with Chef Eddie, “the taco master,” was on-site for delicious food purchases.
Proceeds of $1,800 were donated to local nonprofit One Family Giving to provide gifts to adopted military families in need over the holidays.
