A Note from Tenant House
BY REBECCA LYONS, CMCA®, PCAM®, LSM® WILLOWSFORD HOA COMMUNITY MANAGER
By the time you read this, we will know if the groundhog saw his shadow or if we can look forward to an early spring. Either way, 2023 is sure to be an eventful year! For starters, next month, you will elect two new board members. Special thanks to Mike Russiello and Frank Blackstone for their years of service on the board! Both of their seats are up for grabs this year. Please make sure to attend Meet the Candidates night at The Lodge on Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m. Candidates will make a short presentation about themselves, what they hope to contribute to the community, and will be available for questions. Online voting information will be sent shortly after, and results will be announced at the annual meeting on March 23.
Another important endeavor this year is developing a formal strategic plan. In 2022, the Conservancy collected feedback from residents and, through extensive research, created their strategic plan. The HOA process will be similar with the board of directors, staff and Strategic Planning Committee working together. Once developed, the strategic plan will determine the vision going forward and establish specific goals and objectives to uphold the vision in the short and long term. We are excited to see how the strategic plan will help shape the future of Willowsford!
One of the most exciting ventures this year is a project to improve playgrounds within the community, which has been led by the Playground Improvement Committee. These residents have been working for months reviewing each area and soliciting resident input to recommend to the board what equipment should be added, removed or just spruced up a little while staying within the capital improvement budget established by the board. We can’t wait for you to see the results and will provide more information over the next few months.
Finally, we hope you can attend some of the spectacular events our Lifestyle Team has planned for you this year! Check out the following pages for more information.
